RuneScape Information

  1. Yeah, I agree- with a toggle or something like that. If it's too personal to them, then they can turn it off.
  2. There are Zaros and Zamorak Mahjaratts heading north, I would assume that they are having their own final battle OR they want to assassinate Zamorak. Let's face it, no matter who they pledge allegiance to, they're all power hungry. And what about the shield. I think in Part 2 (or 4) of the Arrav lore, the dwarves mention that the shield can protect against ancient magicks- specialty of the Mahjaratts. And if you haven't read my post by now, take a look. Lots of compiled information from lores and in-game activity on topic. viewtopic.php?f=30&t=762750
  3. So prayer has taken the same route as fletching... and smithing... and crafting... and cooking... This aside, someone once told me I was a noob for burying bones. Apparently he thought that there were alternatives 4 years ago.
  4. I'm curious about the cannon in general. I hear people using it to prevent the CB from healing, but if they're not wearing range boosting armor, it's never gonna hit! If you do plan on teaming it with a cannon, I would probably recommend the cannon person to max our his range and ... well max out anything else that can prevent damage. Chance to hit in this case is probably most important.
  5. Of course, that scenario is maybe 1% likely, but we don't know what Arrav's disposition will be, aside that he will be "the fall of Varrock". He could be a slave against his will. But over 1300 years have past. By the way, I should point out this- Arrav is most likely in some sort of undead form. Like other undead, he could be mindless. He could be able to reason, an if he is freed, it could lead to a weakness in Zemouregal. It is the shield that Zemouregal wants. In fact, any one of these Mahjarrats probably want this shield, including Zaros (hes not a Mahjarrat). It's very possible that Zaros, or any one of the Mahjarrat wants to take Zamorak's place because they know that with the shield, they can do that (The shield protects from Ancient Magicks). But on topic- I know much of this is related, we know that Zemouregal and Arrav will be on their way. We also know that there is plenty of information in RS lore and in game that can lead to clues about what may happen. I don't know if all post bag posts are correct, but there have also been some interesting posts there too.
  6. Yeah definitely luring falls under PM and has everything to do with pking. This is the scenario. You are walking around Varrock and some girl sends you a pm- "Hey can you help my friend, hes in level 20 Wilderness and I think hes in trouble" To which you go with this girl to level 20 wilderness and 5 people including the girl own you and you lose all your stuff. Similarly this has happened. You are walking around Varrock and a girl says "Hey, wanna be my bf and go fight together in wildy?" You say sure, why not, I won't make a commitment, it's just for the moment. But by the time you get to level 30 wilderness- and by the time you get a skull on your head, your so called gf and 5 other guys own you Now, as far as addressing the "safe spot" luring problem for monsters, definitely not against the rules, but Jagex definitely needs to increase their AI so they can walk around a silly rock. I prefer not calling them safe spots, they're more like cheap shots.
  7. I have a vision... ...the next quest is gonna be called Defender of Varrock and it's gonna involve Arrav... Or you can just read my own little post. viewtopic.php?f=30&t=762750 And who knows, for all we know, the quest might have to be postponed if they haven't completed all of the bug fixes. Until then :XD:
  8. I might want to ask... why is the Shield of Arrav being held in the museum...? And- as you have pointed out, some person picked up this shield, but I must mention that this isn't any old person. I'll copy and paste some of the lore, going backwards so I can explain this. Is there a significance to this 16 year old boy?? Let's remember that if he were to be 16 at this time, he would be very old to this day. Also, none of the other elders knew of the Shield of Arrav, so how come this person's grandfather knew? There must be significance with this person. Judging from the timeline, this person should be approximately... 1375 years old.. if he is alive today. And what about the elder? Did Zemouregal visit his dreams as well and tell him about the shield? If Zemouregal did not visit his dreams, why does he know? What, if anything, is he hiding? Here is one more thing- Coupled with the fact that the Imcando stated (as I recall) that the shield should never fall into the wrong hands- ie Zemouregal. Don't forget, the Mahjarrat fight amongst each other. Here are the many possibilities. - A vicious battle between Zaros and Zamarokian Mahjarrat, and Zemouregal wants to be on the winning side, thus the Shield of Arrav. - Zemouregal wants to become a god and kill Zamorak, the Shield of Arrav must be necessary in this. - Anything else could be possible. Who knows, Arrav himself might want to become a god, kill both Zamorak and Zemouregal, and become a god- leading a new legacy of evil. Anything could be plausible, but I suspect that something crazy will happen if the shield gets into the hands of a Mahjarrat.
