RuneScape Information

  1. Happy birthday :D

  2. I think the ornament idea was decent, allowing people to customize old unused armor and gain some bonuses from the ornaments would allow more variation of equipment. Having Tiers of equipment like we do right now with no type of set effect limits what people wear. While TT rewards shouldn't be mandatory to have good equipment, but being able to enhance or come relatively close to the best equipment shouldn't be out of the question. Level 4 clues can take plenty of time to complete and come from some of the hardest monsters in RS, the rewards shouldn't be overpowered, but they should be good.
  3. Quotes are from OP "Lets start with the Prayer books... The Books of Law (Armadyl), War (Bandos) and the Ancient Book (Zaros): Guthix prayer book has always fallen short, and was nothing more then a cheap alternative to either the fully offensive (Zamorak) or the fully defensive (Saradomin)... The perfect opportunity exists now for Jagex to quickly adapt the stats of the new books, because lets face it; none of the new ones come close in usefulness when comparing them with Zamorak or Saradomin's book, and noone is buying them to show some awesome-ish recitement of standardized texts..." So how should they have done the stats? (if no other stats shown, they are 0) Book of Law: +10 Range attack / +10 Range defense / +5 Prayer This would be nice, people who kill avansies would love this and would be a good alternative to people who couldn't afford arma armour to do gwd. Book of War: +10 Strength / +5 Prayer A bit much on the strength, I'd keep it even with the DFS at +7.0 or +6.0 and give 10 across the board to crush, slash, and stab offensive bonuses. The only decent thing the book of war has going for it is a bandos item for people who can't wear any bandos armour. Ancient Book: +5 Magic attack / +5 Magic defense / +5 Prayer / +5% magic damage bonus Take off the defense, put magic attack up to +10 maybe +15 and keep the damage bonus on. "Next up, the Third Age Druid set... While it will look awesome when trying to blend in at Taverly, the stats are quite rubbish... Proselyte looks a lot better for the actual purpose of having a REALLY long prayer time... And who knows what Acolyte and Partisan armors bring us in the future... The only useful piece here is the wreath (headgear), everything else has its superior already... Unfortunately, I can think of no places where you'd be fine with JUST high Prayer bonus, and no other offensive or defensive stats, so there is no way for me to improve on this..." Put more magic attack bonus on it, and maybe equal it to prossy or +1 more than that. When people think of prayer and religions, they think about old timers, ancient people who have lived hundreds of years. Obviously this should mean that the older the armour is the prayer bonus should be higher. "Then finally the Saradomin/Zamorak/Guthix bow and arrows... What? Elemental Damage on arrows? The ONLY useful elemental damage so far has been fire damage on Ice Strykewyrms and Frost Dragons... On top of that, I would have expected Guthix to be related more to the element of Air (see rune cost of Claws of Guthix) rather then Earth... Now I do not know how much extra damage that will be, but it looks to be very costly per shot taken if it was any effective... One thing is good about these arows; their ranged strength bonus increases as you increase your Ranged level, up to a maximum of +60 at level 70..." I'd give another +10 ranged attack bonus and also allow a 1/5 chance you regain and arrow if you use the corresponding bow. Ranged strength on the arrows should keep going after +60 ranged strength to atleast 70 at 99 considering the arrows disappear automatically. Specials are the only reason these bows could be worth it. Decent analysis and ideas minus the book of war.
  4. I do pk mostly to kill 76kers and other wanderers that come my way. I think they should take out some of the statues and boost pvp equipment drops, they are a sinkhole(degrade into nothing) which means they always leave the game. Maybe make pvp equip for lower to medium levels as well. Statues need to come out of the game and be replaced by more realistic drops or some newer pvp aids.
  5. Played since rs1: 213 days 16 hours or 5128 hours. At minimum wage of 7.25 an hour, I'd get paid 37,178 bucks. This is since 2003ish, my friends think it's sick, I just laugh my [wagon] off.
  6. Glad to see even more reason to get up runecrafting and smithing. I am loving the more high leveled content, but I wish they wouldn't have gave such a high prayer bonus on this cape, takes away from trimmed skillcapes. Instead of complaining about it though, I'll add this to my welfare magic setup for prayer+magic bonus, I am hearing this is also good for corp because of the stab and prayer bonus. Waiting on my papaya tree to grow outside the village and I'll have the 3rd one done, then to train for the elite achievement. All of this on top of guilded altering 99 prayer is happy town for me. @People complaining about too high leveled of content. -Why does every quest or achievement have to be so accessible to everyone? This game is in need of high leveled content so the lower levels want to gain skills to get better things. Everything except this elite achievement diary is averaged out pretty low. Lumbridge Diary - Total level: 248 Karamja Diary - Total level: 554 Fremennik Diary - Total level: 617 Varrock Diary - Total level: 748 Falador Diary - Total level: 749 Seers' Village Diary - Total level: 754 and finally.... Ardougne Diary - Total level: 1378 Catering to the masses doesn't always please your constant base (High Leveled Members) I know a couple of my friends, especially Alpha leaving due to lack of high leveled content and updates.
