Most n00b-friendly boss?

Question is in the title really, I want to start doing some "serious" pvm and I'd like to know which would be the best Boss to start (I know about the practice mode).

 

Right now my stats and gear aren't really up to the challenge, but I need a goal to strive for, so this would most likely a mid to long term project.

I think a great introduction to PvM is the Giant Mole located in Falador. It is a relatively easy boss that does not require over the top gear but definitely introduces you to general PvMing in RuneScape.  :ph34r:

I have no idea what your stats are, but since you said serious PVM I just jumped to that assumption :P

 

If not, General Graardor's a pretty alright starting point.

Barrows with ice spells is also a good place to start.

I would definitely give the mole a try. It's relatively tame and you won't lose anything (at the moment, at least) if you die, just spawn in Falador and grab your stuff.

I've done Giant Mole before; I think it is boring and the drops aren't exciting enough to really tempt me

 

In all honestly the more I think ig through the mire apparent it is that I am not ready for bossing yet, I havent even unlocked RFD gloves yet!

The thing is, without either 85 Herblore, higher prayer (curses), or higher melee stats, it kind of limits what you do, especially if you want to farm effectively for profit. Perhaps do more Slayer/work on those as well, when you get bored of the lower level bosses? :)

Yeah, to do any worthwhile bosses, you really need 80+ in all combats.

I'd say get the combat stats to at least 75. You should then be able to spend time at barrows. With your current stats you'll consume a lot of food/resources and might not get enough successful kills which can be frustating.

 

Or get all meele to 70 and come bandos with my team :)

King Black Dragon would be the most n00b friendly boss imo. It's good for beginners. Maybe not solo though - I remember I went with a friend back in 2008 and we both were low combat duo'ing KBD.

 

So if you want to solo, then yeah Barrows would be another one. Just have to know what each brother does - like Dharok - he hits higher once his hp goes down (and that's also part wearing every peice of Dharok armour too :) ).

I would suggest to you..

 

Do dungeons until 85 where you can kill frost dragons. Those are SOLID money, even at lower levels.

 

By the time you get DG tp 85, you should be able to buy a chaotic. Buy a staff.

 

After 85, camp frosts until you have enough money to make super antifires. If you want to do some bossing, you can do barrows and KBD, but you won't be extremely good at KBD without super antifires.

 

Once you have super antifires, continue to camp frosts, or start doing QBD. Continue until you can make overloads and get 92 prayer

 

Once you have overloads and 92 prayer, do prif quests and make holy overloads. Then, with chaotic staff, camp bandos. When you are able to last an hour or more, buy some magic notepaper and note the ourg bones

 

Spend money on 95 prayer

 

Buy drygores, ascensions, and you are set.
