  1. There are many factors to this - Internet use has become much more widespread and available to younger people. As you get older, a larger proportion of the playerbase will be younger than you As you become more mature, more behaviour will seem immature to you. The recent release of the lending feature has resulted in a huge upswing in begging. On the other hand, I don't think its fair to say that RS itself has deliberately sought to appeal to a younger audience. Its certainly expanded, but its appeal is aiming to be universal. I'm delighted that the new skills are more substantial than mining, fishing and woodcutting. The more variety, the better, in my opinion, and I'm comfortably on the far side of the age range.
  2. Books based on computer games strike me as being an awful idea, but that doesn't stop them being written. Halo alone has spawned a whole bunch of novels describing Master Chief blowing his way through endless enemies. Seemed like very dull stuff to me even though I admired some of that author's other books very much. A novel about RS from an unknown? No thank you.
  3. Now that the first day rush has eased most items are relatively valueless (no more opportunities to sell orange salamanders for 100k thank goodness.) However there appears to be a market for the red chinchompas. They stack so you can catch them all day without banking and can be sold for around 300 each. That's not too shabby, especially if, like me, you are tired of churning out cannonballs to sell.
