  1. how much would bursting from 80-90 cost? about 25mill ish?
  2. update for anyone who still cares about this topic, i managed to test it out. d halby is definitely usable against the 360s--it won't make them melee you. Though sometimes my char will decide to be stupid and go closer to the 360 than it needs to, but it's easily correctable by forcing ur char to stand 1 square away from the 360 and THEN select attack. But is it effective? does it save money? it's not effective but it does save money. D halby is a slower weapon than i thought, and i usually end up killing the 360s faster with karil's xbow than with the halby even at 96atk/97 str. I think its because they are somewhat resistant to slash/piercing or their weakness is range. though it's not like it takes forever to kill a 360 with a halby, i'm just an impatient bugger especially since that run was for my third frikken fire cape :wall: . it'll save u some money on bolts though... i saved around 400 bolt racks without doing d halby all the way. I think it is possible to use d halby for the entire fight cave minigame, but it would be annoying and harder than simply ranging, especially on jad. i think the best thing to do would be to have one in ur inventory, switch to it when ur special weapon bar is full, and unleash all 3 specials on the mob u wanna down, and switch back to ur range weapon while u wait for ur bar to recharge. when the bars full again, switch back and unleash hell again, etc etc. involves a little more clicking, but u save some money i guess, and it's slightly faster than just ranging all the way. meh.
  3. i recently died for a stupid reason (looking at forums while logging in) and lost my cape. i actually did a /ragequit over that and cancelled my membership for a month. of course, not everyone is like me, but i'm sure many people remember how frustrating/long it was to get the fire cape the first time. it costs money, time, and it can easily all be completely wasted if you are a split second late with the prayer switching. i don't know about you guys, but every time i get to jad, i get nervous. EVERY TIME. I've done him succesfully three times now, but it's still a pain to have to redo all 60ish waves just to get to him. And if you mess up--WUP TOO BAD-- all 60 waves to waste time/cash on again for you. :shame: But yeah, i've learned to hide my firecape after that... no more bringing it to GWD. Though i hate the fact that i have to feel limited as to where i can bring my most fav. cape in the game, and that i have to "play it safe" because if i lose it, i'll have to re-accomplish what i've already gained. The best thing for me would be if Jagex would allow players to simply fight Jad--not the 60ish previous waves before him for the firecape if they've won it already in the past. OR atleast cut the amount of waves, sheesh.
  4. meleeing with d hally would be way faster than range for me. my attk is 96 and my str is 97. max hit w/ d hally is way above max hit with karils :/
  5. are u using a crush style attack when u melee them? ss + crush option is probably best weapon for meleeing them
  6. Well. in the case of 180s, i kill those first always because they attack range while i have to pray mage while a 360 is in the arena (unless im lucky and its stuck). I can get every other mob like melee ones stuck behind the 360 and then halby it. if halby would work, that would save me time AND money as i think it would be faster damage than range. so.. i guess no one knows for sure so far whether one can halby a 360 without getting meleed by it.. i guess i'll try it out if i don't get a certain answer :/.. if it worked, that would be such an awesome money/time saver for fight cavers
  7. i'm not failing at all, but i recently lost my firecape which is annoying as hell :wall: i want to know because my melee stats are high, my range is high-ish too (91) but i'd rather melee them. it costs me about 400k in bolt racks for 2k bolts. i'd way rather buy a d halby if it would work. what i usually do in fight caves, is kill everything and leave the 360s LAST unless i can easily get a melee mob stuck behind it. i'd halbying it with nothing left in the wave. edit: one more thing, is using karils + bolt racks faster than rune cbow + broad bolts? i hate spending time in the fight caves honestly :/
  8. so if i used d halb on a 360, it wouldn't switch to melee attack?
  9. I've been wondering about this for a long time... If you bring a d halb and use it on the 360s, would they be kept at a distance and thus forced to still only attack with magic? Most of the ammunition brought to fight caves is wasted on these stupid 360s, and i was wondering if using a d halby would be a possible substitute way to attack them or not.
  10. To me, there is a need because I don't know. Hence, I'll start one to find out. If there wasn't, then I wouldn't have made one, obviously. has anyone actually tested ROW at aviansies vs non-ROW and can confirm Giga's statement to be true?
  11. Is this normal? i'm at KC 1200 and i only have 900ish bars. I know 100 behind is usually normal... but 300? The other time i went farther into the aviansie base using mith grapple and was only 150 behind kc with a 1500 kc. Now I'm not inside the base, and am now behind by 300. Not using ROW, i heard it = less bars.. maybe its actually the opposite? :wall:
  12. ur using the magical secateur right?
  13. 1. sara sword 2. train to 85+ combat stats 3. buy bgs 4. do gwd 5. ??? 6. profit
