still interesting to study. Setting the foundations for investigating Finite-State systems I believe, I think it should get quite a bit more interesting next semester.
If you enjoy programming, and computer-theory in general, it's definitely worth looking into, you'd probably quite enjoy it! :)

FP is pretty cool, it's a different paradigm to your usual Object-Oriented languages, so makes you think differently about developing software. We're currently looking at Haskell which, although nice, I can't see having too many applications outside of Uni' - it's good for theory though.
Logic's quite interesting too, it's your basic logical-theory, but is...

It's very interesting actually - to some degree, haha.
In the first year, things tend to be fairly mundane, nothing particularly captivating - but presumably that's needed to set the rest of the course up. In the first year for example, we've currently got Logic and Functional Programming.
