ThoseTheBrokes
Just wanted to announce this, I am done searching for a camera to buy, I am going to buy a Canon EOS 350D! =D> Oi oi, What's the price difference between the 350 and the 400? Quite alot, but I dont really know how much, Because the 350D is out of stock in The Netherlands. (When my dad is in America he will buy it in dollars) Ah okey, It's just I was looking at the 350, But saw how many really good reviews were about the 400, So I decided to ask for that one instead. Have fun =) My dA account..retired, as of the 1st January 2008.
greenslime89
The crop factor is related to the size of the sensor. If you have a full-frame (large) sensor, then there is a crop factor of 1 - so you times the focal length of your lens by the crop factor to get the effective focal length (what it actually is) I can tell you for a fact that the 400D has a crop factor of 1.6 so you times your focal lengths by that - you have an APS-C sized (smaller) sensor which gives that crop factor. I will edit this post later when I have more time to explain it in full. I hope this helps just now. If you have time you could try putting crop factor or focal length conversion into wikipedia. They are the same thing. EDIT: This might explain it slightly better than I did. woopidoo2
Just wanted to show some photos :) Got up very early, and went to the woods. When I got there, I had no idea where to go in the woods, so I made nothing good there. But while I went back home, I made some sunrise photos. 'Best' picture from the woods: (Only 6k, avatar size  ) After all it was worth it, though (sp?) I got nothing good in the woods itself. (By the way, ThoseTheBrokes, they fixed the laggy website at SXC, its way faster now  ) [http://woopidoo2.deviantart.com][Tip.it Moderator from Dec 10, 2006 to 03 Sep, 2008]

greenslime89
Bumping this thread back up with a great find. Turn up your volume for this This is the new Canon SLR. The Canon EOS 1D Mk III with a 10Fps burst mode for 110 jpg files. 1.3X crop factor instead of full frame 1X or APS-C size 1.6X, a happy medium I think. Maybe they will release a EOS 1Ds Mk III with a full frame sensor to keep the landscapers happy, though the 5D or 1D would do a good enough job. Will you be drooling over this new SLR too or is it just me? : Photos!
venomai
I'm still new to photography, haven't had much experience with it. Any c/c appreciated. Used Nikon D50 and Photoshop for some post editing. First: Nice colors, im curious what the part underneath it would look like. Second: Smart use of shapes, square and circle. Got to go, no time for the rest :) But I have to say, the last one is very good. No signs of bad manipulation, almost real. Keep it up, youre good at this.