  9. understandable if this can be confirmed. I never needed to recover my account so, I don't know of this. edit: If this is so, then maybe JAGEX should try something new for recovering accounts- something better than remembering when you started. That being said, it's only one point of detail. I'm sure if Jagex were to make this a feature, they'd amp the current recovery system.
  10. Good theory. I would say that, Zemoregal may not use ancient magicks. The reason is because he along with Zamorak defiled Zaros- the god who was responsible for the Ancient Magicks in the first place. We know that the shield has many powers, most of them unknown. Among one of them was the ability to turn ALL of the undead into dust. Arrav threw the shield in the air and it was caught by one of the elders grandsons. Either that person knew the enchantment for the shield, or something happened to the shield while it was hurled into the sky. I think this elder, and his grandson need to be explored more closely. There is plenty of information in Arrav's lore.
  11. In my opinion, Jagex needs to work on AI issues. If a boss is truly going to be a challenge, it should be able to avoid 'cheap shots'. Honestly I find it sad that most monsters can't maneuver around a rock so it can attack it's target. I know some people swear by using obstacles, but at least the monsters should be able to put up a fair fight. Most of these guides you see typically examine the cheap spots of a given monster so people can effectively kill it. I anticipate this kind of update soon: The Corporeal Best has grown a sharp dislike to cannons, and will do whatever it takes to destroy them. This would be hardcore.
  12. Let's just anticipate that the update is gonna be by the end of the month, but prepare for it as if it will be tomorrow. In my case, it's all about the storyline and what changes (if any) the game might go through. I wonder if this will be the quest that will open up the PVP worlds. In other news, again I'm updating more information on the main post of the topic. Read through. If you have history from the RS site that you want to share, send them over! Provide links if possible. If you know of something in game, that would be great too. Thanks for posting
  13. Just a reminder of the past :) I would have to say that I'm glad after a year of these new updates that Autoers are pretty much gone. Little did we know that Jagex was preparing for secure trades and the Grand Exchange. Now, we're dealing with price manipulation, but really, what was worse than autoers hording every possible yew tree you could find (and buying out all of the feathers on the F2P world?)
  14. This was taken from Post Bag 28. There's a post about the Mahjarrat and what they might be doing now. I think the post was created from a RS regular but for all I know, it could be mostly fact. If we take the details seriously, that would mean that the Mahjarrat Hazeel, Lucien, Enakhra and Zemouregal are all aligned with Zamorak. Where there is Zemouregal, there is Arrav. If we stick with the basic Arrav story line, then we can make a conclusion that Zemouregal will lead an army of undead to Varrock. But- If we look at this piece of information, one could imagine something much larger in comparison. Zamorakian and Zaronian Mahjarrats are overwhelmingly going to the north, I presume to the Wilderness. Why is this? I don't want to speculate too much but if this is true it will add to the storyline. This post is larger than it seems, click the hidden tab to read Post Bag 28 [hide=Click to Expand] [/hide]
  15. I have gone through the first of many updates to the first page of this post. Thanks again for everyone who contributed. I agree with you about it probably having no connection to lunar diplomacy. As far as the spirit realm and the dream realm is concerned, what we know is this- This could be complete speculation, but the only way you can kill a tortured spirit is to be wearing full black armor and wielding a black weapon. So is it a coincidence that Zemouregal is also decked out in black armor? Could the Land of Dreams and the Spirit Realm be one in the same?
