Switching "focus region" back to Pincers before reset so my trade goods reroll as something that I can actually complete. Would rather get a 30 spice voyage and do it at 85% than a 35 spices at 60%. Yup. I need spice!You do know the loop isn't the place to gather trade goods? You also lose out on all those sweet adv tc missions... First to 99 Farming on 27. Nothing after that.Only successful voyages level crew. A first voyage takes your crew to level 3 or level 4 with a long voyage. I'm getting my first level 9 crewmen right now. I was under the impression that adventurer missions still used the highest region. Did they change that recently? I was still getting steel from adventurers when I set my target to the bowl, both when I first got to the pincers and about a month before the update. Scrolls however, will always be the difficulty of the highest region you are in. No way i'm gonna have even close to everything before shield. and going into shield without a max crew is going to be murder if we can only get 60-65% with steel crew in loop. Right now i'm getting 70-80% success for loop voyages with merchant. Wouldn't focus on a lower region even if that dropped to a 30% average. It would be a murder to focus on achieving nothing. Say I want to convert my Travelling Bands to Party Animals. Do I replace one Band with a Party Animal and level it to 6-7? Or should I replace as crew are rolled? Would this also apply to the whole set of MCS crew? Like, only work on upgrading one of each crew member at a time? Maybe not concurrently? Make sure not to run upgradees alongside each other in multistat missions? In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers. In terms of training, you'd like to have one level 0 at a time and send those on a high-success rate mission(over 80%). Begbie Posted February 17, 2014 Share Posted February 17, 2014 i've been hiring one each Party Animal, Sea-Fort Guard, and Pearl Diver at the same time, then training them up to level 6 before hiring another 1 each of the new crew at the same time again. in the time it takes to get them up to level 6 you should easily have rolled another 1 of each (and saved up 2250 cotta), so by the time you do get them to level 6, you have 3 new crew sitting there ready to be hired instantly. now that I've got 4 of each new crew, 6 at level 8 and 3 at level 7, i'll probably not wait till my newest crew reach level 6, since the other guys stats are high enough to compensate. For the hiring of crew, i see no reason to just stop and wait. All you are doing is just delaying the training, which in no way helps you. First to 99 Farming on 27. oliboli1992 Posted February 17, 2014 Share Posted February 17, 2014 I've gone back to the cherrywood and jade region as I used up all my jade and cherrywood to make statues to attract scroll missions, now I need to change the statues to attract more trade good mission... I've got my 8k cherrywood but now I have to collect 12k jade... Then I'll have to concentrate on terracotta to buy the ship upgrades in less than 40% until I unlock shield region. I didn't fail as many voyages as some did, and I don't think I ever lost any Cotta on repairs, and the adventurers were pretty generous, and I have had the bonus statues since the start almost.
