imhomer Posted March 2, 2006 Share Posted March 2, 2006 I am a relatively new player to RuneScape (only started May '05) but from what I've heard, things have really gone downhill since the 'Classic' days. Lots of people say be kind to others and they will be kind to you. Most people don't think this is true but I enjoy being Kind. I was training killing Moss Giants on Crandor when someone came up and offered to pay 10k for an air rune to tele off the island. I had 50 in my inventory from killing giants and I offered to trade him and he put up the 10k. I refused and gave him 5 of my airs for free. He was so thankfull that he gave me all his spare swordies (7) to me for free. Just putting an optomistc view on things. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
MD666 Posted March 2, 2006 Share Posted March 2, 2006 Something similar happend to me today: I noticed a low leveled player asking if he could buy some other low leveled players "jewlery", a games necklace. The other player said to him, no noob or somthing thing along those lines. So anyway I got out a few games necklaces, strength ammys and def ammys and gave them to this guy, he tried to buy them for something like 50gp and 25 mind runes but I explained they were free. About a minute later someone was doing a bank sale and I bought a few herbs off them. So I go and deposit them and a level 16 trades me, I accept and he puts up 6 unids herbs, and I put up 6k. lordrex Posted March 2, 2006 Share Posted March 2, 2006 its just strange how things go if i walk back from moss/ice giants with black/mith stuff and give that away to al low lvls i see they always think i m a god or something like that, anoying thing then is that they follow me arround al the time and ask for more stuff. oh and i also give a rune baxe or rune2h for a rune skimmie, because runebaxe and 2h are bad weapons in my eyes, they always think im crazy or something like that, but they never think i try to be friendly rsname: lord rex.december 2011: ranked 107th best f2p playermarch 2012 became member. After i did i had someone message me saying meet me in varrock castle i went there and it was some level 99 guy he said that he was the noob who i gave the armor to he thanked me and gave me 1k runes. True, there are way more crude and selfish people, but if your lucky you can find someone nice. At least that's the way it goes for me. It's cuz they are people that are bored and make fun of other people, but don't want to pay. Not saying f2pers are mean, I was once a f2p. But anyways, when I was lvl 30 or so, I killed a guy with full mith. He was skulled, so I get everything. I was feeling nice, and pmed and asking if he wanted his stuff back (I am a black pure too, so mith is worthless to me unless I sell it). He accepted, and tried to pay for it. I told him it was free. Anyways, sometimes I keep a list of peeps I kill in wildy. I put him down on that list. Last week or so, I got killed in wildy, skulled, lost about 70k worth of stuff market price. (Not too bad). I was annoyed, but on my way to bank to get cash and buy more stuff. I get a pm, "Hey man, you want your stuff back?" We met... he told me he always gives stuff back in wildy because of a guy who did that to him a month ago. Some people cuss him out even when he gives stuff back, but because of this guy a month or so ago, he still gives stuff back. He walked off, and I looked at his name, then checked my wildy kill list. upsilon5 Posted March 3, 2006 Share Posted March 3, 2006 when ever i used to make iron items really commenly for exp i used to give some away for free. there were those who sayed thanks and those who just walked away... :( it sadens me that peolpe can be so dam rude on this game but at least their are those who do say thanks even if its just a quick ty when ever i get my own computer and go on runescape more often im going to start making full iron and giving it to lvl 5-15s and also mabey some necklesses or rings if i can get enough gems i get i really good feeling when someone thanks me for little tasks like this person who was at the lumbridge general store was saying "can someone take me to a bank ( same question i was saying then since i couldnt understand that wizared ) so i said follo and lead him across the foresty place. he said thanks you and youre the best and went on doing his bussiness. that was the day i got my " walk a newbie across the road " badge Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Trade_With Posted March 3, 2006 Share Posted March 3, 2006 I try to do kind things whenever I can, I mean obviously i'm not gonna go out of my way to help people but, for example, if I see someone saying "Anyone got a spare fire rune?" I give them 1k fire runes. Or "Buying mith axe" I give them it free. By doing small things like that I hope that they will help people themself someday, but doesnt always work out like that...
