Plague's End

Plague's End - the Grandmaster finale to RuneScape's longest-running quest line - is here!

Help Arianwyn - leader of the rebel elves - foil a plot to awaken the Dark Lord, which would place the remade Prifddinas under the merciless rule of Clan Iorwerth.

Succeed, and you'll earn access to the Elf City when it opens in the coming months. You'll also get a huge chunk of XP and a thieving-enhancing exoskeleton to enjoy right away.

All of this comes wrapped in glorious graphics, including a full rework most elven NPCs in the game.

Read on for more information, or check the requirements, Log in now and get started.

He needs to track down the lost leaders of the elven clans and gain access to the sacred Grand Library.

Plague's End is a true Grandmaster epic, clocking in at two hours or more to complete. It's a real quester's quest, so it'll be down to you to follow leads and find your way.

As you progress, you'll travel far and wide across Gielinor, revisiting classic quest locations. You'll complete tricky light puzzles and engage enemies up to level 107 - including the legendary Dark Lord himself.

Prevail, and you'll usher in a bright new era for elven civilisation - and wrap up a tale ten years in the making.

Treasures of Tirannwn

Complete Plague's End and you'll earn the biggest reward yet bestowed by a RuneScape quest: access to Prifddinas, Lost City of the Elves - coming soon.

We're putting the finishing touches to the city now, and you'll see it open in the next few of months.

This is the update of the year: a whole new city to explore, crammed to its crystalline rafters with high-level content - as voted for by you.

Prifddinas will become a home hub for players of level 75 up, offering training from the eight elven clans, Grand Exchange access, new transport options and amazing crystal weaponry.

The Elf City will open very soon, but until then, Plague's End has other rewards for you to enjoy.

First there's no less than 800,000 XP across 16 skills. There's also the exoskeleton - a marvellous machine with a range of thieving benefits. Finally, you'll get a new title: "of the Elves".

  • Completion counts are now tracked for each difficulty of Treasure Trail and will display upon completion of a trail

Now you can count how many times you can complete dead content.

I really do hope they rebalance clue rewards on RS3, they are indeed fun.

Anyone know about...

So summoning leader was easy, pouch, 200 spirit, 1 of each charm on a summoning obelisk, anyone found any of the other leaders? Potion ressources are at the lodestone, no idea what the potion does as of yet. (Maybe make them visable)

One is at the far west end of the poison waste jump-to-rock labyrinth.

Mix the potion and drink it at daemonheim and walk in to the portal.

Trahaearn - South of the well features in Underground Pass, access via north of Lleyta (it's the black square on minimap in Tirannwn, pickaxe and runite bar required

Crwys - East of Tyras camp, chopping trees will show a light directing you to the tree you need to use plant cure on to restore him.

Ithel - 5 symbols in lleyta. Then build in the tree hotspot

The official Araxxor wiki is also out, releasing absolutely nothing new worth noting and being outdated to boot.

So Black Ibis will not become obsolete since it's so rare from PP? I'm thinking so since this has, what seems to be, better bonuses than Ibis anyway. I guess I'll be pushing my 99 Attack, Strength, Defence and Magic levels a little sooner than expected so I can do this quest. I <3 quests. :D

Please keep anything related to the quest itself to spoiler tags.

That includes things related to the reward of the quest.

Is this quest voice acted?

No

Where are the 5 symbols in lleyta? I found 2 on the frist floor, one near the bank and one on the south west house missing one.

Archery Shop

Also stumbled on this:

The post-quest dialogue for Birthright of the Dwarves has been added to the game along with the release of Plague's End.

Here's the list of characters have new or altered dialogue for players who have completed Birthright of the Dwarves. The amount of dialogue on a character varies - some have several options, others just had to be tweaked slightly because their chat referred to the Red Axe still being at large.

Some characters will be in different places depending on your choices, e.g. whether you spared or executed the spies. If you killed a character, they won't appear at all. Some characters' dialogue will also vary according to choices you made.

Some characters react to the memory wand. You can get the wand back from the Watchtower Wizard. A couple of characters react if you're carrying (or in one case, wielding) other items.

Grunsh

Derni, Dernu and Miodvetnir

Supreme Commander Bisi

Lt. Brae

Brendt

Grundt

Vigr

Klaas

Luitger

Red Axe cat

Meike

Col. Grenda

Veldaban

The director of whichever company you joined

Dondakan

Sieglinde (replaces Vigr if he was exiled or killed, otherwise doesn't appear)

Santiri

Pretty Flower

Keldagrim Librarian (lets you re-play the cutscenes; also reacts to the Azdaran document if you have it)

Myndall

Odmar

Orange Flame secretary

Drunken Dwarf in East Keldagrim (reacts if you're wielding the Dragon Battlestaff)

Watchtower Wizard

King Drunken Dwarf III (only if he's king)

The "Forgettable Tale..." quest journal is also changed slightly

Regarding a mishap related to the quest rewards:

Hi all,

I wanted to drop by and confirm that the correct amount of XP for the Plague’s End reward is 500k XP, not 800k XP. Both the Behind the Scenes and the newspost stated 800k, thanks to an error in one location of the original design document. We’ve updated both of those newsposts, and the design document.

We appreciate that some of you were disappointed by the reduction. So that you don’t miss out, we’ve come up with a plan: we will be adding 300k’s worth of XP lamps to Elf City Batch 1. There will be a little bit of work required to get them, but you’ll be bathing in XP before you know it.

Apologies again, and hopefully there’s one more reason to look forward to the city!

Mod Osborne

Has anyone tried the respawn thing at GWD? Is the fastest option much faster then previously?

I heard bosses spawn right after you kill minions.

  • The Trader and Black Marketeer from Player-Owned Ports now deal in the newest trade goods and resources.

One of my favourite mini-updates. :).

"Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come."
