I always had to binge study. I can't just study for an hour at a time. I have to do like 8 hours in 1 day and stay up to like 3 am to get anything done

Exact opposite problem. Unless a deadline is looming and I have an actual assignment to do I find it hard to force myself to study for more than 40ish minutes before procrastinating for at least an hour. I think my biggest issue is just dry and boring material that I have to try and slog through. Anything interesting however, I'll study that no problem.

My problem might resolve itself though as I have much more interesting classes next semester and right now I don't think I can fail any courses unless I forget everything I already have memorized.

I think I got selected for a 6 week trial but I ain't mad because I get my full salary,

Does your work pay that, or the government?
I think both because I believe last time he posted he was working for the government.

College is fun! Especially when you make smart life choices, such as knowing you have a test on Monday and spending all weekend until supper time Sunday playing video games.

I bought a trackball mouse the other day off of amazon to try out since I have less desk space now. Just received it today and I can say it is really nice and there wasn't that much of a learning curve getting used to it. Also nice is that it is designed ergonomically so it just feels much nicer in my hand.

It can suck by times doing stuff like training with less than ideal kit or missing out on training due to lack of funding. However I'd say overall that we do well with what we have and receive great training. Lots of opportunity for work when trained and pay is relatively good although nobody is really here expecting great pay.

As for beauracracy at a ground level it seems ridiculous some of the issues we have, such as not even being able to get decent boots, but I'm sure that somewhere all the issues in that regard just seem bad from the bottom.

I find it odd a little bit as a North American that doesn't really follow sports to be reading that last part. If I didn't know that the world cup or European cup whatever it is was on I would be thinking that Iceland for invaded or nuked by France or something and not just eliminated in a tournament.

Let alone how calm Saq was in the post while saying it.

CompTracker looks funny.

On their site:

"Through the use of mobile devices and a SECURE website, CompTracker enables students, instructors, and administrators to REPLACE the old PAPER ways of tracking students.

CompTracker is an EASIER, GREENER way to know what’s happening with your students while they’re on practicums!"

The whole site is like that; strange usage of emphasis to highlight buzzwords.

E.g., CompTracker being 'greener'. I doubt that. Any digital device produces more pollution than all the paper you'd use in a decade. They are built from certain materials that are toxic to the environment (during collection/processing/manufacturing/etc), are of ethically dubious origins (like most products we use, sadly), and/or hard to recycle. Paper is easy to recycle and comes from a practically renewable source.
The most ironic part of that is the program currently only works on iPad forcing people who would never have one otherwise to purchase one. Along with the fact that it only works with the newest iOS which may be a smaller issue than I think, but forces people to buy newer if it runs out.

How to tell them you want to take it to a mechanic?

"Hey, I want to take the car to the mechanic before I buy it. If not I won't be able to purchase it, sorry." Anybody that doesn't want it taken to the mechanic after that probably knows something is wrong with the car.

I hear these things about wisdom teeth and I'm grateful for how mine went. Just the 2-3 days of extra soft stuff and minimum period of painkillers and I went to the dentist a week later for a regular checkup and was hack to normal within 2 weeks.
