Hey, I'm chaiinchomp! I came back to RS recently, felt overwhelmed by all the RS3 changes, and decided to start over on OSRS. This blog is to document all my adventures and misadventures along the way.

I know OSRS doesn't have a completionist cape, but I like completing things. So here's a list of everything that I think would be on a requirement for an OSRS completionist cape if it existed.

Pretty content with the layout of the blog, finally! I think I have a section for basically everything I want to track.

Now to begin the actual, uh, blogging.

At the moment I'm alternating between doing quests (aiming to complete everything that I currently meet the requirements for) and training combat through slayer (or fishing when I need to be even more AFK). My current focus is to get my attack/str/def all up to 60 to get dragon armor and weapons unlocked, along with doing Monkey madness to get the scimitar. After that I'll get 65 in attack and strength (or maybe just go for 70 attack + whip?) so I can get in the warriors guild to get my dragon defender as well. I'm hoping by the time I get all that done, I'll have enough money to afford a few pieces of dragon armor.

Then I will be going back to skilling for a good while! I'm really intent on getting 99 fishing as my first 99, so I'm doing a few fishing trawler trips here and there when I can stand it, to get the angler outfit. Only got the legs so far.

I FINISHED MONKEY MADNESS.

Damn that quest to hell, I hate it so much. Never thought I'd have to do it again after I finished it on my old RS3 account. Apparently there's a monkey madness 2 now, I hope it's not as annoying as the first one is...

Wow this dragon scim is a huuuuuuge improvement though. On a fire giant task right now, with granite long I could only manage to get about 15 kills (with a full inv of swordfish) before needing to bank for food. With d scim I can do almost twice that.

58 defense now, looking forward to seeing how big of a different dragon armor makes over rune!

Finally got all my combat skills to 60. Next up is some questing, with a bit of slayer in between to get my attack and strength a little higher to unlock the warrior's guild and get my dragon defender.

Current shortlist of quests, in order I currently plan to do them:

1. RFD - Evil dave

2. RFD - Skrach Uglogwe

3. RFD - Awowogei

4. Haunted mine + Tarn's lair miniquest

5. Heroes' quest

6. Throne of Miscellania

7. Royal Trouble

8. Family crest

9. Underground pass

10. RFD - Sir Amik Varze

Might also squeeze Temple of Ikov in there? Boots of lightness would be nice, I'm nowhere near getting full graceful yet.

Anyway, still have a few skill requirements to meet to get those done, namely 65 cooking, 50 mining, 59 magic, and 48 agility. None of those should be too painful really. Yesterday I fished up enough lobs to get my cooking to 65, and along with it 3 clue scrolls (one each of med, hard, and elite). The elite one requires me to finish Swan Song (which almost made it onto the shortlist but not quite), I was able to finish the other two though. Nothing too exciting in terms of rewards EXCEPT I got a master clue! That one requires Royal Trouble for the first clue so we'll see where it goes after I finish that.

Got a few big goals knocked off the list - 70 attack, drag defender, rune rfd gloves, and bought a whip. Then I got distracted for a bit and realized I could fulfill my childhood dream of having a ridiculously fancy POH by buying a bunch of bonds for money. Never was good at making money in RS but I'm pretty good at that irl so... I got up to 70ish construction, with supplies for 80 or so banked, and built a ton of fancy gilded stuff in my house. I don't plan to fund any other skills with bonds (feels like cheating and defeats the purpose of playing), but since most of construction is literally just a cosmetic gold sink, I don't feel particularly bad about it.

Anyway, I put the construction aside for a bit and I'm back on track for my list of quest goals for now. Finishing up 50 mining and then I'll have all the requirements for heroes quest. I think after I finish that quest list I'll aim for 50 in all skills before going on an achievement diary binge to get at least medium diaries finished across the board.

