Be VERY careful using these new spirit gems when training summoning. If what I am seeing is correct, you get NO xp for any of the uncharged pouches that you charge at a summoning obelisk. I'm not sure if it's isolated to the dragonstone or if it applies to all of them.

I just got a spirit dragonstone from SoF. It holds the same 20 pouches as diamond but has 400 charges. I'm still trying to decide if I like that it has that many more charges or if I would have preferred a higher capacity for something like 200 charges....

With the new Duel Arena update, the location of the clue scroll coordinate is now in the side with NO obstacles. It's about in the middle, but with no obstacles there aren't any landmarks to reference.

I just noticed that the captain's log will now teleport you to the PoP portal. When did this happen? I wish I had seen it earlier. It sure beats running from the cabbage patch!

The quest guide suggests killing the defilers as soon as they show up to preserve your archers. What I did instead was to attack them so they attacked me and not the archers. This allowed me to focus entirely on the pest queen instead of trying to also worry about the defilers spawning again. Made for a much shorter and more manageable final battle. I have 92 defense so I'm not sure if that allowed me to make this work, but I also wasn't using a familiar to have any extra food to use. Maybe just add this as an alternate method? Niccosdad

Anybody know how the xp rewards for a voyage work? I don't get xp lamps or anything like that. Does the xp get awarded to the crewmembers as a bonus to the regular xp they get? I've decided to try and avoid these until I can at least understand what they're really about.... :?

What is the collective wisdom on replacing tier 2 crewmembers with tier 3 crewmembers if the tier 2 crewmember already has stats in excess of 500? (I have one that is already at 520.) I'm thinking that though there might be a short term loss, as they progress, the tier 3 crew will quickly have higher stats because of the higher base stat level. Therefore, switching to tier 3 crew makes sense. Does that logic make sense?

I don't honestly recall whether the "Shiver me timbers!" was on the scroll itself or came in after you got to Brimmy and searched the drawers. The guide seems to imply that it was on the clue scroll. I just got the clue "Search the upstairs drawers of a house in a village where pirates are known to have a good time." To complete the clue I needed to do exactly what is now on the guide as what to do if the clue is "Shiver me timbers!" I suppose there could be two clues that require you to do exactly the same thing. I just thought it was more likely that Jagex changed the clue to make it a little more comprehensible considering it's only a medium. Niccosdad

Be VERY careful about allowing the quartermaster to search your bank as well as your inventory. You might think, like I did, that if you take what you made to complete the challenge and have in it your backpack, that the quartermaster would take these to show you completed the challenge. Quite the opposite. Your bank will be searched first and only after there is nothing of the type needed is left in your bank will your inventory get used. In my case I had to smith addy equipment. So I was left with addy daggers and lost platebodies, platelegs, 2h sword, full helmets and such out of my bank. This also explains why if you cannot get your reward if you have a full inventory (I had yew logs). Since the quartermaster is searching your bank first, no space will ever get cleared out of your inventory for the reward to take. My advice is to NOT choose the last option which allows the quartermaster to search your bank and never ask the question again. You never know what you might lose if you do that.

I took a many months break about the time the loyalty program started. Now that I have recently started playing again, I finally noticed that I have a fair amount of points now (127k). Since I haven't paid any attention to this at all, I was hoping I could count on you folks to help me spend these points wisely. Looking through what is available I was thinking I could get supreme poison purge and one of the three prayer auras (supreme corruption, supreme harmony and supreme salvation). If I do this, is there any difference among the three prayer auras? The descriptions are all the same so I assume the differences are purely cosmetic. Or perhaps there is a different aura that would be a wiser use of my points? Your collective wisdom is greatly appreciated. Niccosdad

With the new Runespan guide I did not see that the Shattered Heart guide was updated to note that strange rocks will appear in your inventory while siphoning in Runespan. It's a great way to get RC strange rocks if you need them. Niccosdad

I've noticed what I believe is a new structure on the south side of the place where the black demons are on the way to Bork in the chaos tunnels. Has this been there all along and I've just missed it until recently? I haven't tried clicking on it yet (it is labelled as "Mysterious Entrance") so I can't give any more information than that I've seen it there. Any speculation or insight as to what this is all about? Niccosdad