  7. It's the fact that people are too lazy to collect their own materials because they are GE products. It's not a bad update by any means, they simply fixed the price of a few common items in an attempt to make them realistically priced. If Jagex were to take a proactive approach towards price manipulators the GE would be dotted with changes like this, which in the long run would be better for all of us. Just because it's unbuyable it doesn't mean it's impossible to get. That's what we had to do before the GE.....get our own items when we couldn't find a seller. It the 1970's there were long lines for gas stations. Want to know why? Well, OPEC (Players collecting vials) had kept increasing the price on oil (Glass Vials) due to reducing production (demand due to herblore update). Well, that meant gasoline would be more expensive. Well, the US Congress (Jagex) would have none of that, so they passed a law (changed the code) limiting the top price of gas (price ceiling in the exchange), but didn't do anything about the price of oil (ability to gather vials faster/cheaper). Well, that meant gas stations (players) would be forced to sell at low profit or a loss buying gas from the oil refineries (collecting vials from the store 27 at a time). Voila, no gas stations bought gas to sell to consumers (no one gathered vials to sell to players). Hence, long lines at gas stations not because there wasn't gas available, because no gas station owner is going to sell something he's forced to sell for less than he bought it (lots of buyers on GE for vials, but no one willing to sell). But hey, people could always drill their own oil, refine it to gasoline. Or they could choose to walk the 30 miles to work instead of being lazy. Look, price caps were only needed when players could get infinite items. Same with price floors. With infinite items removed, and players having individual stores then there's no need for price limits at all. Yeah, Jagex may monitor the GE to offset problems caused by price fixing merchants. However, they should not step in when it comes to how players determine what their time is worth (cost of item on GE versus gathering itself). The difference is that vials are cheaper to buy in the store, so people will still sell them for profit. It is just going to take time for people to go to the store and buy them, until then we have a shortage.
  8. What was your previous RuneScape name that you are listed under on the highscores?: 777thzapster What is your current RuneScape display name?: demonace34 What Tip.it highscore list(s) are you currently added to?: P2P
  9. I think for events, a bunch of people could send video to a central person, and they can edit it into a video of the event with music and such. I doubt video guides would be good because of how many updates runescape has. Maybe in place of some of the tip it times, we should have a video diary entry about an update or issue.(without foul language and edited well)
  10. Well MS, you are wrong. The GE was designed to work according to supply and demand. Just because people are lazy is no excuse. Also, I don't believe it is lazyness. If I can make 1m+ other ways, or gain faster xp hunting other things, why should I waste my time inefficiently when I don't want to? I am inefficient when I want to be, when it is fun. If people are willing to pay 2-5k for swamp lizards, why should jagex say otherwise? Or is this communistscape? I played before the GE too, and one of the most annoying things was buying rarely used items which I needed for a quest or something. Another was trying to buy/sell things in bulk, and selling a few of a number of different things. I ended up paying 100k more for torags when I got 70 defense BECAUSE I WAS WILLING TO PAY THE EXTRA CASH RATHER THAN STAND IN FALLY W2 AND TRY TO BUY IT. jagex needs to fix their broken GE system, changing it to be harder to manipulate, and stop screwing around with it in instances when they obviously either don't know WTF they are doing or don't care. Either one is bad. The GE isn't being used for normal supply and demand, there are a ton of false demands for items which ruins the actual price. All the price manipulation and fake bubbles on items are the problem. Price capping isn't a big deal, and I think they did that to eyes and water-filled vials to tell people to go buy them themselves at the stores. With every new update, these price manipulators come in and ruin the actual supply and demand because they want to merch it. I think they need to break these scamming merch clans up.
  11. Well, decided I'm sick of seeing money, bought 99 prayer. One of my goals was achieved on the way to that.
  12. I was 12 when I picked my name, I didn't want to start this whole account over but the name I've wanted in rs since i was 14 has been different than my original and I'll appreciate being able to change it. I think some of the people on the poll say they wont change their name because they haven't sat down and thought of what they may like to change it to.
  13. I like people who play the game for enjoyment. I like to see people who want to reach a goal because they WANT that goal. People willing to assist other players.
  14. I just use mousekeys and type away, if you have to type fast just peck the 5 key with your nose or reassign 5 to a key near home row so you can easily type and do mouse clicks on your keyboard.
  15. I will play me some mechscape when it is released, but I think mid-evil is my jam.
