...I don't see how I am going to get ~75k total points in 22 days unless we can average 3.5k points a day

It was asked on reddit but no one was sure. Does anyone know if buying one of the old pieces unlocks the better drop rate from gwd if you didn't complete previous ones?

In the forum QA they said no it does not.

Ah thats unfortunate.

As my goal is one set of warpriest which would be the best to buy?

zammy/sara

Any one set isn't any better than another, is it?

Zammy and Sara warpriest has a chance of protecting you from all damage, which is pretty handy. Whereas Arma and Bandos Warpriest has a chance of reducing the cooldown of abilities over 30 seconds, which is kinda useless. So Zamorak and Saradomin warpriest are definitely better.

Really? How come I didn't know this?

Because you're a Huge Noob! (sorry, couldn't resist :P)

And just FYI the new Tuska set gives an x% critical hit chance (95-100% of damage) where x is the number of pieces worn, if that helps :P.

"The Sixth Age, is where you, the player, get to decide what fate lies in store for Gielinor"

*event arbitrarily decided by threshold set by Jagex*

note: the bandos/arma gear might actually be useful concerning a certain 2 minute cooldown event ability...

So I'm curious, if Vorago is a being at least somewhat comparable in standing to a god, what tier level would he be?

Osborne?!

Back after a 5 year TIF hiatus. Please don't mind me too much.

Probably what the wikia calls "Avatars and aspects" Tier (lowest one, 7)

He kind'a is the aspect/avatar of Anima Mundi, isn't he ?

And the player's have fought other avatars/aspects before and won*.

I dont think we've won (directly) against anything better than that yet. Or at least I dont really remember.

*The avatars of Creation and Destruction, Bandos avatar and the Dark Lord

I was sadly negatively surprised by the quality of this event. Certainly the game mechanics are cool, and so are the surroundings. But there's next to no new lore and no matter what faction you represent you get the same dialogue information. The raid D&D quickly get repetitive as well. A lot of people are also actually ignoring the event now, mainly because the rewards are only possible to get "overtime". There's no overcapping and you only get rewarded for one stab a day. A plus for the game mechanics, the graphics and the surroundings in general (it is cool to be out in space, no doubt), but the storyline immersion and the whole "OMFG TUSKA IS GOING TO EAT US ALL" is lacking very heavily.

I am also very surprised Zamorak is in second place. He lost the first world event, and Bandos who could be seen as his 'ally' in much of ideology, lost his previously as well. I mean, Zamorak got DaT not too long ago which could explain part of it, but still...Especially as Zamorak was pretty much last during the first two days of this event.

Doubt it is linked, but what if Tuska is linked to the Dragonkin's plan of destruction for the world...

That would be a hard link to make since the kin dont have a plan to destroy the world particularly..just the rage caused by the use of the stone of jas

It has been quite awhile since I have read up on the dragonkin's plans, but the whole "destruction starts in Edgeville" post-RoM wasn't a part of their plan to tear the world apart?

I know this is off topic of Tuska, so something related: I can't believe I am going to have to take part in this event for over 10 days just to build up the points for rewards. Honestly, I don't have that kind of time to consistently devote to RS.

I think that was a small group of dragonkin. The ones that have gone crazy from their binding to the stone

Honestly, I think Chris L shows through on this World Event. He's very creative with mechanics, but its usually updates devoid of story or real meaning that he does. Bosses that don't require backstory. Rots and Arraxor for instance. They don't require much backstory because the players they want to reach don't care about that. Instead of any well known Godless character he put in Rago. Rago makes some sense to be there, but not really as a member of a faction. If anything he should be the "I don't care about your petty conflicts, I'm just here to protect the world" side instead of actually making him join one of the factions. Rago doesn't seem like one to actually join a faction.

