RuneScape Information

  1. @ first article:  Okay, that was witty. Jagex's position on fair gameplay has grown soft over the last few years. I noticed this, too, awhile back. Morals can change quickly when you insert money into the equation.
  2. GoT was nominated for 13 Emmys, and everybody seems to think the same as I do: Peter Dinklage deserves to win. I said I was excited to see how they portrayed Tyrion, and I was not disappointed. Has anybody started reading A Dance with Dragons yet? It will be a while before I can get around to it. If Martin can make us wait five years, then he can wait on me for a few months.
  3. My response was about the article, but since you take it personally I'll make my final ones about my perception of you. Your immature comments are indicative of the problems that apparently still persist on the Times staff. In fact, they seem to be getting worse. I'll take care to avoid reading anymore articles from you. Thank you.
  4. Here's a quote from another Times article: That quote came from an article almost six years ago, from the second Times article written. The Times has always been an editorial piece. @Crocefisso: Comparing an update to the stench of fecal matter will not spark a thought-provoking discussion. Your readers will find it difficult to take you seriously when you choose vulgar metaphors to express your contempt. How can your readers--even someone like me who may share similar opinions--view this as anything other than a rage rant. Personally, I'm not thrilled about the update either. I think most people see right through it, but it's not like Jagex is being sneaky when they call it a loyalty program. As of now, I see it mostly as a junk update, unnecessary to the game other than for pure promotional. However, I feel the article didn't provide enough evidence to back up its tone. Other promo events like Bonus XP weekends have a far greater impact on the game than MLP. You think MLP will bring rivers of blood? Were you not around when the anti-RWT updates were implemented? You also failed to convince me that MLP has a detrimental effect on F2P. MLP doesn't force people into membership any more than Gnomecopters. Yes, Jagex would like F2P players to eventually become members. I can't fault them for it. Some people may purchase membership for MLP, but hopefully they will stay for the same reasons I became a member. For the game itself.
  5. Looks less like Runescape. Looking more like Zynga every day.
  6. [spoiler=They should cast me to play...]Patchface
  7. Wow that's a tough question. For me, I've always loved Tyrion, and Dinklage played him very well (despite Tyrion in the books looking much uglier). I'll be upset if he doesn't win some awards. Khal Drogo was fantastic. After watching him, I'm now considering watching Conan The Barbarian this summer. As far as Littlefinger, I liked how the series added in the scenes with him and the Spider. It showed how they are both very cunning and untrustworthy. I'm also looking forward to next season, where Tyrion is forced to match wits with these two. I said it before and I'll say it again, they did an EXCELLENT job on casting for the show. I can't wait to see who they pick for Stannis next season.
  8. I love Tyrion and Bronn! Great season finale. Some of the finest TV I've ever watched, based off of one of the finest books I've ever read. I feel some serious GoT withdrawals coming on over the next year.
  9. Great interview with the producers about upcoming Season 2. If you haven't yet read Clash of Kings, beware that there may be some spoilers. As 'Game of Thrones' nears its finale, show runners David Benioff and Dan Weiss talk about Season 2 - latimes
  10. [hide=Spoiler for Ep. 9] RIP Ned Stark, you old fool. http://www.buzzfeed.com/donnad/introducing-stupid-ned-stark [/hide]
  11. I'm interested to see how the human conflicts and supernatural conflicts blend later in the series. Would the nobles still be trying to screw each other into the ground when there are zombies (Or worse) killing all their people? There are some supernatural elements, but the story still stays centered around the characters. I really have to force myself from blurting out what happens later and ruining the story. Keep watching. You won't be disappointed. Just shocked.
  12. Syrio. Syrio's fight was just as I had imagined it. They did a great job with him. I heard that George RR Martin wrote the script for this episode. If so, then that might explain the badassness. [hide="spoilers]I enjoyed the fight with Khal Drogo as well. It's been awhile since I've read the book, but was that accurate? I thought the Khal took an arrow in a fight (even though he won). I'm probably mistaken, but in any case it shouldn't matter. The outcome is the same.[/hide]
  13. Thoughts on Episode 7 [hide=Spoilers]This series just keeps getting better. It diligently follows the book, so I know exactly what to expect, and it's still such a surprise when I see it. Please don't keep reading this if you haven't watched the episode! The scene with Ned and Cersei was brilliant. "When you play the game of thrones, you win or die." Cersei is such a smart woman, and Ned's honor finally betrays him. And once again kudos to the casting of Tyron Lannister! He immediately played such a towering figure, and the great Jamie Lannister looked so small standing next to him. Oh, and Khal Drogo's speech gave me chills. I do have one gripe. The sex scene with the prostitutes and Littlefinger, while it revealed Littlefinger's character (portrayed brilliantly by the actor), may have been a little over the top. HBO has created such a great series, they don't need to risk alienating a portion of their audience. Leave that kind of overcompensating for shows like Sparticus. HBO really doesn't have any good excuses for that scene either, especially since it wasn't in the book. Other than that, wonderful episode, and I can't wait till next week.[/hide]
  14. Tyrion was one of my favorite characters in the first book, and I was really interested in seeing how he would be portrayed. The actor that plays him has done a FANTASTIC job. He's extremely clever and manipulative. I hope this doesn't come off the wrong way, but this is the most complex and serious character I've ever seen from a dwarf. It breaks the mold of snow white, oompa-loompas, and mini-me. I hope we can see more characters like him in the future.
  15. Last night was the best episode yet. [hide=Spoilers]Tyrion is fantastically clever, and he is only going to get more interesting in the next few episodes. I was happy to see Viserys get the crown that was coming to him. They did that scene very well.[/hide]
