    uhhhh rs i think
  1. i actually think the level cap is a good idea for f2p. i think the level cap would be good at 70, though 80 might be good too. now before you flame me, read my reasons why. a. by the time someone who is f2p reaches that level, they become somewhat "proud" of being f2p, and you start to the the f2p for life develop around them. if they can't develop any more, that would give them incentive to become member, just to improve more. that means jagex gets more customers. b. hardly anybody in f2p reaches that high anyway, and low leveled people with high goals will see that only members can get as high as they want, and they will become members as well. of course, what will happen to the people already over the cap? i think if jagex actually did this, they would either, a. let them continue improving the skills already over the cap, while anything else gets stopped at the cap. b. stop letting them grow anything at or beyond the cap c.(most unlikely) give them membership for playing them game so long and because it would be too hard to make them exceptions to the cap.
  2. Every Saturday until Jagex does something: 3pm EST, world 62, 2nd floor of Varrock Church! Read his first post, that should clear up any questions you should have. You definitely have the p2p "You don't pay" mentality. To be honest not everyone wants to or can pay every month to be a member. Ever think of that?! I know it's not asking much to pay the small $5 monthly fee. A lot of f2p'ers though are casual players who like playing the game but don't play it enough to justify paying the fee. Some people might also want to build up their skills to high levels in f2p before they make the switch to members, but how can they if they can't store a freaking thing? Also, little kids have to convince their parents to pay for it, and if they don't, they are SOL. Also think about the members who quit p2p, and have banks filled with stuff that make it almost useless. It's at least these few reasons, plus many more, that Jagex and members with attitudes such as yourself, should think about. What you guys also don't understand is that there is NOT enough room to store all we need. I've destroyed all my holiday items to give to Diango to store and don't even have every full random event costume. I still don't have enough to store all the essentials that I need. I need places to store full rune, two weapons, full dragonhide, bow and arrows, mage robes, two staffs, about 8 types of runes, and mining, fishing, crafting, smithing, cooking, and runecrafting gear, ALL on top of about 12 different pieces of random event clothes that I don't want to throw away. Sure, I could just re-buy all those things every time I want to use them, but it's a pain to walk all the way to the opposite side of the map to get one item that I could have just stored. Don't tell me "Well just teleport, duh!" because I can't store the freaking runes to do so! We have to have some room to have an enjoyable time, and if people quit, Jagex loses potential member costumers. I mean what is so bad about having 12 extra spaces? Jagex would give members at least that and much more. It's really not too big of a problem to implement. I mean they should make enough money off ads to pay for that little amount of space. It's not worse than giving members a couple more rows, which you know you'd get if f2p received more as well. In addition, do you really think that the Runescape economy would be profitable as it is now if it didn't have f2p along with it? Yes, I know f2p has tons of bots and gold-farmers, but that's besides the point. You know [censor] well that f2p helps keep prices low! We supply tons of supplies that members can't afford to spend the time that they pay for, just cutting trees, unless you happen to be and enjoy being a skiller. Besides, we have had enough of the same arguments, and we (well mostly just Prankster_King) usually just shoot them down. If you want to flame this post, do it here: The Anti-More F2P Bankspace Thread. That's what it's for. ÃÆýÃâñÃÆâÃâ¹Ã¢â¬Â ÃâéÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâÃÂ¥wÃÆýÃâñÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâÃÂ¥, ÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâéÃÆýÃâñÃÆâÃâ¹Ã¢â¬Â Ãâé'ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâàwÃÆýÃâñÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâáÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâàÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâõÃÆâÃâ¹Ã¢â¬Â ÃâéÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâàÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâáÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâàÃÆââââ¬Ã¢ÃâëÃÆýÃâõ ÃÆâÃâ¹Ã¢â¬Â ÃâéÃÆýÃâõxÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâàÃÆýâââ¬ÃâÃÆýÃâñÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâãÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâãÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâÃÂ¥ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâü \ EDIT: I added a little extra and changed a few things. look, i can understand not wanting to pay the fee for members, but not being able to afford it is bullcrap. even 13 year olds can afford the $8 dollars a month for pay pal, since they can't use a credit card. mow some lawns. lawns need to be mowed every week, and most people will pay $5 if they have a lawn that takes 20-40 minutes to mow. so one and a half hours of work is all it takes a month to pay for members. i can easily get that in between 3 hours of runescape, homework, chores, and a 10 o clock bedtime, so not being able to afford it is no excuse. and think of it this way, if you don't want to pay the fee, you're basically saying "i don't want to pay but i deserve to get the same stuff people who do pay get." and, did you ever think that members don't have enough bank space either? we have way more skills, which take up a lot more space, plus we have to have different armors for pking and boss monsters and slayer. we can't use pking armor, which is rune and dragon legs and helm, plus a whip or dragon weapon for boss monsters, and it's ineffective for slayer. the KQ requires verac's armor for melee, otherwise you have to bring two sets of equipment in addition to consumables food and potions. and you definately can't use verac's for barrows, unless you spend 200k for a stock of prayer pots, verac's is ineffective at barrows you have to use magic armor and ranging armor for karil. for slayer, you can't use consumables unless it's cannonballs because of the mass amount of assignments you need for good xp. and you certainly can't take magic and range armor unless you safe spot, which isn't an option for most tasks. so there's 6 sets of armor you need, plus the room for 17 skills, money, random event clothes, quest items, food, all of that leads to about 1.5 times the size bank we have now. so in all reality, we are both in need of bank space, yet all members want is a better bank, i. e. easier to organize things. we manage our space so we don't run out of room. i did that in f2p, and never had a problem with bank space. now, don't get me wrong, i support this idea for more f2p bank space, but the only reason you guys don't have enough space is because you aren't managing your space well enough and won't get rid of things you don't use. do you really use all the random event clothes in a week, or even a month? if i haven't used something in 3 weeks i chuck it unless it has some worth in the market. i never used my ledarhosen and mime mask, so i chucked them. if you don't use a certain set of random event clothes, chuck them. they don't impress anybody sitting in your bank, and they impress very few on your back.
