RuneScape Information

  1. I'd like to dungeoneer with you guys soon but every time I try to join a party either they're not playing with private on, or I'm just straight ignored... better luck later in the night I suppose.
  2. But I like my arrows for necro/trio/behemoth... Alright, guess I'll get rid of them. 70 RC has also long been a goal of mine, the comment about zombies is very true though. I've actually held celestial surgeboxes before but obviously unable to use, I'll see what I can do about that. Also 99 strength is obviously on the shortlist of goals, and I hope to achieve it within a couple weeks. How do I find DGS' dungeon parties though? That's my only bottleneck atm.
  3. Thanks for the quick replies! I've read a fair bit of this thread just now, but failed to find info on how to get first contact. The clan chat is obviously hard to get to, and I couldn't find a friends chat name or something of the kind. If it helps, I can at least state my binds and stuff: Promethium Maul Berserker ring T7 SSH 85 dungeoneering Frosts are good money and all but it's also a fun skill to train - though my w117 experiences have been good at times, the winterfaces I see here make me drool... EDIT: Forgot to mention 125 prom arrows p++ and I do have access to Skype.
  4. Guess I won't be dungeoneering during the double xp weekend. Thanks.
  5. From the KB: "Tokens - These tokens can be exchanged with the reward trader on the surface of Daemonheim. Tokens are calculated at the rate of 1 token for every 10 Dungeoneering XP" The tokens are derived from the xp, not the other way around. Bonus xp means bonus tokens.
  6. If it's any help, my account started out as a F2P mage pure. 10 def for combat robes, 59 mage and 35ish hp. I got quite a few kills but never managed to turn it into a profit. Between people who just run away and the cost of your spells, it's never going to be profitable. It will be fun though. One more thing: with 59 mage and 40 attack, the highest strength you can have without the 59 mage becoming pointless (i.e. not determining your cb level anymore) is 49. If you get 70 strength you should go for 73 magic (not entirely pointless - you'll be more accurate).
  7. Rushing: 1 def DMing: either 20 or 45. Regular duel with running away: I honestly don't know. It's not so much about the levels here as it is about the people controlling the character.
  8. You should really use the tip.it combat calculator (here) to see how many range levels you can get before you level combat. For instance, when inserting your stats into it, it tells us you need 4 more range levels to level combat. Meaning you can actually grow 3 range levels without growing a combat level. You should remember that two thirds of your combined attack and strength level should roughly be your range level. As for HP, it's useful to have at least 50 hp. But after that, it becomes less of an issue. You should always be eating at a certain amount of HP, and barring 'safing', your max hp doesn't really matter. However, if you fight with 60 hp against someone with 70 hp, you're probably going to have to eat before you can try and KO your opponent. Long story short, don't get alot of hp (train ranging guild, soul wars, pest control), but not too little either.
  9. Hey all, http://services.runescape.com/m=adventurers-log/c=ox7B3QKtDCY/display_player_profile.ws [EDIT: How convenient, you can just click on my RSN on the left side of this post to view my hiscores page. So, after months of 42 def, I got between a rock for the chaos dwarf quests and get a Hand cannon (it's rather fun, exploded 3 right now). I'm kinda pinned down what to do next. I got 43 def off that quest, and I'm leaning towards getting 45 especially since I skipped some useful quests that give def (nature spirit, heroes'...). I'm rather proud of vengeance at 82 combat and I'm definitely not going to get higher than 45. I also have low strength. Those of you who hiscored me will notice I'm currently ranked #176th in the minigame Fist of Guthix, which I enjoy more than regular PKing (can't lose void ;) ). Some of my concerns: - Should I get 75 attack for Staff of Light/Godswords? - Should I spend my 12M-ish bank on master wand, rings, fury amulet or save up for claws? - Should I try and get a Fire cape? - Should I get Smite? If any (or all) of these answer yes, I will have to get Strength up alot too. Without melee I will max out at around 90 combat, with 75 attack/99 str that will change to little under 100 combat. This is really not what I'm looking for at the moment since right now beating a 130+ yields 50 or even more rating. And I can always melee on my main. On the other hand, it would be swell to not be predictable. While my Zanik's Crossbow specs 50s at the moment, even one game with a pro who remembers me and the match is alot harder the second time. Before pouring my heart out more I'm going to wait and see what you all have to say/think about my account :)
  10. I don't attend those events, but I'd like to point out why. TET events seem like these really private events. Every week or so you guys post a cryptic story, and it seems like it will result in a pvp event and a clothing contest of some sorts. And I did join one of those events once, but didn't really feel welcome. It's like you have this close community that's not very open to newcomers. Just my impression, but I thought I'd throw it in.
  11. In the Magic skillguide, it is stated that combining the 10% damage boost of staffs with the 40% damage boost of extreme magic/overload potion results in a 50% damage boost. However, the boosts are applied seperately, resulting in a 54% damage boost. Example: Ice Barrage: 30 * 1,1 * 1,4 = 46 (the true max hit) 30 * 1,5 = 45 (max hit according to tip.it)
  12. What a freaking hypocrite! If anything, Jagex has copied other games/movies/books for years, most infuriating of which are Worms/Worms2 (arcanists), Advance Wars (war of gielinor or whatever that crap's called) and many quests following the story line or slightly altered storylines of existion fiction.
  13. don't listen to this spammer... try searching the AoW It's right there between the attack dummies, it's called a 'combat scroll'. It contains a detailed guide about how to defeat any monster.
