  1. It looks like it is a first come, first served system. Since completing my order of 1000 legs I started a new order just to see if I would get any more, but none so far. Someone else will be getting them.
  2. I've found another moneymaking item: Pineapples. 1. Go to Catherby and talk to Arhein (the general store guy outside the bank). 2. Ask to buy pineapples and he will tell you that he has 40 in stock for 2gp each. Buy them all and put them in the bank. 3. You can only buy 40 each day, but if you get into the habit of buying them whenever you're near Catherby you will soon have a nice stack of them in your bank. 4. Sell them on the Grand Exchange for 348gp each. Buy pineapples for 2gp, sell for 348gp, profit per pineapple = 346gp While this is only 13k profit per day it requires very little work and will quickly add up if you do it regularly. I only had 177 pineapples in my bank, but I put them on the Grand Exchange a few hours ago and logged off. I just logged back on a few minutes ago and they have all sold for a total of 61,596gp. I wasn't expecting to get any buyers , nevermind sell them all and so quick :D
  3. I've bought and sold 999 Giant Frog Legs from the Grand Exchange in the last week, so it has worked for me, but I can see it being harder to buy now as there are probably a few more buyers ;) I will try and find some other items, but I doubt any will be as good as this one has been (895gp profit per item * 999 = 894105gp profit so far). If anyone has suggestions I will add them to the guide.
  4. I just did a quick test to get a more accurate idea of how long it takes to sell the Giant Frog Legs. I had did 7 trips from the bank in the Grand Tree to Hudo just north of the bank, this was not a particularly fast run and if you concentrated you could do it much faster: Total time for 7 trips = 315 seconds Average time per trip = 315/7 = 45 seconds Average time per legs sold = 45/28 = 1.6 seconds Legs sold per hour = (3600/45)*28 = 2240 Profit per hour* = 2240k - (2240*105gp) = 2,004,600gp (2mil) *Assuming you have the Giant Frog Legs sitting in your bank. Does not include the time taken to buy them or to travel to The Grand Tree, just the time taken to sell them once you are at The Grand Tree. I'll add this to the guide a bit later (in a rush at the moment).
  5. I mentioned earlier that you can buy Grey Wolf Fur for 82-92gp and sell for 120gp to Baraek the fur trader, but I've heard he will pay more if you have a ring of charos(a). I haven't done the quest to get the Ring of Charos(a) yet, so can't confirm how much he will pay and whether it applies to Grey Wold Fur, perhaps someone else can check? It might actually be a good item to buy and sell and is much easier to aquire than the frogs legs. If anyone has some suggestions for f2p then I'll add them to the guide, but I pesonally can't think of much other than the Grey Wolf Fur (I've only recently got back into runescape after taking over a year off, so i'm still catching up with most things). Edit: Also, has anyone actually been able to buy Giant Frog Legs from the GE yet? My initial order of 1000 is almost complete (959/1000), I'd like to know if others have been able to buy them at the same time as me.
  6. You sell 28 at a time, and you can probably do about 3 trips per minute. 28 x 3 = 84 per minute It really is quick to sell, I wait until I've got 100-200 and then it takes about 5 mins to get to Grand Tree, sell them, and then come back. using a more conservative estimate [2 trips a monute] that's about 895k every 18 minutes - that's pretty damn awesome! someone please correct me if i'm wrong 'cause that does seem like alot to me. Assuming you've actually got 895 Giant Frog Legs then I think 18mins is about right. The hard bit is getting the Frog Legs (not many sellers).
  7. If you just invested 10.5k it would get you 100 Giant Frog Legs which could be sold for 100k. If you have trouble buying them then you can get your money back, so there's no risk (unless Jagex suddenly reduces the price Hudo will buy for).
  8. You sell 28 at a time, and you can probably do about 3 trips per minute. 28 x 3 = 84 per minute It really is quick to sell, I wait until I've got 100-200 and then it takes about 5 mins to get to Grand Tree, sell them, and then come back.
  9. I checked the price of Gold Seals as I had a few in my bank, but the GE price was the same as selling to the NPC, so I assume it is the same for all pyramid plunder items.
  10. I've added another picture to my first post, to show Hudo buying the Giant Frog Legs and to give an idea of where he is in the Grand Tree. I'd be interested to know if anyone has been able to buy an Giant Frog Legs from the Grand Exchange yet? I have still been receiving them at about the same rate (742 so far) and was just wondering if they are randomly distributed between buyers or whether it is a first come - first served system and my whole order will be filled before any others? Also, does anyone know of other items that can be sold to NPC's? There is Grey Wolf Fur that can be bought on the exchange for 82-92gp and sold for 120gp to the fur trader in Varrock, but that is more hassle than it's worth and it takes longer to sell to the NPC than Giant Frog Legs.
  11. This method has worked very well for me since the Grand Exchange was introduced, but I expect it will become less profitable as people read this and learn of the method. Intro I have discovered an item that can make lots of profit from the Grand Exchange. That item has not changed in price since the GE was introduced and I have continued to make a steady, but significant profit off that item. I was tempted to keep this a secret, but I have a made 500k gp so far and a lot of my enjoyment from runescape comes form earning money, so I think if I kept doing this it would make the game less fun. I think that if lots of people follow this guide then it may become quite useless (as Jagex will change the prices, or the item becomes harder to obtain), but I'll reveal it anyway and maybe some will get a good profit from it. The Guide: There are no skills required, just some starting cash and you must be in a P2P world. 1. Visit the Grand Exchange in Varrock. Withdraw 105k from the banker (you can use more or less if you like, but 105K will get you 1000 items). And then open up the Grand Exchange interface. 2. The item you want to buy is 'Giant Frogs Legs', so search for that item. The price is 95-105gp, buy 1000 @ 105gp. 3. Now you will have to wait for people to sell Giant Frogs Legs in the Grand Exchange. It's not the most popular item, so it will take atleast a few days to buy all 1000 but you should get about 100 a day (I have got 535 in 4 days). 4. You can withdraw some of your Giant Frog Legs at any time, you don't have to wait for all 1000 to be bought. Once you have withdrawn some go to The Grand Tree (Use the Spirit Tree if you are at the Grand Exchange). 5. To the North-West of the first floor of the Grand Tree is Hudo and he will buy your Giant Frog Legs for 1000gp each. He is just north of the banks, so it is very quick to withdraw 28 at a time and sell them to him (he won't buy them noted). Summary Buy 1000 Giant Frog Legs for 105gp each = 105,000gp Sell 1000 Giant Frog Legs for 1000gp each - 1,000,000gp Profit per 1000 Giant Frog Legs = 895,000gp This is completely risk-free. If after a while you still haven't been able to buy many Giant Frog Legs then you can just cancel the order at the Grand Exchange and get your money back. Any you do buy will give you 895gp profit each. Update: I just did a quick test to get a more accurate idea of how long it takes to sell the Giant Frog Legs. I had did 7 trips from the bank in the Grand Tree to Hudo just north of the bank, this was not a particularly fast run and if you concentrated you could do it much faster: Total time for 7 trips (7*28 = 196 Giant Frog Legs) = 315 seconds Average time per trip = 315/7 = 45 seconds Average time per legs sold = 45/28 = 1.6 seconds Legs sold per hour = (3600/45)*28 = 2240 Profit per hour* = 2240k - (2240*105gp) = 2,004,600gp (2mil) *Assuming you have the Giant Frog Legs sitting in your bank. Does not include the time taken to buy them or to travel to The Grand Tree, just the time taken to sell them once you are at The Grand Tree. Other Items Pineapples. 1. I hope this helps some people, all feedback is welcome.
  12. I gave this a quick try yesterday and did 5 clues. I was surprised at both how easy it is to get clues and also how quick it is to actually do the clues. It didn't take much more than an hout to find and do all 5 clues, this is what I got from each one: 1. Green Firelighter x4 Black Longsword 2. Coif Willow Longbow 3. Amulet of Magic Mind Rune x43 4. Black Dagger Black Battleaxe Fire Rune x47 5. Amulet of Magic(t) Trout x6 Body Rune x35 Zamorak page 2 The first four weren't very encouraging, but the fifth one made up for it and is worth about 300k (according to GE). Thx for the guide, it was something I already knew about but had never tried. I'll continue do lvl1 clues between skilling. Edit: Also, I didn't wear any HAM robes. The first two clues only took literally about a minute to thieve so HAM wouldn't have made any difference, the other three took a bit longer and I was sent to jail/outside a couple of times but I'm short on bank space and rather get caught occasionally than carry around a whole set of HAM.
  13. I've only recently got back into Runescape after about a year and a half away from it and the one thing I thoguht would be good was an Auction House so I'm very happy to hear there is one coming this month :) I think the big reason why this won't hurt merchanting is because when you sell an item it will be visible to everyone on every server. It should also offer the possibility of spotting bargains and then reselling them for a profit.
  14. I've just got back into runescape after a couple of years away (so not done construction yet) and I think this guide will be very useful for me to get to lvl60 :D Thanks
