3rd Age Armor overpriced and overpowered?

The New 3rd Age armor is a bit overpowered in my opinion. The warrior plate already beats the dragon chainbody by a lot of defensive stats and is more powerful than even some barrows plates.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This defeats the purpose of the Dragon Chainbody (Best unbreakable members chest armour) and Dragon Platelegs/skirt (Best unbreakable members legwear).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The 3rd Age Mage and Range Armor is better than Karils and Ahrims Sets now, which is why I detest the 3rd Age armor so much: Unbalances the game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You can get dragon chainbody from KQ at a low drop rate, but now anyone that can kill level elves and jellies can get these armor easily.

But there is only about a 1/10000 chance that you'll actually get a 3rd age armor piece from a lv 3 clue. KQ drops dragon chainbodies with a higher percentage than that. And the 3rd age armor is supposed to be uber powerful because it's from the 3rd age.

i don't believe that it's overpowered. It's on the same curve as the other armours really.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As for price, that'll come down in time. RS economy is based on supply and demand. As more 3rd age armours come into existence, the price will gradually drop. It will remain expensive for the forseeable future though.

Lets look at how this works, shall we?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1)

 

 

 

One to Ten Thousand, from a Level 3 Clue. You coulden't get one if you tryed your whole life. Picture getting a shield left half from a clue, not a monster. It is just astronomical odds.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2)

 

 

 

More members are comeing into the game then the equipment, so the price is going up and up, all the time. 120,000,000 for a shield that gives stats in the 70's is not for the stats, its for the coolness of haveing a 3'rd age item. People pay for the privaladge.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3) Less then 100 of every set in the game. Thats rarer then a blue party hat.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4) There are still barrows armour that can do better.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5) It's only good of CW, or other Safe combat. You don't take this into the wild, so don't whine about the stats.

They aren't that good, 3A mage has lower stats than Ahrim's. 3A range is slightly better though.

Third Age armor pieces are incredibly expensive and incredibly rare so its only acceptable that they have better stats.
