what is this companion app?

It is a web application that you can use both on your mobile phone or on your computer.

 

You can do a lot of stuff on it notably buy/sell on the GE, talk in pm, fc, cc; check prices, and check D&D reset times.

The Ninja fixes were way better than the main update!

Can someone please confirm that they were updated in Player-Owned Houses before I blow a lot of geepees?? :P

Pretty sure POH still use the old-OLD models for everything, since they have different npc ID's. Construction hasn't been touched in years.

So you have to destroy three of the best capes in the game just for an override, and an ugly one at that. No thanks.

Soon to be comp cape™ requirement to make players aware the content is re-playable.

i was spoiled by the 3.3k crimchins price, i can't live with 2.8k

 Yeah, I just instant sold them. My first 160 before I started my 2 hours sold for 3.8k... it is late and prices go down a little for stuff like this, but who knows what will happen tomorrow, so I just dumped.

Friend has one, the static model (dungeon not activated) is the old one, but when Challenge Mode is on, it uses the new one. I rather expected this, but still... :|

A great update. Skillchompas are almost a bit OP; That 10% xp even if you fail is going to boost xp rates. And not only that. This is a great new income for skillers as well. I myself now know what I will do for 99 Hunter. Great job with that authenticator as well.

I'm really loving being able to use the GE on the app at long last. Being able to flip whilst at work is amazing, I've only made like 2mill so far, but it feels so satisfying.

Lots of things to like with this update!

 

I like the new look of Hellhounds a great deal; not a fan of nechs though.

 

Rhino capes for range/mage is interesting, but iirc they're still not as good as Ava's/god capes which are both easier to get, so... *shrug* (They're the exact same stats except for the combat style, yes?)

 

The fire cape override looks terrible; I'm glad it's not the new default. That being said, I agree with Ping that (if it actually looked good) they really should update the default and then make the former look an optional override.

 

I might actually go do DKs now that I don't need a door partner, woo! Also extra task block, woo! And I don't have to go hide when I do my divine locs anymore!

 

I find it... odd? that silverhawk feathers are destroyed and not converted to any sort of cash when you die in the Wildy with them, not that I would expect anyone to take them in the Wildy in the first place.

 

I'm fairly ambivalent about the skillchompas. I may go train hunter on them some for some cash, and it's definitely nice to have another viable skilling moneymaking method.

 

I'll actually use the authenticator, unlike JAG, so that's nice to have around.

Obtained quest cape and base 92 before obtaining any 99s! Currently finishing out my 99s with the (long-distant) goal of comp cape.

skillchompas are useful when:

 

A) you're too lazy to go do grenwalls via giant chin tickets

 

B) you want to hunt something that actually grants you a decent rate of exp + something you can sell or skill with

 

C) you hate lizards

Better than ssb against mages. Still much worse against non-mages

It doesn't feel like it; I was hoping someone knew the actual boost. I switch between the three styles so this would be great if it actually is better.
