Bxpprod
Skill Capes & Diango Improvements Patch WeekThis week we’ve focused on bringing you a batch of fixes and improvements. Take a look through the list below. Skillcapes ToggleYou asked, and we delivered! This update will allow you to toggle between both your old and new skillcapes, plus you’ll be able to keepsake both versions too and toggle individual skillcapes at the skillcape vendors.Your new model has been updates and the older versions now have hooded versions. Diango InterfaceDiango’s store has been given a fresh lick of paint and interface improvements – head into game now to take a look at the update. Solomon’s Store – Companion Pet Familiar OverridesYour companion pets are lovely little critters – many of which you enjoy taking on your many adventures, and we think that they deserve to be more involved! To that end, your summoned familiars can now take on the appearance of your companion pets! Much like your Legendary pets, any companion pet you own can now be used as an override for your summoned familiar. The familiar will still retain all of its special abilities and combat effectiveness, but look like your beloved companion pets! Note that an overridden familiar will lose it’s appearance should you enter a PvP area. Simply locate the pet you want to use as an override in the Pet interface and hit the ‘Override Familiar’ button and the bottom of the interface. That’s it! Your familiar will now take on the appearance of that pet!And to celebrate this, Solomon has put all companion pets in his store at half price this week! Pick up a pet you’ve been eyeing up and take it all over Gielinor – there’s nothing quite as cute as Zenn fighting by your side! In Other NewsWe’ve got a few new things to try out in BETA, including the new death mechanics we’ve been talking about on the forums, and a new way of collecting loot. All going well, the Legacy/EoC mashup feature should be making it's way to the live game this month. This lets you to choose the combat and interface modes independently, for example allowing you to run Legacy combat with the New Interface System, or Legacy interfaces with EoC. Thanks for the feedback you provided on the features being tested on the BETA servers so far. [hide=Patch Notes]The following fixes and tweaks have now been implemented. If you believe a change has not been documented, either in the patch notes or the news posts for this week’s update, please detail the change so that it may be added. As always, be sure to submit a bug report should you encounter a gameplay bug or graphical glitch in-game.Skills, D&Ds & Minigames:Familiars can no longer practice agility on the Hefin serenity posts. Clan avatars still can, because they need the exercise.Quests, Challenges and Achievements:Dominion markers can no longer be smuggled into New Varrock.Other:Players are no longer able to perform higher-cost special attacks at a lower cost by switching weapons in PvP combat.Players will no longer disconnect if they try to recolour a pet with no pet selected.Players who tag creatures they don't have the required Slayer level to kill will no longer receive loot when those creature are killed by other players.Ninja fixes:The Slayer skillcape will now show the correct icon in the Player-owned House cape rack. Some skillcape sellers that had been left out have now been given the correct capes and hair colours:- Martin the Master Gardener will now wear the Farming skillcape during the Bringing Home the Bacon quest.- Hickton will now wear the correct shirt.- Ajjat and Ignatius Vulcan have had their hair re-dyed.- Ajjat will now wear a trimmed skillcape of Attack.- The estate agent’s outfit will now be the correct colour.- Cap’n Izzy No-Beard and the estate agent will now wear the correct skillcapes during quest cutscenes. The Circus overlay now uses the minigame HUD.Players can now see their summoned familiar's lifepoints in the 'Follower Details' tab.A sub-interface has been added to the Prayer interface to display current active combat buffs. The Amulet of Zealots has been boosted slightly. The animations used when catching implings have been updated.[/hide] [bleep] OFF HOW ARE U SO [bleep]ING LUCKY U PIECE OF [bleep]ING SHIT [bleep] [bleep] [wagon] MUNCHER
Yoko Kurama
Everyone begged Jagex for boss pet overrides, so what did they do? They did Companion pets, of course. Classic Jagex troll. No Vic. Why? Also Ninja Patch notes are just not the same without Mod Ryan.

