Crystal tool questions

Hey all,

Does crystal tools affect golden rock rate when using a skill that is related to the tool you are using, but does not actually use the tool?

For example, let's say I have Crystal Chisel, will that affect rate of strange rocks when I craft, say, Potion flasks?

Thanks

Not that Jagex Wiki should be trusted too much, but they seem to indicate that the answer is in the affirmative:

The crystal chisel has another use as it increases the chances of getting Shattered Heart pieces. This does not cause it to degrade. The increase is provided by all crystal tools and it gives double the normal chance of gaining shattered heart and golden shattered heart rock if you're holding or carrying one of these items in your backpack or toolbelt when performing the respective skill.

So it would seem as long as you're doing something related to Crafting, it helps.

It does exclude the crystal hatchet and pickaxe as it is not the Crystal tools it refers to. It refers to the tools made by the Crystal tool seed, with the exception of chime as it doesn't do anything skill related.