  3. Ok, do me a favor, go to http://www.google.com and search something and look for a message that pops up and says, Sorry! You must be a google subscriber to see this search. Or a big red flashing button that says, subscribe to google here and you get faster searches, new ways to search and the rights to be a complete [wagon] to every person who doesn't pay for this service! Google makes all of its profits by advertising. So, I guess by your flawed and narrow minded logic, Google must make close to pennies for profits. There is your proof. Oh, what are you talking about Master_Smither, of course Jagex would want to get rid of over 9 million players. I mean, it is only logical to dump 9 million players for one million subscribers. There are 9 million F2P players. One million members. [hide=Notes]Blue text = sarcasm[/hide] actually, runescape doesn't make as much money off of advertising as you think. the reason google makes so much off of it is a. they advertise on over 100000 websites, maybe even 500000. b. google is the middleman of advertising. companies pay them a lot of money for them to generate an ad for the company and place it on a website, then google pays a small sum for the room to place an ad. if you take out google, then you have companies paying small amounts of money for the ad space, and paying for the few clicks they get. so in all reality, google is making the most from the advertisements, while the websites themselves make very little, depending on how many stupid people click on the ads. the ads google makes don't have spyware, but most links it has give your computer spyware. i could go on to explain how this led to sites paying for you to click on ads, but i've rambled on enough i think.
  4. maybe the rest Dont know how to vote lol actually, it's either, a. they don't take the time to read the poll topic or updates so they didn't know there was a poll for them b. they don't even know there are polls(don't flame me for saying they're stupid, many members don't know either, it's more ignorance or lack of curiosity) c. what you said, kinda hard to believe that even the miniclipers wouldn't know how though(note: not a stereotype, it's a fact that some scapers play from miniclip, some of them became members too)
  5. id wish... that people didnt underestimate the power of perseverance  that's funny, i was kinda wondering that myself. my wish? that i will finally get a whip. most i've ever gotten to it is halfway.... :wall: :wall: :wall:
  6. besides the tail fin, that's actually how real dolphins look. good job on the picture so far, the shading is realistic, except for the middle part. like i said, looks pretty much like a real dolphin should loook.
  7. the only time i ever rc pked a level 75 attacked me with nothing on, not even a weapon, and no food. needless to say, i whipped out a ddp++ and speced him, got two 15-15 hits which is my max with the dragon dagger, and he died. before he respawned he proceeded to calling me a noob. yeah.
  8. why would we sue china when Runescape Servers arent even set up in china. at least from what i've seen this has already been pointed out multiple times, but it has nothing to do with runescape servers in china.
  9. errr, the d wc axe is worth 1million more street price than the whip, so how is it a bad thing?
  10. It is in the multi-millions. I'd say 6million autoers out there. Gj jagex, we may hear about it tomorrow. =p Isnt there like only 1mill members? i believe there are about 1.2million members now, seeing as how the latest growth rate of members is large and the 1 million members announcement was quite a while ago.
  11. i went there early about a month ago, and she did that. i thought it was a standing feature so i didn't bother with a picture.
  12. If you can't take negative feedback, don't post here, or get better. -.- Good luck I guess... well, i meant that i accepted the negative feedback, but something like "i almost vomitted" is taking it a little far.
  13. it's really too bad for the seller side... i've always been on the seller side of the spectrum, and i'm dissappointed at how low the prices are for some things. like yews. they take almost as long to cut as magics, yet they are in the mere 200s until a few months ago. and sharks, requiring level 76 fishing, were obtainable at 700gp ea, even though they should be at at least 1.5k ea, just because the demand for them is so high and such a high level is needed.
  14. that is one of the most rascist things i have ever heard that didn't have a cuss word in it. besides, in china, you don't have to pay them barely anything, like i said the chinese laborers earn the equivalent of 5 us dollars a year, besides they are forced to live somewhere and the cost of their "rent" is deducted from their pay. mexicans, however, take advantage of the soft hearted idiots in america by demanding at least minimum wage, and the government won't stop it even though they are most likely illegal immigrants. sorry if that sounded rascist, which i don't think it did, but it's the truth. at least, for those people who ship the money they make back to mexico to support their families.
  15. i highly doubt that they would use them, the preferred weapons are fast but high strength, and none of those have that. i think some of them would use claws, and the people who use 2hers might use hallies, but spears would just go overlooked. besides, the only way they would have access to them is through members, and we've all seen what happens when items go through members to f2pers. prices skyrocket, and that will make these weapons impractical. i see no problem with giving the weapons to them, but it will be something they don't like, and i fear they won't be grateful.
