Buying a netbook battery

14 January 2010 - 01:44 AM

I recently got a netbook, an ideapad s10e, it has a decent battery life with its 3-cell battery, but i would like more.  I went to the lenovo site and found a compatible battery then i did a google search and found apparently the same battery for about half the price

My question is, would i be getting scammed if i got this cheaper battery or would i be in the clear getting it?

Clarification on headset

30 July 2009 - 03:12 AM

I am thinking about getting this headset that nadril recommended, but it says it uses a 3mm connection. My laptop only has mic in and audio out [standard ports](?), do i have to buy a seperate connector or something or am i just [cabaging] myself and it comes with a usb connector?

Edit: Scratch that, after reading the reviews i'm even more confused.

So this connector from the headset

Will hook into this port on my computer(which i thought only worked with regular headphones)

And i will be able to use both the headphone part and the microphone part, while they're still connected to each other?

Editx2: Is the difference between this headset and the other one negligible or would it be worth it to get the newest generation?

Laptop battery

14 July 2009 - 02:11 AM

If I turn all the settings on my laptop down then i can just get three hours of battery life. I'd like more and have heard of 12 cell batteries.

-How do I know which battery to get?(laptop is an asus X83VB and has a 6-cell battery)

-Were do I buy the battery?(best buy, asus website, battery store?)

-Will a battery with more cells(???) actually increase my battery life by very much?

Wolfram|Alpha

16 May 2009 - 04:09 PM

Wolfram|alpha is an answer query engine that aims at computizing all the information in the world.

Some examples of what it does are:

-search "steven" and it will give you the popularity of the name(percent), fraction of worlds population with name, and number of people born per year with that name, graph of history of use of that name and tons and tons of more info

-5+5, you get 10, ten and visual representation

-tons more

PS the search engine is slow due to extreme load