Been working the past couple days on getting 50 in all skills. Did everything except runecrafting which I admit really doesn't sound too appealing so... well I'm skipping that for now. Onwards to achievement diaries! Working on getting all medium diaries now (except wildy because I don't really care about it). Still have a ton of quests I need to do to finish them, so I ranked the diaries based on which rewards I want the most and will be attacking them in that order:

1. Ardougne

--The Hand in the Sand

--Watchtower
--Tower of Life
--Underground Pass
2. Lumbridge
3. Varrock
--Garden of Tranquillity
--A Soul's Bane
4. Falador
--Ratcatchers

--Skippy and the Mogres

5. Kandarin

6. Morytania

--Cabin Fever
--In Search of the Myreque
--Rum Deal
----Zogre Flesh Eaters
--Started In Aid of the Myreque

7. Desert

--Enakhra's Lament

--Spirits of the Elid

8. Fremennik

--Death Plateau

--Troll Stronghold

--Olaf's Quest

--Between a Rock...

9. Karamja

--Tai Bwo Wannai Trio

10. Western provinces

--One Small Favour
--The Eyes of Glouphrie

Finished up the medium diaries now. Karamja was the worst.. whose terrible idea was it to require a gout tuber to finish it? Tai bwo wannai cleanup is a truly shitty "minigame".

Took a while for me to find another person to do the Trouble Brewing task for Morytania as well. Kind of a bummer that it's so deserted there, even in the designated world. I remember actually really enjoying TB back in the day. Just thought it was a fun minigame. Would be great if they improved the rewards someday to breathe some life back into it.

Anyway, not really sure what I want to go for next actually. Haven't logged on in a couple days since I don't really know what to work on. I know I want to do Legend's Quest and maybe Desert Treasure soon, but I did so many quests for all those achiev diaries that I kind of need a break from them. Don't have any major skill goals in mind right now though. Will have to think it over a bit...

Haven't played a ton the past couple weeks, and when I did, I needed something AFK so I decided to work on getting full angler outfit at the fishing trawler. Terrible minigame, could really use a rework. At the very least they ought to increase the exp, the rates are abysmally low at around 5k per hour. Took me way longer than the average to get the full outfit, I ended up going 77 trips (at 12 minutes each that's 15+ hours). But at least I've got it now.

So since I wanted to actually use the outfit I've been doing some fishing today. I have been saying that I want to get fishing as my first 99, so we'll see how long I stick at it. For now I'm doing barbarian fishing but I'm not a huge fan of it. Even though it's the fastest exp, I just don't really like doing methods that involve dropping my catch. I think I'll keep at it til 70 fishing though (68 right now - fishing guild hype!) and then change methods. Plan to do Swan Song once I get to 70 and then do monkfish for a while. Most likely Monkfish til 82, then Minnows the rest of the way to 99. By my calculations, I'll end up with around 85m profit and gain more than 24m cooking exp if I decide to cook everything. Pretty pleased with the idea.

Have been bouncing back and forth between skills a bit now. I did get 70 fishing and finished Swan Song as I planned, but I also did Legend's quest (finally!) and a few other things. I had an elite clue scroll in my bank that required Swan song for the next step, so I was able to complete that one, which gave me a few coords and then a skill clue that needed 60 firemaking. So I trained that for a bit, got 60, did the clue, and now I need 60 slayer for the next one. I'm not too far from it (59 at the moment) so I figured I might as well go for that too. It's my first elite clue, hoping for a good reward. I might stick with slayer a little longer if I end up having fun, would really love to get my combat up some more. But will probably fish monkfish in between whenever I need something more afk.

What I really need to do is my farming runs, I've been insanely lazy with them and almost never get around to doing it. My pipe dream at the moment is to get 83 farming for spirit trees, it's pretty far off but I'll never get there if I never farm.

Still been moving around between skills a lot lately. I did a couple more quests, started working on favour gain with the Zeah houses. Also got a few more fishing levels (monkfish are great and afk), and even did a bunch of agility and got to 60. Turns out it's not too bad when you're lazily clicking while binge watching trashy TV. I actually might stick with agi for a little while, at least until I finish my graceful outfit, since literally every osrs player seems to have it.

