TheLad1 65 Posted April 23, 2015 I thought both people were supposed to get the Mystery Egg. Pulled this golden cracker & only the other person got the prize - I got nothing?
Arceus 1270 Posted April 23, 2015 This is a different golden cracker - when pulled, the person who used it on you receives a Golden Hammer. This item was to commemorate Jagex's award of most popular MMPORG (or something like that) for one of the Annual Golden Joystick Awards. Wait did you pay for this? I think you may have been scammed :(. 1 "Fight for what you believe in, and believe in what you're fighting for." TheLad1 65 Posted April 23, 2015 Ooops, lucky it wasn't that much !!! He wanted more, but I told him where to go !!!! May this be a lesson to those as stupid as me ;)
baileydafrog 54 Posted April 24, 2015 shame you have a printscreen of it, you can still report for scamming cant you?
Arceus 1270 Posted April 24, 2015 Jagex unfortunately doesn't accept printscreens as proof since they can be "easily manipulated." And even if they did, they would likely feed the line that you entered a trust trade with another player so you undertook the risk and we can't do anything further. They do actually use the 'trust trade' line quite often. It's weird though, because pretty much all scams are trust trades or trust games: you chose to trust strangers and take them at their word, it's your own damn fault! Arceus 1270 Posted April 24, 2015 But from my understanding, other similar games will actually look through a trade log and maybe even refund it if it was a scam - is that not right? The practicality of it for RuneScape is another matter though... "Fight for what you believe in, and believe in what you're fighting for."
