Ah man, I downloaded Run the Jewels the other week and loved the small snippets I heard, but I need to give them a proper listen.

Trooper, by Boys Noize.

Yet another sick-as electronic track. Love it.

Jason Aldean, Hicktown. Love it!

More old-school than you know...

Rat Race, by Brody Dalle.

Oh baby. Brody Dalle is awesome. Saw her live as the support for QOTSA/NIN when I saw them early last year, and she destroyed it. I believe she played this, but we didn't know it as the album unfortunately hadn't dropped yet. Love her and her projects as well, get keen to see her more later on.

On a somewhat related note, it's a shame Trent Reznor's missus didn't cameo at our show like she did at others, that would have made that concert even sicker.

Fire Your Guns, by AC/DC.

Since my last post, I re-acquired AC/DC n my music library, I deleted them because they get super repetitive quick, but when I heard they released stuff last year (Completely skipped by me), I got 'em again. Fire Your Guns is probably my absolute favourite, and The Razors Edge is definitely my favourite album of theirs.

Thunderstruck is on it too. Such a great pump-up track, and well-deserving of its incredible following.

Also, Big Balls. Because it's great too.

Trap Doors, by Broken Bells.

Seriously one of my favourite albums of all time, brilliant every second and not one moment of any song that's bad. Shame their follow-up wasn't as amazing. Still great, but a few notches off anything better.

Notice of Eviction, by The Bronx.

Loved The Bronx ever since I heard this track on NFSUG2 (The greatest racing game of all time). Short and sweet. Real shame I can't easily find all of Mariachi el Bronx.

Rosalita, by Bruce Springsteen (and his band maybe I'm not sure).

Great track, as with most of Bruce's best known stuff. Reminds me of the time we listened to him as my mate's dad averaged 160k's an hour so he could get us to the train in time to go see Chemical Brothers. Not the best fast-driving music, but it worked.

Hmm. The Brutal Legend soundtrack. One of the best soundtracks I've ever heard, and raises the game from like a 5/10 to a 7/10. Hard to pick a favourite because it was this game that inspired me to download a ton of artists, but my favourite track from an artist that I haven't downloaded all of is probably:

When the Night Falls, by Iced Earth.

Awesome track. I don't know why I didn't download all of them, actually. And this version is longer and better than the one on the soundtrack, so, sweet.

  • 3 weeks later...

Love Smooth McGroove, he's sick. Love listening to his stuff, even if I don't know the game he's doing.

I feel like I let you down, Dax. I'll step up my game, I promise

It's okay. ily

U Hurt Me, by Burial.

I really actually forgot I had this guy on my computer, and it's great.

Well, well, well. Here we come to yet another of my favourite game soundtracks. Burnout 3. One of my brother's favourite too, and I think it shaped 90% of his music taste. I'll refrain from posting ones I love from bands I have in my library, though.

Over the Counter Culture, by the Ordinary Boys.

Time and Time Again, by Chronic Future.

C'mon, by Go Betty Go.

Here I Am, by the Explosion.

Animal, by Mudmen.

All amazing tracks, even missing a few that were so good I had to go and download all of them.

The background music is just brilliant.

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc
