  1. In case you haven't noticed, although you probably have, a lot of news and other threads here are obvious clones from SA. Not that I mind, I don't feel like paying $10 for a more rude forum, when I have a nicer community here for free :P I probably was once "that kid" at my school, although now more likely I'm not. I know that some of my friends are definitely "those kids," so people that only know me through some of my friends probably think I might be one of "those kids" before they get to know me better.

    Olympics 2008

Who's claiming they are? We know they're guilty, we just don't care. Frankly, you should care. It is completely out of the spirit of the Olympics to cheat. It completely sours the competition, and just devalues "winning" the Olympics. It seems that China wants to be in the category of countries that North Korea is in, ones that can't be trusted to not cheat or lie, in Olympics or otherwise.
  3. I can second the idea of joining a gym, even if it's just thirty minutes to an hour a day twice a week, working out can really help your energy and self esteem. It turned my friend's life around.

    Earthquakes

Did you know that en earthquake that is 5.8 is about 31.7 times as strong as one that is 4.8? (sqrt 1000). I was always taught that it was 10 times, but looks like that's wrong. I was in an around 4.4 quake in Reno once, so even if yours was only 5.4 thats still 31.7 times as strong as the one I was in. It wasn't too scary, but it definitely made me realize how odd it is when the three story (2 story for you Brits) building you are in on the third floor doesn't move as much as the tree that is outside is moving. That tree went crazy.

    Honestly...

Oh god, how I am dreading for that to happen... I am fully honest with my parents, and it works for me. They let me stay up as long as I want, and when I go somewhere I just tell them where are a general time when I'm going to be back. If I stay out later than I told them, they don't worry too much, and just expect me to come back a little later next time.
  6. But the sun IS a great "wireless" energy source. Once we develop better, smaller, more efficient solar panels, then there will be no need for plugs or outlets.
  7. Same here. (My girlfriend not yours)
  8. Wings, because they are so much more cool, and give an awesome factor that simple levitation is not capable of.
  9. The stupidest thing I ever did was launch a potato cannon (air pressurized) without looking where it was going. The wind blew it into someone's house, and we ran before we saw if it broke a window.
  10. C'mon America, we have to defend our title! Everyone go out and get McDonald's...who's with me?
  11. Ha, I WISH 15 was the age I could get a job at. Even at 15 years old, I can't get a job at the place I've been volunteering at for 2 years, because the city that I would be working for doesn't hire people under 16 :( So waiting until you're 15 might not work.
  12. Take it. AP=College Creds. You have nothing to lose. I wish I could take AP statistics :( But unless I skip Pre-cal, or do Calculus and AP Stats the same year, i can't :(
  13. So you're from Australia? Because it's summer around here in the Northern Hemisphere. EDIT: Ahh, I see you're from Brisbase, Australia, I WAS right. That sounds pretty bad, probably worse than any day I've ever had. I can't even think of anything that compares to that story.
  14. 3 burgers? I usually just get a Big Mac. I know McD's get a lot of [cabbage], but srsly, Big Mac is a good deal If you think a Big Mac is a good deal, then take a look at the .
