Runetrack signatures - please **do not** ask for views

I'd like to take a moment to clarify our policy regarding RuneTrack signatures, since a few people in the past have seemed confused or uncertain.
 
In case you are not aware, RuneTrack is a site which tracks information regarding stats, stat gains, ranks, etc. for your RuneScape signature.  However, they are somewhat unique in their requirement that 10 unique people view your signature before they start collecting your data.  This leads people to ask for "help" by posting their signature and asking others to view it.  While we can appreciate that there are no bad intentions doing this, this is still spam and hence not allowed on our boards.  Please do not make these kinds of threads.

 

If you make these kinds of threads they will be hidden from public view (perhaps before even getting ten views) and from now on you may receive a straight off  warning point for it.  So, making these threads is really not in your best interest.
 
So what should you do if you want to get RuneTrack views?  It is not difficult to do so without outright asking.  If the utility above does not work or you would rather not use it, you can simply put the image in your signature through your user control panel and then post normally on our forums.  If you like discussing RuneScape, there is surely something you can comment on in General Discussion.  If you want to talk about something non-RS related or feel a little shy, you can check out our non-RuneScape boards.  Many people read our forums, and when they read a thread with your post in it, Runetrack will register it as a view.  It won't take long to accumulate the ten views that they ask for.  When you post though, please make sure you're actually contributing to the discussion, and not just empty posts (like just a smiley and nothing else) to spam your signature in the thread.  Such posts will just be removed.

 

Also, please be patient!  Even if you get 10 views in ten seconds, nothing will appear in your RuneTrack data until the next reset.  Nominally this occurs at 2am EST every day, but sometime it takes a little longer.  The point is that within a day or two you will almost certainly have enough views, so there's no need to spam in any case :P.

How to add a RuneTrack image to your signature

 

Simply do the following:

 

1. Follow RuneTrack's instructions to get forum code for your signature.  That is, type your name in the box and click the signature that appears beneath the text that explains the bit about needing to get more views first.
2. Go to 'My Settings' under your User Control Panel.
3. Click the Signature tab.
4. Paste the code in there and it should make the signature.
