Computers, Paintballing, Computers, Guitar, Computers... Oh yeah, and Computers :)
  1. *Throws self in front of kurt to block imminent flaming* Paganism is a religion, like Buddhism and Christianity. It's not a one-size-fits-all title for nonchristian religions.
  2. I love the next letter after that >_< I just love that whole article. Probably the most funny thing I've ever seen on the RuneScape site. :P How come "Sucks" is banned ingame but not in postbag? #-o
  3. Personally, I worship Saradomin in IRL. No different from praying to "Jesus". Some prayers get answered, some don't. Thats cool but no offense but dont say "Jesus" with quotations, it shows offense. thanks. Back on topic... He is not being offensive, you are just choosing to be offended by what he said. I think all MMOs have gods... It's just interesting to be able to get equipment and skills that borrow power from them :)
  4. Does it happen to translate to "woo...woowoo...woo" and etc if you aren't wearing ghostspeak ammy? I was doing a clue in there earlier and I saw a message like that in my chatbox, I was confused :P
  5. Personally, I don't think that cleaning out the case would do much for performance, unless the dust buildup was so bad that you had heat issues. It would be wiser to diagnose first with a program like SpeedFan to see what temp the CPU is running at, then check out your CPU specs (google) to see what the best running temp is. Reformatting, however, would work... Assuming that your computer's hardware has enough potential to begin with. I'd hate to see someone do a system format for the sake of performance, while running some ancient onboard graphics chip  Also, your reformatting guide isn't very detailed. You are assuming that we have some sort of system backup to fall back on, which isn't true in all cases. The alternative is to run a boot disk with system tools, format your system, reinstall an operating system via a CD, then go driver hunting on the internet to get everything working.
  6. That happens to me when I run HD under Windows with an ATI radeon xpress 200 graphics chip, it's like it's running at 256 colors or something :| Oddly enough, if I boot Linux Ubuntu it runs fullscreen perfectly, which is surprising since ATI makes rubbish Linux drivers in comparison to their Windows ones :D Unspam, the cave horror caves are amazing!
  7. There's four complaints on the whole site, one from a mother who was convinced by her son that the RWTers she was buying him items from were Jagex (and then got scammed and is taking it out on Jagex), two people complaining about having their accounts taken away, and one ranting on the trade restrictions and wilderness removal. Now just change the background color and page layout, and you have the RSoF \
  8. Jagex isn't ever going to give into rioting... Wouldn't that just send the message that rioting is the way to get things the way you want? And besides, they're paying Jag to riot :wall:
  9. They should pull a FF VIII and show a bunch of epic CGI, to mislead people into thinking that it's gameplay  But seriously, I don't know whether or not it'd be a great idea, because it's become somewhat of a fad to bash Runescape for it's graphics, and it's probably a bad idea to stick it next to the other things at E3 for something to contrast it against :?
  10. A few mistakes you made... "...the whole game is played with just your mouse." You can also chat with friends (with the keyboard!), which is an integral part of the MMO aspect of the game. "The goal of Runescape is to complete the quests that are scattered at random points throughout the world." Or skill... Go PKing, play some of the several dozen minigames, form a clan, get a group together and go monster hunting... It's shallow to just define one goal, because you make it sound like there isn't much else to do other than grind skills to meet quest requirements (although to be fair, that's basically all you can do with f2p). "...the Runescape economy would collapse due to lack of supply of F2P items such as normal Rune Essence, Yew logs, Lobsters, and Air Runes." 98% of serious runecrafters don't use normal essence, the member's yew trees are always crowded, lobsters are often power fished for exp in both premium and nonmembers, and because of level restrictions, everybody has to start out making air runes. They're also a staple rune for most spells which makes them a bulk item. If you want to give a higher score, you should really consider getting a membership and playing some minigames with friends... And IMO gameplay > graphics, but that's just me :
  11. I'd say "T" for North America... Mostly because I've never seen an "E" rated game with any blood in it at all, not even the odd blood splat on a dungeon floor 8-)
  12. How the hell am I supposed to make more profit than normal with summoning if I can only use them in multicombat and I have to make obelisk trips every 20 minutes? :| Technically, I could replace the obelisk trip with going to fish and cook my own food (as opposed to buying it) and still "make a profit" :) Unless they're talking about non-combat familiar powers... In which case it's kinda odd that it raises combat so much. I'm curious about the beaver's multichop versus a magic tree.
  13. Runescape's hardcore, right wing Christian population... Putting the fun back in fundamental extremism :P Questions, (1) Definitely not... How can you have a problem with using "familiars", but no problem with casting magic at people and praying to multiple deities? I'd consider it if you recharged summoning by saying the lord's prayer backwards or something... But it's not like that (I hope). (2) Probably not 99% of the time, but you never know where people will find their inspiration to do things like that. I'm not even going to use the word "Satanist" because it's just a brand for everything not Christian (real theistic Satanists are few and attention starved). (3) I don't think the mod could have handled that post any better, he really did a good job there :)
  14. Why are some people even assuming this could be "The" summoning obelisk? :-s First it looks nothing like the official pictures of it Jagex gave us. And there obviously wont be just one in the whole world.. Would make the use of that skill very unconvenient. It might look like it if they decide to release a small graphics update with summoning :-w They likely would add more too... I'm just looking for a reason that those stones could be there, and the best bet looks summoning related.
