The Fight Caves

You won't need that many brews, and you may as well take a recoil. (also, rune crossbow + unholy book + accumulator + mith bolts seems to be favored over crystal bow these days)

The lowest I've seen is level 57. (I saw a 63 with one who said he got it after the diagonal update)

Btw muggi, if someone hypothetically offered to update the guide, would you (hypothetically) accept?

Muggi, thanks to your guide I completed the Fight Caves on Sunday. It was my fourth try -- I had used another guide and guthans for the previous three, and then saw your guide and did it without Guthan. I wish I saw it earlier. Your trick for standing in the way northeast corner while killing the last 360 before Jad was very helpful as well.

I had Rune Xbow with 500 rune bolts, Avas accumulator, fury, ranger boots, verac helm and skirt, black dhide, barrow gloves and archer ring.

Inventory was 6 sara brews, 2 tuna potato, 16 super restores, 3 range pots and whip.

Again, thanks.

If I got a chance to test it out

The method I'm referring to is the one that's been posted a few times from the RSOF, using the safespot below the western rock primarily. I've used it twice and found it very successful.

The guide could easily be rewritten to describe this method, but I'm not much more disposed to make a video than you are as I'm currently not a member.

First off can I even do Fight Capes (My stats below)

90 range

86 magic

45 defence

44 prayer

80 hitpoints

I'm going to be going with the Ranger Method.

However I'm not sure if I should take 2 crystal bows or a Rune X bow with adamant bolts.

I have the c bow recharge down to 180k so it would be a lot cheaper than buying addy bolts. But if it was better to use addy bolts how many should I take. I'm a first timer so let's assume I don't pick up all of my bolts due to "not knowing what to do and panic syndrome"

Looking for someone to teach me how to Armadyl farm - pm me

Hey. Good guide, thanks alot. Is it possible for a pure with 60 atk, 87 str, 77 hp, 70 range, 52 pray, 94 mage to get firecape? My friend says it's not, but I'm pretty sure it is. I'll have the best gear, robin set, archer ring, fury etc. My friend says I'll get owned by the 360s at the end or something..

Thanks.

how many mith bolts (using range method) would i be needing, without picking them up? i dont wanna waste my time nor take a risk of dying just cuz im gonna run out of bolts... :notalk:

If you have an avas accumulator, you should be ok with about 1k - 1.5k mith bolts. I did it at 84 Ranged with around 800 bolts. :)

I'm considering tackling Jad as soon as members kicks in (2 days)

87 attack

80 def

76 str

84 ranged

56 Pray

Should i use rune cbow + addy bolts, or crystal bow approach.

Also, do you suggest using the ranger approach or guthans for my skill set?

thanks

For all of you who asked about what bow to use, the Rune Crossbow is the best.

It is the best because you can wear the accumulator to collect for you, and not feel bad about it because you don't sacrifice any prayer. You get to wear a Prayer book (preferably the Zammorak one) which adds a nice +5 bonus.

Also, the "prayer stopping trick" no longer works, where you open a skill menu or use an emote/prayer you don't have. (my bad if some has mentioned this.)

Thanks for this guide, as I used it. (Although I modified it after trying a few things. :D) Took me 6 tries!

Quest Cape gotten.

Fire Cape gotten at 92 cb, no guthans.

You'll probably need to get your range much higher (at least double in xp is my best bet, so 7 levels?) Other than that, it's possible for you to get it.

The first time i tried was like 1 hour ago.

i had:

karil coif (i want to put neitznot in its place for prayer)

glory

blk d hide top

"" bottom

rune boots

blk [bleep]ey vamp

karil's x bow 1k bolt racks :XD: (im bringing 2.5k 2nd run)

duel ring (how many recoils should i bring.. should it be jad only?)

my range is 70, im bringing 5 sara brews, like 20 super restores, and 3 range pots.

im too poor to afford guthans and stuff..

any suggestions?

*first post in my tip.it history lol*

oh and any money savers?

ive heard that rune c bow + addy bolts can save me money, picking em up doesn't seem like itd be too troublesome anyway..

edit: I mADE it to wave 36 before leaving, (knew i didn't have enough bolt racks to make it to jad... -.- )

Does anyone know about the fight caves update? I heard of it but don't understand what has been updated

I believe it was it allowed creatures taking up more than a 1x1 space to move diagonally. This means the safespot is no longer safe, and luring doesn't quite work I believe.

There's a new "safespot" further south but it doesn't complete protect you.

I thought I'd point out that some of the things said in the guide are no longer true. I'm referring mainly to the luring method and the safe spot, which are no longer anywhere near as reliable since the spawns that take up more than one square have learned to move diagonally. Unfortunately, this makes things extremely awkward for pures...
