  1. Nice post Central_Keeper. When people put their point across in a clear way and state valid reasons like this it makes it alot easier to see their opinion and accept it. After all, this topic was open to discussion and I believe both sides of the argument can be seen through the amount of posts in this topic. I hope more people continue to post with as much detail and enthusiasm as that post.
  2. Wow alot more replies than I expected, seems many people have strong views over this subject and I hope to see more great posts concerning the matter. :
  3. Your point was very well made forsakenmage but this thread is definitely not aimed at people who cannot get membership for a certain reason, it is aimed at people who have a choice to go to members but choose not to, to keep their 100% F2P status for 'respect' from other players. Furthermore I am not saying that getting a 99 skill in F2P is not an achievement because it is, I'm just saying I see it as on par with getting a 99 skill in members. It just appears that quite a few F2P players feel their achievements are superior due to the fact they didn't have the benefits members pay for.
  4. That is your opinion. To me, I see it as a challenge. That's what makes the game more fun to me, not boring. I did state it was my opinion, not a fact. This topic is open to debate and everyone has different opinions.
  5. Restrictions may make the game more challenging, but they also make it more boring. Limited training options followed by overcrowded training areas do not make a game fun in my opinion. EDIT: At what point have I insulted you? I have not once insulted the F2P population, just simply questioned your logic, the whole point of me starting this topic was so people like you would give their view on why they remain F2P and it definitely was not intended to be a stab at F2P players. I simply stated an aspect of gaming and left players to give their opinions on it, there was really no need to get so defensive about it.
  6. At the end of the day when your 99 is matched with a members 99 the only difference is he has a one of a kind cape. No one really cares how you get a 99 as long as you get it. Whether I cook 1 million shrimp instead of 50k lobsters for 99 cooking once I get the cape people will still say "What an easy cape to get". Excellent point No_99_Melee. By choosing the hard way they gain nothing over a member and spent many more hours getting there.
  7. If a skill can be raised in a faster, cheaper and overall more efficient way then that's the way I would choose, not the way that meant I remained '100% F2P'.
  8. Btw, I am talking about people who could get members but choose not to so they can keep their F2P status.
  9. After browsing the Tip.it forums for a while, I noticed that many people are proud of their 100% F2P status. Many people refuse to get members purely because it would take away their F2P status, a reason I will never understand. Sure it's hard work to raise skills within F2P but getting members opens whole new possibilities to their gaming, why restrict themselves from further enjoying the game so they can be recognised as a complete F2P player? Surely the small amount of recognition they receive for having trained their account in F2P does not match up to the large amount of benefits having members gives? How do you feel? Do you believe being 100% F2P is something to be proud of? I am open to all opinions so please submit your view on this matter.
  10. K thanks alot everyone, I'll go try the flesh crawlers. :)
  11. Anyone else got any ideas or tips, anything would be appreciated thanks.
  12. Np, thanks for the reply. And yes I'm F2P if the title didn't give it away ;)
  13. Hey everyone, new to the Tip.It boards and was just wondering if you guys could help me with a few things: First off, my combat stats are 30's across any ideas on a good spot to train to 40's at? Secondly, I'm currently telegrabbing zammy wines for money, with all my non-combat stats at 40 is this the most efficient way or can anyone think of something that gives better profit? Thanks in advance for your help.
