Salvage desktop or go all new?

24 February 2016 - 07:49 PM

So currently I have a gaming PC that is slightly older and the graphics card is aging. Wondering whether you guys would suggest building a new PC with all new parts or just upgrade what's needed.

Current Specs:
CPU: FX-4100 @ 3.8CUz
GPU: AMD 6950 Saphire 2GB
Ram: 8GB
Storage: 256GB sad and 1TB HDD

Only big(ish) issue is that they mother board is older so I'd need a new one in order to upgrade the GPU.

What I'm currently thinking is new motherboard, case, and GPU while recycling everything else presuming I won't require a new PSU since 8GB of ram is still okay, the CPU is fine (afaik), and the hard drives are still good.

Looking for thoughts and opinions on the matter. I do realise I will only be saving $200-300 but money saved is money saved.

Just looking for an estimate...

Was just wondering, based on current stats that are in sig hour many game hours, approximately, do you guys think it would take for me to max? If a stat isn't ranked you can essentially consider it as being level 1. I plan on working towards max and wanted an approximate figure for how much of my life I would be sacrificing.

Any answer would be appreciated although I do understand that I am asking a relatively difficult question, at least from my perspective.

Help for a Starter

02 January 2013 - 07:21 PM

I've recently acquired for my use a weight bench with a barbell, dumbell and a bunch of weight plates around 200lbs. I was wondering if anyone here could give me an outline or something of a basic routine for me to do. For now at least I just want something for general fitness with no real goal except getting into shape for football when I get to High school next year. Will probably start doing some sort of running if the weather warms up a bit and am currently looking for a decent priced treadmill so that the weather doesn't effect me in that regard. Along with that I work at a farm 2 evenings a week doing general chores.

Some infromation I figure you might want at sometime or another:
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 150lbs
Age: 15
Can with effort life about 50lbs, haven't tried anything heavier that I can think of and I regularly have to carry 18kg (approx. 40lb) bags of cat litter.

After that there is nothing I really think I should add. If you need anything else ask and I'll answer to the best of my ability.

Fastest Training

08 July 2012 - 01:51 AM

Hey guys, I recently decided to go back to an old account I had (pure f2p, trained very little 173 total) and I was wondering if there was a list or if you guys could just put some lists on the best ways to train f2p skills up. I know most of the basic ones that don't change without new content (mining = work up to iron then powermine, woodcutting = work up to willows (maples?) and power chop) and the ones that you can't really mix up (in f2p at least only one I can think of now being firemaking) so I was just wondering on some fast training tips for the rest of the skills as I plan on doing some hardcore scaping and trying to max this pure f2p account.

Only biggest thing I can mention incase you want more info is that this account is by no means a DIY account and all buyable skills will most likely be bought. Along with that some money making tips (good merching/flipping items) would be appreciated as the skills will cost tons.