As for Zamorak, I'm not that surprised. Zamorak is the only option there that is considered "evil" by many in the playerbase. So you have those that want to support evil and those that actually support him for lore reasons supporting him. Meanwhile, the "good" factions are divided between Armadyl, Saradomin, and Godless (since players are treating Godless as "I'm not a saradomin, zamorak, or armadyl supporter"). So in essence Zamorak's type of follower is undivided so while a smaller number, there's less overlap and they'll all go zammy.

Also probably most people that are in favor Arma and probably Zaros too would go for Saradomin instead of Zamorak. As Arma is seen as "good" and close to Saradomin and Zaros has been betrayed by Zamorak (Though Saradomin is only slightly better for Zaros)

I think that was a small group of dragonkin. The ones that have gone crazy from their binding to the stone

Also it was never really a plan or any such thing reveal to it.

The Kin lore is that the stone being used causes a rage to build up inside them which makes them want to destroy false users.

Many try deny this rage and work to free themselves from the stone, some succeed others fail. Others still gladly give in to the rage.

Since we first found the Stone we have been shown snippets of the 3 main rage kin hinting at their growing power until they finally emerged in the known world wrecking shop on Mos Le Harmless.

Lucien then started using the stone at the ritual and they made a beeline there - attacking edgeville enroute. Though not fully explained why they did this it both naturally falls on the flight path between Mos and Ritual and does have ties to the false users with Lucien's "house" there and everything.

As for the ending we are shown what is supposedly a vision of the future, shown to us by the kin, of Draynor burning - but we are never told it is part of some master plan just that it will be the future.Given that the rage-fuelled kin want to destroy just because its hardly a reliable source to say for certain it will pass. Especially when you fact in the appearance of various already dead people who clearly could not actually be there in the future. Plus even if it WAS the future at the time we were shown it there is no guarantee it'd come to pass -  after all at that exact moment Guthix was still fast asleep and the edicts stood strong keeping gods out.

Long story short - Edgeville destruction wasn't given any real reason and between the natural flight path, the rage and Lucien's house it's destruction doesn't really suggest any larger plan than destroying false users. The Draynor vision was constructed by a rage fuelled kin and can be taken as a general threat against us - another false user they want to kill - since it had a lot to do with characters that we got killed that we should feel bad over and the kin coming to a location we were at opposed to an announcement of a master plan to destroy the world.

Essentially in the framework and info given its not impossible that the rage kin are planning to ruin the world, but the few events we do have all fit logically with rage kin being rage kin and aiming to take down false users without any greater plan and never expressly state a purpose beyond killing false users.

Well, Armadyl is just some flappy bird thingy, Saradomin invented terrorism and dictatorship and Vorago is just a big pile of animated rocks, no wonder people prefer Zamorak.

Zammy is in 2nd...the big pile of animated rocks is in first. Well...of the factions at least. The pig is holding its own pretty well.

I don't know why people keep saying Zarosians hate Zamorak and his minions, Zaros himself said he holds no grudges against Zamorak. It learned him a valuable lesson. :)

I as a Zarosian ingame really wanted to choose Zamorak, until I learned Vorago and his minions are there to represent the Anima Mundi. That seemed like the greater good and pretty selfless.

About the event itself: it really shows this development team has no knowledge of how to write lore, so I really want them to stay clear in the future from anything quest and lore related. The Q&A on Reddit and RSOF made this even more clear, lots of nonsense answers and stuff that contradicts preestablished lore.

I am also very dissappointed by the fact this is all the event has to offer: the daily stabbing and some subpar WC/agility if you have time to spare. No progression like the other events, not even a cutscene when we logged in on 1st of June. The event seemed so promising during all the streams, they were hyping it big time, yet all we got was this... a massive letdown.

They actually did a pretty good job of balancing Tuska's health.  Next week we'll go back to winning easily (because of multiple stabs) if they don't do another balance though.

till everyone gets all rewards before event ends and she owns us again

Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!

Oh yeah, true.  I forget that some (probably most people actually, especially P2P) play for the rewards and not the lamps.

Firstly Zamorak cannot be trusted, secondly Zamorak is clearly a baddy, while Zaros is not (though some of his followers and many minions are).