Major Dash
Jagex what the [bleep]? Seriously. You make your shitty companion pets override familiars but not boss pets? @prod Why not just release the override for them now at the price of 1000 Runecoins? I'd gladly pay that. “I had a feeling we weren’t coming back from this fight when it began.”“Do you have any regrets?”“I don’t. It seems surprising, I know, but I wouldn’t change a thing. This is how it was meant to be.”“Huh, you never really notice how lovely the day is until you realize you’ll never see it again.”“Mmmhmm.”
Kaur
Those pets are done by different teams. Pay2win team has always time to animate their pets while Ninja team has not.
Saradomin_Mage
Showing stat adjustments on prayer is great. E: Wtf, zealots boosts single stat strength prayers from +6% to +16%, but only boosts accuracy prayers by 10% of their original amount, turning the boost from +15% to +16.5%. JAGEX PLEASE FIX. 1 In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Nah, Boss pets were done by the Ninja team.http://forum.tip.it/topic/327568-boss-pets-a-ninja-update/ Why would pay2win team waste their time on something that can't be sold for 235325 runecoins and bonds? Peronix
To be fair, they were already working on the companion pets before boss pets came. Yeah, I'm disappointed too, I want to use my lil QBD with steel titan specs :(

Boss pets were done by the Ninja team, but the pet overrides are not being done by the Ninjas AFAIK. Pet overrides are an animation job, not a Ninja fix. Tbf to Jagex on this one Familar overrides came out before boss pets and everyone went AMG WHY ONLY LEGENDS WE WANTS THEM ALL!:!:l!l1,2;1`@ Then boss pets came out and everyone went OMTGTJ,NJHKVBYG NO OVERIDES U NOOB CAKE SPLATTER FACES333¬££{!@:¬¬ Logic would suggest, if reacting to feedback decently, the animators who would likely deal with making the boss pets usable as overrides were already busy doing the existing sizeable amount of companion pets when boss pets arrived and would, hopefully, have the boss pets high up on the to-do list now the companion pets are finished. I mean it is jagex so who really knows, but just on pure logic companions arriving before boss does make sense. Helical
The updated new capes actually look really good. The tassels are hanging more naturally, they've made it look like one piece of fabric instead of several sewn together, they've made bottom of the cape have a bit of curve, and they've fixed all the colors. No need for the retro capes with the new capes actually looking good!

"Old and new"? What the heck does that mean?Does that mean I have the option between picking between the trimmed and untrimmed version of the cape? Why the heck would I want to have an untrimmed cape? The trimmed ones look way cooler.

Obtained quest cape and base 92 before obtaining any 99s! Currently finishing out my 99s with the (long-distant) goal of comp cape.
Arceus
Old skillcape: New skillcape (well before it was redone, but you get the idea): You can't switch between untrimmed and trimmed no, just between two different designs :). 1 "Fight for what you believe in, and believe in what you're fighting for." Seriously, that's stupid. It makes no sense to give the ability to switch between those while not giving us the option to use the old designs of armor and weapons. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm used to the current weapon/armor designs, but this just doesn't make sense.
Arceus
You can more or less, but it unfortunately costs RuneCoins. And with this update they actually listened to people not liking the new designs, even though we voted for it, and so gave a method to use the old ones again. Speaking of which, I better shush before they get the idea to charge us RuneCoins for skillcape overrides too :o... "Fight for what you believe in, and believe in what you're fighting for." Ammako
Technically, they do charge you for skillcape overrides, since you have to buy keepsake keys to have skillcapes as overrides.
Blaze The Movie Fan
I personally can't stand "runecoins". Jagex needs to realize that not all of us can afford to pay 100s of real life dollars. Those of us who have limited money can't buy even half of these overrides. Which does bother me. Yes, I like to wear my dragon armor 24/7, but I'd like to at least try the other overrides for sale. Arceus
Lol well said, although technically I think it's IVP and its majority stake that are driving such decisions and trying to generate profit off selling every little cosmetic thing and occasionally a bit more, as we saw the past weekend with the whole shark outfit. Chaoy2
You can click the Earn Runecoins or Earn Keys buttons, and complete surveys for the currency. I've never paid for either, and I can buy the items I really want from the survey rewards. I think the sponsors pay Jagex a certain amount for each completed survey, so it's a nice system. I'm sorry I don't trust surveys, because 99% of the times, surveys online are scam.
