Necromagus
Although I admit the game's concept is quite interesting, I kinda expect it to go the way of Black & White. The idea looks very cool on paper, but in reality it's too much micromanagement to be interesting for very long except for the most dedicated of players. Ryan
I wonder if it's procedurally generated? Honestly, this does look it could be the best game ever. The micro management like you guys stated could be tedious and annoying, but this video just makes it look so cool.

Barihawk
I dont know, this looks really really fun. I was in awe. VOV
I've been waiting for this game ever since he gave that presentation. Spore and Oblivion will be the two games that devour my soul this year. I know the price. I pay it gladly.

Adam007
That game looks amazing. I love those simulation games where you can use your creativity to create things. The fact that it's made by Will Wright(creator of sim city) makes it even more promising.

Oy_the_Great
wow... looks promising to say the least! And since all vibrations are theoretically sound, then it is not unreasonable to suggest that the universe is music and should be perceived as such. Greatsilverwyrm
Wow.. It's not too-often that a genre-shattering game like that comes out.. The only thing I'm mildly worried about is, how is it performance-wise? How much space will all of that information take? Will it take 20 minutes to load the galaxy graphics? Other than that, it looks like more fun than any game I've seen in a while. I'm a sucker for games where you get to upgrade and create your own stuff.. Yeah, I'm hoping my computer would be able to handle such a massive game. WHenever he zoomed in and out real fast, I pictured the same thing happening on my computer but lagging like crazy and getting stuck. And I hope it doesn't take up a ton of gigs either. Anyone have any other info about its release date or its site by the way?

gonpost
I'm amazed at that...I mean...that's just incredible. The amount of flexibility seems endless. I didn't watch the whole thing through, so would someone care to tell me if it's rpg style, adventure, or what? Runescape Name: "unbug07"Expand your mind. Basically kind of like the Sims except instead of people, there are tons of species you can create, and a lot of different worlds they can populate in their own small cities which you design yourself. Greatsilverwyrm
It's so much more than that, though, which is why it's so crazy. You go from 2D pacman style, to rpg-ish, to sims-ish, to sim-city-ish, to rts like civilizations-ish, and then get into a whole new genre that doesn't really exist now - alien encounters with an almost infinite myriad of other planets. All the while being able to customize to an almost infinite degree, what it is you're playing with. Incredible.
stevester77
Looks awesome, but I was wondering about something. Say someone comes and blows up your entire planet like the creator did in the video.. if that happens to you in the game, do you have to start back on the virus level? Barihawk
No. Its not a multiplayer game, but it updates civilizations from the internet. While that world is another player's, you do not actually interact with his civilization. Turbobart
My biggest concern now is, how much space will this take up? They said hundreds of thousands of worlds, possibly millions. The base game alone before downloading other races and stuff from other people will probably take more space than any PC game ever created. I'm guessing 8 to 10 gig. Then once you start getting to other races, who knows...
