Which Linux Distro?

I have 2000 ubuntu 5.10 (I was tired, thought I typed 2... gawd...)

 

and 10 of the new ones

 

the way i aquired them

they send unbuntu cds for free no charge at all

Well, if you really want Ubuntu, but your computer's too slow, how about XUbuntu? It's Ubuntu, but it uses Xfce for the Desktop environment. I would not suggest Kubuntu on your system, since KDE takes up much more resources than Gnome, but if you really want it all you have to do is:

 

sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

That is correct, but I would reccomend using

 

sudo aptitude install xubuntu-desktop

for this. It's much easier to remove packages like that with aptitude than with apt. Just to

sudo aptitude remove xubuntu-desktop

to get rid of it.
