  1. Wow! That is definitely one of the hardest challenges completed so far. Nice work getting all that stuff in a short time.
  2. I pretty clearly stated that I had to use a rune shop INSTEAD of the GE. I did not use a single player or GE trade the entire time. I picked up snape grass myself, bought vials in taverly. If i had used the GE i could have done the challenge in under an hour, and i could have sold my 3k fires and 65 natures for a lot more than i really got. There is a rune shop in varrock, and if you look at the picture I am walking past the GE from the direction of Edgeville towards the direction of Varrock. No hard feelings about the misconception. Although I clearly stated my actions, I will edit my description so that there will be no more confusion. I included the picture of the GE to show that I was not using it, and because I found it humorous that I was going to sell all my stuff for about half the price I could easily get on the Grand Exchange.
  3. Finished the barrows challenge in 3 hours, 6 minutes, and 50 seconds (3:06:50). I don't have time now, but I will post several pictures later. I was extremely unlucky getting the ranarrs for potions. It took me an hour to get 1 but only about 40 minutes to get 6 more. Eventually I got enough ranarrs and stuff to sell, so I bought all the runes i would need, and made a yew shortbow to fight Ahrim. At barrows everything went wrong. I left Dharok early and had to fight him again. In the tunnels Karil spawned on me about 3 times. Finally I got to the chest, but I didn't have a teleport of course. While running out I got hit down to 4 hp and I only had 2 salmon left. I barely made it out alive, Unfortunately I didn't get a barrows drop. I think I could easily cut an hour off my time if I was a little bit luckier. After refining my method slightly, I could possibly get under 2 hours. Anyways, thanks for the challenge idea. I really enjoyed it, and I may try again to beat my time soon. Here are the pictures: After nearly an hour of fighting I only had one ranarr, but my luck improved eventually. [hide=Getting ranarrs][/hide] Finally I got enough fire runes to sell. Unfortunately I had to sell them to the rune shop instead of the Grand Exchange. I DID NOT USE THE GRAND EXCHANGE. [hide=Walking by the GE, but not using it][/hide] I got all my stuff ready and had to walk all the way to Canifis. At least I could use the boat shortcut to Barrows. [hide=Wish I had an ectophial][/hide] I had to use a yew shortbow on Ahrim, but it was pretty easy. [hide=Ranging Ahrim][/hide] With no teleport out, I had to run through armies of skeletons with only monk robe armor and barely made it out alive. No barrows drop even after 3 hours of work. [hide=That was a close one][/hide] Here is my final loot from the challenge and my first time in a bank after 3 hours of playing. [hide=Finished][/hide] Thanks for the challenge!
  4. Almost done with the barrows challenge, but I will have to finish in the morning. Luck plays a large part in the speed of a trip. I may have to retry this challenge because of my really bad luck getting ranarr drops.
  5. In response to TheLeonardo: Zamorak warriors in the chaos tunnels are pretty easy to kill and drop rune scimitars and rune daggers very often. You can make up to 200k in an hour from alching the drops, but with scavenged equipment the rate would be lower than that.
  6. Nice work everyone. I am planning the barrows challenge at the moment, so hopefully I will have it done by this afternoon.
  7. Although the challenges don't directly require skills, only those with higher skill levels can accomplish the more challenging tasks. For example, to fight a mithril dragon, one might need mithril or addy bolts, requiring that player to utilize mining, smithing, and fletching skills. In addition, antifire potions require level 69 herblore. Unless a player has balanced skills, the harder challenges might be a lot more difficult. Sure, a pure skiller would have a hard time doing these combat challenges, but I still think that the challenges employ much more than just combat skills.
  8. Definitely going to try barrows and mith dragon challenge at some point. I like the idea, and I think team trials would be fun too.
  9. I'm still trying to figure out a single use (not looks) for the most expensive and most coveted items in the game.
  10. The only time ever that a sandwich lady has even been of the smallest help.
  11. Anyone even understand what is being said there? Edit: There's also an entertaining topic saying that goblins should be level 126 and drop rune/dragon weapons and armor, but I'm not sure where that went. I think he is asking for free full dragon in his native Swahili tongue, but it could be ancient Inuit language also. Not quite sure about which one exactly.
  12. Good luck man. I also have a goal with my new account, Uberslayer21, to get the untrimmed slayer cape.
  13. Master Smither (Runescapew44) on the forums and on tipitchat don't know if he looks in off topic though
  14. I am pretty sure that no numbers exist at the moment to describe the average runescaper's IQ. I also think that this Jadex business likes the extra popularity but not the calls from the idiots.
  15. Here is the new strategy for making a good thread. Put jokes in it so people who don't read your post bump it a lot, and then everyone makes fun of those people and bump your thread. Also, people like me observe this and bump your thread again. I will remember this whenever I want to make a popular thread, thanks everyone for this revelation.
