Apparently, they glitched it. They bypassed the Mirage phase...

So, to enchant and use Reaper Necklace/Ring of Death or to sell?  -_-

Was happy enough with Scythe improvements, Hydrix was icing.. lol

how much % does Ring of Death take for a 'safe' death anyway?

 

As per the main update, wondering if an Airut Slayer Task helps... ;)

On receiving a killing blow, the Ring of Death would appear to take 15% of its charge to bypass Death's office and respawn immediately.

So with that, if your degrade costs will total more than 150k (assuming 1m onyx) by looting it from the grave, or would cost more than that from buying back from death.... ring o death is bloody brilliant

I knew something was wrong with my math. Derp. Still, this makes it somewhat cheaper on the gp pouch to use high end armor at places you may die (rago)

What are you risking at Vorago lol? Just protect your weapon(s), boots, and shield. If you can't get back to the grave in 3 minutes, you've got serious issues.

Is the ring of death effect optional or automatic? Also, where do you spawn after the safe death?

Don't be ridiculous. 

 

Sample gear: void + 1-2 weap + aos + rod + boots + scrimshaw. That's 5-6 degradeables just for a dps. That goes up for tanks.

So the reaper necklace has become an incredible dps item for <97% accuracy monsters

And my opinion on tanking: spirit shields should be more suited to this than t90 shields.

They basically convert prayer points to lifepoints on a 1:6 ratio, meaning your super restores restore an equivalence of ~2khp per dose, which is quite ideal for tanking. Of course food is also a necessity, but your shield abilities would be reducing a good amount of damage you'd otherwise be taking.

Because spirit shields soak a fixed amount of damage, they out class EVERYTHING. They aren't in between dfs, dg shields, and rot6 shields, they are so far higher up that everything else is worse

Because spirit shields soak a fixed amount of damage, they out class EVERYTHING. They aren't in between dfs, dg shields, and rot6 shields, they are so far higher up that everything else is worse

And that comes at the cost of massive prayer drain.

I just realized something.

 

 

If you have a yak full of costly food, ring of death is preferred..

Death with that on doesn't cause your familiar to die and drop your food....

And that comes at the cost of massive prayer drain.

 

Doesn't change the fact that they outclass everything.

Barrows shields are still better in situations where you are using your shield to heal yourself instead of tanking damage (eg. Araxxor, Vorago Base, Nex)

Getting comp back is going to be such a PITA with this hard cap and so few teams heading it up. I think boss encounters that usually require over 5 players should be classed as a trim pvm requirement. If raids progress in difficulty runescape will inevitably bring us 15-25 man raids. This might not happen until the system can smoothly run with that many players interacting though.
