  1. At the end of the quest you are given a pair of un-enchanted guntlets. Taking these to all 3 brothers fails to allow you to enchant them with the desired or any enchantment as described in the quest guide. You get the response from them that they can not enchant them as another brother has already enchanted them even though they are not enchanted. You must immediately talk to Dimintheis after the quest and he will tell you that your gauntlets have been returned to him and he replaces the un-enchanted guntlets in your inventory with cooking guntlets. This updates your varrock acheivement diary, get a replacement set of guntlets, and makes the guntlets enchanted and changable with the brothers if you do not want the cooking enchantment.
  2. In the Suggestions area before starting the the quest it is currently stated: " Suggested: Quests: As a First Resort... (use pool for extended 100% energy boost) Items: rune hatchet or better, super energy potions, amulet of glory, a one-click teleport and some good food such as sharks, tuna potatoes or Saradomin brews. Do NOT bring weapons and armour; you don't need them, and they will only weigh you down." With the implementaion of EOC it is now suggested to wear armour for the LP bonus and the extra healing you will get from food while wearing the armour. I did this quest today on my noob account and found it much easier to do while wearing armour after trying it without first because of the extra LP boost and extra healing from food with it. Weapons are still not needed. I used Black d'hide as it gives good LP boost and is still cheap if you can't make it to your grave in time if you die.
  3. In the final battle with sigmund the ancient mace must now be equiped and you must use the backhand ability to turn off his 100% protection prayer's since there is no longer a special att. for the mace. Then you can kill him with anything you want after eliminating his prayer protection.
  4. In the Robin section of the quide it mentions that a Oak Longbow is needed and is also mentioned during this section as a item needing to get signed by Robin. This item no longer exists in game. It is now the Oak Shieldbow that is needed to get signed by Robin. Jagex also has not corrected this mistake in game yet as Ak-Haranu asks for a Oak Longbow during the quest still. But it is the Oak Shieldbow that is needed.
  5. What a stupid reward, you loose one of the options to get fast thieving xp... No, I think the knife monkeys on ape atoll still stays there. But I havn't check'd yet. I'm interested as to what route you are using? Since several have been suggested now (eagles, shanty/sarim jail > hot air baloons etc.) I used the carpet to shantay pass, run due north to lumberyard balloon, to gnome stronghold, to Daero to ape. Then to jail on ape and to the king route. Has anyone else tried that route to see if it is faster?
  6. Thanks. First time died with it on so I did not know and could not find the answer, Might have been searching with wrong questions.
  7. I died with my guthan's on and when I went to retrieve them from my grave the helm had been reduced to 0% and broken. I thought I had made a mistake so I repaired it and went and died again and again it was reduced to 0% and broken. The rest of my guthan's was 3-item saved and not reduced or broken. Is this normal for guthan's to do this? This is the first time I have died with them on so I thought I would ask here to find out before submitting a bug report. Or is this a bug in the Nomad's Requiem quest. Thanks
  8. On the fletching xp calculator. Under morphic/violatile tools Willow longbow(U) says I would need 60k to reach 99. It should read that I would need 120k. The calculator seems to cut the number in half on this item only as it also says at same time I would need 60k magic longbow(U) to reach 99. It would be nice to only need 60k and a lot cheaper but I know it is wrong. [Crew edit: Thank you, this has been corrected on the calculator.]
  9. Thanks for clarifying whether or not the pray would work before repairing all or not. As I said I did not know since I repaired them all first. I used my rune pickaxe on the golem as stated and it was a very short battle because of it. Since I can not do it again as I have only 1 paying account, I at this time can not prove it. I do not know if RS intended to have to use your hands and missed excluding using the pick or if any bashing weapon will work. Guess someone who has not done it will have to try out some things and let us know. [crew edit: rune pic has crush attack.]
  10. 2 Things in your quest guide for this quest. You mention to take off your weapon before defeating the golem guard. The broken golem in the side chamber mentions that he was bashed by the looters so having a rune pick with me (thought I might need it yesterday) I just changed the attack style to smash and defeated him with the pickaxe. I would think any weapon that has a bash or smash attack option would work. {crew edit: a crush attack works, thus pickaxe with smash works.} You mention needing prayer restore potion to repair all of the destroyed statues if your prayer is below 70. I noticed that if you pray at a already repaired statue it restores your prayer. I do not know if this works before all of them have been repaired or not as I have 78 pray and didn't try until all had been repaired but if you can restore pray after repairing each one then you would need a lower level just to repair the first one then restore and continue on repairing the rest. [crew edit: per below post and error message, You must repair all the statues before You can use any of them to restore your prayer. A message pops up saying you must repair all statues before using there power.(i try to look for the in game text)]
  11. OK, thanks for clarifing that. I don't think I have ever looked at the search list before.
  12. This was not in draynor manor but in the village. You have to search drawers in the house mentioned to get the next clue not a crate. I have had the clue you mentioned before and this is totally different. I have also had the clue to dig under a window in draynor village and this was not that one either.
  13. I just got a riddle clue that I don't see listed under the riddles. I read it 3 times to be sure. The riddles that is. It reads, Search the drawers in a house in Draynor village. The drawers are in the northern house. The one with the walled front yard. I thought I had done this clue before, a loooooooong time ago but can't be sure as I don't often get these low level clues. Got this one from evil tree as a reward.
  14. Using the quest calculator I thought I was all set to do the whole Recipe For Disaster quest only to find out that I could not finish yet. RFD- subquest 9 : Final fight- is listed as having no required quests but in fact there are 2 required quests, Horror from the Deep and Desert Treasure along with all the other subquests which would go without saying. I haven't done desert treasure yet and got stopped in my tracks from finishing. It is listed as a requirement when the actual quest is read but I would not have started if I could not finish it yet. Please correct this. Thanks pokemama edit: we regret the inconvenience and will look into this - we have the data entered but it seems it didn't get processed properly.
