RuneScape Information

  1. There are plenty of legitimate Historians out there, like those that run the museums and such. Problem is, no one remembers them because they're not as fashionable as the ones that have some shady ulterior motive ;) Who said Zamorak was ever human? various rs history articles??? Zamorak was NEVER human. He was a Mahjarrat who came to Gielinor along with all the other Mahjarrats fromp Frenneskae. I thought he was a human commander of Zaros' army, I think one of the ghosts of the shade robes miniquest tells this. The ghostly robes miniquest never makes Zamorak out as a human. Zaros's generals before his demise were all Mahjarrat who flocked to him from the desert gods (Icthlarin specifically I believe) until his betrayal by Zamorak, which caused a split between factions who supported Zaros and those that supported Zamorak's bid for power, which has solidified only further with the passage of time. Humans were commanded by Zamorak in Zaros's army, but he was never one unless he was using his shapeshifting ability to hide his true form. He was a Mahjarrat always (as far as we know). Just look at the login screen, it shows Zamorak and Saradomin and Zamorak's form is that of a humanoid warlord WITH A SKELETAL FACE. Hardly coincidental.
  2. Darn it! I thought I had discovered something big then I read this. #-o I just completed the quest and this makes so much sense, [hide=Continued Spoiler]the NPC walks with the same kind of hunched stride that Jhallan does. Did anyone else notice that?[/hide]
  3. I am trying different methods of slaying different monsters, to cut down on the amount of money I spend on food. How efficient would bringing Guthans be to a warped terrorbird task? My att is 85, str 86 and def 84, hp 86, will only be using melee. I apologize in advance for not being as savvy as I probably ought to be at my level.
  4. I want all skills 70+, because that sounds so much cooler than 65+.... Also thinking of training up firemaking and trying to earn an Inferno Adze.
  5. I get the feeling that Jagex will be building up to a crescendo with another large quest to continue the story of While Guthix Sleeps soon enough. It would be fitting to make another Grandmaster Quest at 300 Quest Points perhaps? Also there's the new dwarf quest coming out which if it's as long as the previous one should be fairly decent, aye?
  6. Imo I think it's a stigma people get when they first start the game. Melee combat is much more complex to grasp at first when you're starting out than ranged or magic, because melee combat involves training three separate skills, whereas ranged and magic are largely associated with the one skill attributed to the combat type which bears its name. So when everything is newer to you melee seems much bigger than ranged or mage. And in the f2p game melee is far easier to be good at at lower levels than magic and ranged.
  7. I await the day the populus becomes enlightened enough to believe that while stats are important, they should come secondary to a player skilled in the art of combat, not just with a certain level in a certain subsection of a certain part of the combat triangle. I cannot believe that I am alone in this wish either. /=
  8. If you have completed the Karamja Diary 3, you can always use the secret gem mine. It's NEVER hard to find an empty one, and you can bring a chisel to theoretically mine there forever, or make bolts of the lesser gems and bank rarer gems like diamond and ruby if you want. Not sure it's the absolute fastest way, but you bank much less than you normally would, and the time spent chiselling the gems allows time for rock respawns.
  9. Jagex exists as a capitalist enterprise. Imposing any kind of restriction on them like that to limit playing time is ridiculous. I've spent over a hundred dollars on my membership by now, and I'll be damned if I'm ever told that I've played too much and that they refuse to let me play. I would unsubscribe in a heartbeat, and I can assure you I'm not alone. It would be the most upsetting thing to their player base since the removal of the old Wilderness, and cost them much more money in the long run.
  10. What methods do people use for quickly obtaining the points necessary for a slayer helm?
  11. Due to restrictions and the effects of the knights' attacks draining your melee stats, you want several of some kind of restore pot, probably a superset as well. I would recommend bringing sharks, provided you can afford them. The big deal with this fight is knowing what style of attack each knight is weak against and knowing which of your melee stats (attack, strength or defence) they will be draining so you can pot effectively against them. ALWAYS keep an eye on your stats in this fight or you will waste food and probably have to begin again. As for weapons and armor, bring whatever is your best melee setup. I did it with Torags body and legs. Dragon med is better than Neitz because you won't be praying. No familiars allowed either. Did I miss anything?
  12. I would suggest cooking pies since you won't be able to wear Cooking Gauntlets. Unfortunately, I have no clue what pies would make good xp. A (relatively) risk free alternative could be making anchovy pizzas near the rogues' general store if you bring a small net.
  13. The bank space I would definitely support. More generally, I have to wonder why Jagex honestly needs such a restriction at all. I mean, I can see maybe people hoarding to much and bogging down the server, but maybe you could introduce a system that gives bank space for experience? so players with a large amount of playing time and investment in their skills, who naturally require more bank space could have it, instead of having to organize, constantly manage, or periodically sell the contents of one's bank.
  14. Other than trial and error and banging your head on the keyboard, I would imagine hard work. That's why I have the utmost respect for the people that actually go out and figure this stuff out.
  15. Essence was never meant to be separated into Regular and Pure versions. It's high time it was switched back the way it was. I don't believe that the game should be sacrificed for economic stability, so any arguments in that direction become irrelevant. People can, have, and will deal.
