  1. "anyone remember elvarg?" He/She's still around but much weaker...
  2. I think if you find all the minimum levels to complete every quest (for example, X attack, X strength etc...) add the combined xp and compare you'll have a more complete picture. I think many people are just taking into account the actual quest and not the skill levels to start the quest. So all these "reading a guide isn't as hard as grafting on one particular skill" is unfair, because you need to skill in multiple areas to complete one quest. As a small example, to start While Guthix Sleeps by pure skill levels you need: 23 Summoning (6,291) 55 Hunter (166,636) 60 Thief (273,742) 65 Defence (273,742) 65 Farming (449,428) 65 Herblore (449,428) 75 Magic (1,210,421) That's at least 2 million XP, I'm sure adding other higher quest requirements will add up to 13m (isn't that the requirement for 99?) so personally, I would rate the quest cape as a higher achievement than a single skill cape. I could be wrong, though.
  3. No. Craft guild is usually empty thus allowing faster mining without competition. What was your sentence again? Or are you one of those chavs running from the law again? Either way, I do hope something very nasty comes your way.
  4. Then explain what's the fun in targeting users that show no combat gear? It's like trying to explain happy slapping...
  5. Surely you don't fight in PVP just for experience and reputation? Why risk losing gear and loot in return for nothing except an annoyling sprint to a safe spot? Of course there is always duel arena for safe fights, but IMO, PVP renders Wildy useless. I think they should apply the risk=reward rule for any type of training in the wildy, or even double xp. I agree with the ten second protection burst before anyone else can jump in. Within that ten seconds you can either heal, or grab and sprint. I've been target for Pkers in PVP despite wearing costumes, brown apron and rune pick with an invent entirely of gold, annoying but I took the risks knowing I could be targeted. Just prepare better. #-o
  6. Thanks a lot! Yeah I think i'll spend half my time travelling and the rest on quests to get mega quick xp. Also I'll be able to view and merchant out my locked members stuff. Do members transportation work in F2P?
  7. I meant before I switch over.
  8. Right. Another one of my resolutions was to try P2P for a month. Now obviously I want to maximize this opportunity so I thought I'd train up a bit and earn back a couple hundred thousand cash as well (After all I gave away all my F2P items worth 500k on NYE) My stats should be posted below in my signature. I'm thinking of training RC upto 50 (It's actually 23) and eventually get my mining upto 70. I'm also one defense lvl away from Combat 90. Although it doesn't show it.
  9. QFT. This is exactly what I used to do.
  10. I seriously doubt players with cb 130+ and skills 90+ will instantly quit RS just to play Mechscape. What I expect will happen is an crossover quest hyping up Mechscape & the final quest of the current storyline (Which as a F2P'er I don't have a clue what's it all about) on either launch day of MS or the weeks before, during and after so that players have time to tie-up loose ends, create an account and just say goodbye to those who'll keep on playing RS instead of switching over. Of course they'll be big clan reunion events and such like but I feel it's probably going to feel like the last day of school before those who are going college/university and those that are staying around in town. Of course after all the switchover and goodbyes, they'll bring in a new storylines and expansion to keep those still paying & playing RS, well, paying & playing it. Eventually in the long term, if all goes to Jagex's plans, Mechscape will become the flagship and then the future of keeping RS will be very uncertain. But we're not talking for at least 7-9 years here. By then in all honesty, I hope to be doing better things with my time than playing MMRPG's online ;)
  11. Combat = 100+ Total Skill - 1700 Skill lvl - 70+ Quest - Max (From a F2P player)
  12. Al Kharid surely is a candidate here... From a F2P person, Al Kharid's main attractions are training basic crafting & fire altar. Duel arena? PVP, Clan Wars & Wildy are available. Chasm Mine? Rimmington, Lumby, Varrock, Dwarfen Mines & Barbarian Village all have similar rocks, with most having equal distance to bank. That's not even including the two guilds available. Quests? Prince Ali. That's it. Even Draynor Manor has two. Other than a long walk, entry to Al Kharid costs 10gp, hardly worth it. Yes that becomes free after the quest, but that's not my point. Where else in F2P does it cost to enter? Musa Point and you get much more for your money there. As for shops, other than armour/weapons (G/E is better value), the only shop of worth is the silk trader, of which there are better ways to make £££. If it wasn't for the tanning shop, fire altar and if bored with everywhere else, chasm mine, there is no point of going to Al Kharid for F2P. I also second Ice Mountain and add space, east of Varrock.
  13. Trade Limit. Although from what I'm hearing about the Graphical Update (Which now has forced me to use only one computer out of three) that might just take the crown in the long term...
  14. What I expect: Probably a new area in the northwest, not east, with quests & items. Or a path between Trollweiss and Frozen Plateau. New Dragon items. What I hope for: Enchanted/Jeweled/Blessed Weapons Following the construction (pun intended) of Player city, how about letting us own land to farm, grow trees (such as yew or w/e) etc... Crowns - Enchantable if possible. A simple gold crown would be enough, but place gems and possibly even enchant? woot!
