  1. Eh, i dont agree that its just a status symbol... i didn't buy it to look rich really i just always wanted one since rsc. Well, I wanted a whip since rsc, I post it here, will you give me 10/10? No, because a whip is 1.5M, I don't see the difference between the whip and the partyhat, just because the partyhat costs 132M it deserves a higher rating? So the more expensive, the higher the rating, there we are, back at the wealth. I would give you a 10/10 for being able to see into the future  On topic, grats ;) Anything that matches slayer capes is alright with me.
  2. With all due respect, I don't care how long you've played. Are you higher level than me? If so, kudos to you. If not... you have a bit more work to do. ;) People really need to see that the length of time they've played really does mean little to nothing. Your actual achievements are what mean something. If I joined in 2008 and I am level 138, and I meet a level 50 who joined in 2001... why should I think highly of him in any way? I've gotten 135 levels in a year, but he's gotten 50 in 8 years. Not very good. Speaking as someone who is higher level than you and older. RSC is a different game from RS2. whether you like it or not, the stats carried over, but it's a different animal but simply, I played classic, sounds like you didn't. RS2 has built in macros, RSC did not. I like to distinguish that fact. Money can't buy everything and every item should not be attainable to all so easily. Give away the rubber chicken and yo-yo. to rs2 players, they deserve it, but the ears, scythe and tradeable rares - Lets preserve them they way they were. Have to say, I agree with Das here. I've been around since Jan 2002, and was a big time Classic player all the way to the end of it when RS2 was released. Those who didn't actually play it won't ever truly understand where we're coming from, but old Classic players like to distinguish themselves from everyone else. Bunny ears and scythes are especially fun for us to have, because in some small way it's our way of keeping the old memories of Classic alive. And yes, it is fun to have something not everyone can have. Those old untradable items are some of my most cherished RS items, and seeing everyone get them would honestly disgust me. We were lucky enough to be around back then to get 'em, simple as that. I do see the merit of your argument Jard, but I disagree.
  3. So, you just ripped off my post on the whole piracy thing? oh man, my bad. I wrote that past midnight after being gone all night and didn't even bother reading any of the 3 pages of posts  if you want the credit, it's all yours... i could care less
  4. Well, to me the concept of a skill based solely on sailing seems pretty uninteresting. Now, if you take it one step further and make the skill "Piracy," then you have my interest. I could imagine going out on raids on the oceans, on boats filled with npcs and various kinds of treasure, that you need to collect and take back to a pirate master. Sort of like slayer, but with looting and accomplishing certain pirate-ish tasks. There could be different outifts that you can access at higher levels, and that affect your proficiency at pirating... similar to how hunting gear outfits work. You could start with a sort of shipmate type outfit, then work your way up to captain's clothing. And perhaps at higher levels you can assemble different/more powerful types of cannons to help with overtaking other ships. And while we're at it, why not have different and bigger/better ships available to you at high levels? Imagine being level 99 Piracy and have a galleon you can keep docked at different ports around RuneScape of your choice, that provide free travel to other ports, and can be used on piracy raids that a pirate master gives you. And if it gets damaged, say you need to spend money (or pirate loot) to get it repaired. Ah, anyway, just a thought...
  5. Why is it? Seriously I want to know why people value a usless pet. You've seen what it does, and other than seeing it for yourself you have nothing to gain from it. The amount of time and effort to obtain it is immense, and the zeal points needed could seriously boost up your stats. It would be nice to have an abby demon following you yes, but it just isn't worth the time and efforr involved, especially when you consider what those zeal points could get you. those of us who are maxed out on all combat stats really have nothing to gain from souls wars aside from the pets. the time it takes to get it isn't *that* much, and if you already have an abby head lying around, it's kind of fun to work towards it.
  6. love it... only 16 more zeal til I have one of my own :-X
  7. just remember that when you get to the high levels of summoning, crimson and blues are your friends \ otherwise, using 8k gold charms is incredibly hard to do when you're looking at the big xp values. trust me on that, lol on topic, i think the charms are a bit overpriced, but that's to be expected from mini game rewards
  8. You know, for all the flaws, I'm enjoying this game. I've only played 2 rounds, but I think it's fun in its own way. I have 5 zeal already, and the 85 needed for the abyssal demon pet (which I really, really want) will give me something to stay motivated for. It's not perfect, but I like it.
  9. Thx - its the Hawt Black cape thats driving me at the moment - the money will be nice as well though \ oh it's definitely a sexy cape, i still prefer to wear it over all others that i own (which is saying something) i agree with campbell though, use that cashola you're making and raise those lower skills up a bit - it'll be more than easy to do so
  10. once you get past the 10 mill xp mark, it's all gravy. and just think of all the money you still have to make with that last 3.3m xp or so : keep it up! 9.5/10
  11. loving the fishing level \ other than that, i'm gonna say nice levels, 8/10. and take it from me, summoning is lovely :
  12. ahem, at least i'm not 127 with 85 summoning and untrimmed cooking cape \ 8/10, good luck on the big 99 ;)
  13. I agree with this, wait until there's something you truly want to spend the money on, otherwise you'll regret it later when you need it and don't have it. other than that nice work on the levels ;)
