Anti Alias issues in Runescape

08 August 2012 - 08:19 PM

So i'm having problems getting Anti alias to work correctly in Runescape. I can turn it on to 4x as expected (in both OpenGL and DirectX), but the image doesn't show correctly compared to screenshots some others have shown me. I still get jagged edges on my character, and other objects too appear to be slightly jagged. I've looked into my graphics card options (I have built in Intel ® HD Graphics with driver version 8.15.10.2182) but cannot find anything related. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do about this, without buying a new graphics card? Here are my pc specs:

I have a Sony Vaio VPCEA3M1E (laptop), with Windows 7 Home Premium 2009.
Intel® Core™ i3 CPU processor, M 370 @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz
4.00GB (3.67 GB usable) RAM, 64-bit OS.

Thanks! <3:

Planet Gielinor ~ The Geography of Runescape

"Welcome brave explorers, to the Planet Gielinor! I am Professor Ganick, a leading researcher into Geography at the University of Falador. Many of us are well versed in the history of Runescape, but how did the land around us in Gielinor come to be? This geographical guide will help you become more informed about the shape of the land, the biomes within the realm, and what may happen to it in the future!"

The Biomes of Runescape

Professor Ganick: "The places we are familiar with in Gielinor such as the Arctic regions of the north and the Deserts of Al Kharid are known as biomes. Biomes are areas which are similar in their climate and geography; containing the same types of terrain, flora (plants) and fauna (animals). This section describes and explains the various Biomes around Runescape that I've had time to study."

Java & Runescape problems

13 March 2011 - 04:08 PM

Ok, so I installed the new Java version (Update 24) and ever since Runescape has been going wrong. It plays ok for a time, and then on Chrome, I get whitescreened, and on Mozilla Firefox, black screened. The only way to fix it is to refresh the game, which is incredibly annoying. When I check my task bar, I can see multiple symbols for Java which when I highlight over them, they all disappear. It seems Java is turning itself off.

This is what I get:

I then went into my program files, and noticed I had 2 versions of Java, the update 24 and an update 20 (64-bit). I deleted both versions in case they were conflicting with each other, and then re-installed Java v.24. No luck, I keep getting black screened. Anyone have any idea of what I can do to stop Java dying?

Another thing, when I reinstalled Java, I kept getting a popup saying Java runtime error that kept coming up even though I clicked ok. It stopped after 5 or so times. I have a Sony Vaio VPCEA3M1E Laptop if it helps.