Haven't updated in a while, I've only really been playing in short bursts lately since life is pretty busy.

Since my last update I worked on a ton of different stuff, I decided to get everything up to level 60. I only have runecraft and pray left now, runecrafting because I hate it, and prayer cause I want to use up all of my ensouled heads that I've been keeping in my bank but I can't be bothered to get my Arceuus favor up enough to unlock the spellbook. I was starting on favor gain but then there was a news post saying that they might be reworking the way favor is earned so I'm not really in a hurry. In the meantime I'm just kind of letting tears of guthix alternately level up my RC and prayer.

Anyway, after I got (most) all skills to 60, I started looking at going for quest cape. I want to knock out all the prereqs first and then just do a huge questing binge for a while. Still 6 skills left until I've met all quest prerequisites:

* 68 mining
* 69 slayer
* 70 smithing
* 70 crafting
* 71 woodcutting
* 75 magic

I'm going for slayer first since it's the most interesting and it'll also help me get my combat up enough for a lot of the quest fights. Just got 66 slayer today, and in the process I've also gotten all my melee skills to 70 and bought myself a set of torags armor. The defense on this is a huge difference over the dragon stuff I was wearing. Looking at some of my previous posts, there's one where I talked about being excited that I could do 30 fire giants in a trip before needing to bank. Well, I'm on a fire giant task right now and I'm 100 kills in and still have more food to keep going, lol. Feels pretty good. I also unlocked my slayer helm and am working towards slayer rings and an herb bag (although I'm still pretty far from the 75 crafting I need for the rings... ugh). I got gem bag from MLM when I was getting my mining to 60 and it's really nice, I kind of want to go and unlock a few other containers like the seed bag and maybe a soul bearer.

I took a couple months break, was just not feeling it for a while. But I'm back the past week or so and have been doing quite a lot.

I did some more slayer, hit 69 which is what I needed for my quest goal, and also finished up 70 range. Then hopped around to a few other skills - I alched a few mage levels, crafted a bit and got that up to 65, cleaned out my bank of herbs and got up to 63 herblore, did a little bit of motherlode mine (and got my first pet!!! rock golem!), also went to Zeah and got 100% favor in 3/5 houses and unlocked the arceuus spellbook so I could finally use up all the ensouled heads I've been hoarding, which got me 57 prayer. Yesterday I even did a few quests, just starting at the top alphabetically and going down from there. Today I finally got around to finishing the wildy medium diary, so now I have all med diaries complete.

Basically I'm just doing whatever I feel like without much direction and that's kind of nice. I don't even know what I'll do next really. I am still aiming towards the 'all quests' goal but my desire for that has cooled a bit once I started looking through some of the bosses I'll have to beat. I think I'll want my combat a lot higher before going through with it. I'm sort of thinking about maybe going for a couple of hard achievement diaries, although most of them I'm still pretty far off from, at least it gives a bit more direction. Who knows?

Did a huge questing binge today. Finally finished a bunch of big ones - desert treasure, lunar diplomacy/dream mentor, and recipe for disaster - plus quite a few others. Not sure if I'll keep going on this but we'll see.

Besides that I've been eyeing a few of the hard achievement diaries, have just been picking random skill requirements and working on them. By doing so I'm getting slightly closer to having all 70 base skills. Have almost half of my skills there or really close. I'm planning to go for 73 base level after that, since 73 is 1m exp. That was always one of my goals back on rs3 that I never quite finished. I think runecrafting was the only one that I was missing. On this account I've barely actually runecrafted at all, nearly all of my levels have been from quest rewards, tears of guthix, and exp lamps... but that can only get me so far. At least once I get the quest cape I can try doing nature runes through fairy rings, which sounds a lot better to me than the abyss. I just hate the abyss for some reason, never liked using it. Hm.
