Lageris89
Ok so my computer one day started to not turn on, it'd work for about 2 seconds and then go off. I thought it was the power supply so one of my relatives who works repairing computers took the computer and fixed it. I say fixed it, I mean, he got it to turn on and stay on. Now however, when I load up the computer, I get to the Windows screen; 'To begin, click your user name' but then when I click, I get an error. It says: 'Windows cannot load the user's profile but has logged you on with the default profile for the system. DETAIL - insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service', and then it loads a blue screen of death. However, when I load my computer up and go into safe mode, it loads fine and everything is there. I'm guessing something has corrupt but I don't know what. I have a couple of questions: - Is there a way to fix this without taking the easy route of re-installing Windows? I don't feel like putting 60GB worth of data onto discs. - If I have reinstall or format, can I burn stuff to disc in safe mode? - Would system restore help? And if so, can I use it in safe mode? Any help is appreciated.

nvw08
I think your gonna need to reinstall windows, which you can do in safe mode last time I checked... It sounds like a ram error to me seeing as safe mode works.... Mabye a corrupt driver hogging all on your systems ram. Anesthesia
FYI: Reinstalling windows != formatting. You can reinstall windows and not lose all your data. However, you do have to reinstall most programs.
