RuneScape Information

  1. The game doesn't offer enough in cities. Most of the places that are used most are far from any good city that holds people.
  2. Interesting Idea, but instead of total wealth of drop, why not get the High Alchemy amounts and use that as the wealth? Market price changes, while High Alchemy stays the same...
  3. I found the actual site... Little Timmy, got Haxxed And I was actually going to post a comment, but you need to join te site, so I'll just post it here... [hide=]Well, this is actually the kid's own fault. He didn't bother to know that is against the rules to pay for stuff outside the game with real money, A.K.A. real-world-trading. That is actually rule 12 one Runescape. Also, the game has a requirement for players to be at least 13 to play, isn't Timmy 11? Also, in the game it tells players to only enter their password on Runescape itself, and always look at the address bar. Now, sorry that the kid and his family didn't read into the rules, to understand they were playing wrong, but hey, crying about and being on the news doesn't make you better. I play Runescape myself actually, and the game itself provides fair hints to what you should do, and what is against the rules. This kid Timmy, must not have really read the rules, or the Terms of Service. In my opinion, this kid does not deserve his account for breaking the rules, being underage, and that he was easily fooled into entering his password on a different site other than Runescape. Now, you may think I am being a jerk, but I am thinking that most of the avid Runescape players would say the same. This kid is better off playing something more appropriate for someone his age, like a Console system, without the possibility of being hacked. Oh, and by the way, your reporter had wrong information, you don't need to pay to play Runescape, the game does have a free version. Thank you, and next time, make sure your news is correct, and just before defending someone who broke the rules himself.[/hide] I can really say that this kid isn't getting my sympathy. Move on kid, get a life..
  4. Love this guide... So far, I have gotten 44 Hunter levels in 2 days... More levels to come today as well...
  5. Um...wow. He reported..........fiddlesticks? :| Aww, that is fiddlesticks... Wait, no don't report me... Lol, gotta love the noobs...
  6. I really think it is useful when you get the random when you want it. If I am, like the OP said, Monster farming, and am running out of space, I find it useful to get an event to deposit my inventory. However, I can't remember the time fully, but when I was F2P, at one point I got the random while killing the Greater Demons in the Wilderness (was burying Burnt bones every now and then) and I was teleported out. I did the random, and when I came back, three Revnants had taken over the area, and I was killed not long after. Now I would have teleported, but I deposited all my runes, thinking I could walk to BH. Bad thinking on my part. So in the end, I just think of that random as useful when it comes to time and location.
  7. It finally looks like Runescape is reverting back into its former glory here, which really isn't a bad thing. I think it is about time somebody brings the game back to the roots and making the game feel good, instead of the rough game it has become. Can't wait to see what the new JaGex CEO is like, and how much better the game will become, or utterly fail.
  8. This one just happened to me. Level 3 skiller(combat level 3 with cooking cape) came over to the area where I was killing bats(slayer), and asked for me to give him my bat bones(prayer for me). Here's how the conversation played out. Him: Please bones?? (is dying, but has food) Me: Are you trying to die? Me: Lol, I need these bones for prayer. Him: Rofl Him: Pleasebones Him: Bat bones Him: Ok? Me: I said I need them for prayer. Me: Are you a skiller? (I saw he was dying, so I killed the bat that was killing him) Him: Idiot Him: Idiot Me: Me? Me: Why? My favorite part now: Him: Omfg Him: Your Him: Idiot Him: Me kill Him: Omfg Him: Report Him: (it was mostly stars, with some b's at the end, I took it for noob) Noob Then he logged. I was making sure he didn't die, but he reports me? Ah, the life of the level 3's, shouting the 'n' word.
  9. Alright, thank you lady_ninane, now I understand the gist of this predicament. Unfortunate for those banned, luckily for me, I had no clue what penguins were for...
  10. Um, I don't fully understand what this whole Penguin mess/ minigame is, could someone explain this? From what I've heard, it was an experience booster, that was from multi-clicking a penguin. However, that is all I understand.
  11. It's people and ideas like this that I can't stand. Let them play the game. And as for your idea that 75% of the skillers are F2P, did you also know that 99 of players are F2P? :wall: Just let people play the game the way they want. You don't need to tell them what to do. :wall: Hmm, well isn't really because of these skillers that prices are now crazy for base prices on items that should cost more in there final production form. Look up the Grand Exchange article that is on this forum, here's a link or another link, that shows the damage of skillers crossed with the help of merchanters. I remember when it cost about 30k at one point for Full Mithril armor in a set from anyone, and Runite was over 250k in a set in World 1 in a low price. Then came the birth of skillers, merchanters, and the the GE, but actually before the RWT bust, where you now had trade caps, that caused F2P to explode with skillers who would cut nonmember items that turned into a necessity for some member skills, or even some nonmember skills, which caused the game to go under. And I wasn't saying that people should play with mains, more of a what if situation where skillers were not something of what the OP said, the atrocity of what is now a F2P world.
  12. I find skillers a waste, but a useful waste. Skillers help pass materials and items throughout the game which are then used by main players, combat pure players, or skiller players. These materials help to keep the Runescape economy running, and make it so there are items to be bought, sold, and most likely used in some way in the end. As to why they are a waste, is because they clog up the F2P servers(which is where you can find about 75% or more of the game's skillers), and make more information on the database servers, which takes up memory, and in the end slows the game somewhat. If people were required to only have one account(which would be hard with people who hack, but hacking only happens when are not secure with your account), then skillers and combat pures would become mains in the end, deleting a massive amount of accounts on the server. But to answer your question, I myself became a member for the first time six days ago(I had old accounts that I a) forgot the password to, or B) just decided Runescape wasn't worth my time, leave for awhile to come back to a hacked account, or forgotten password again). I first really started playing in the early months 2004 as a F2P(wow and still, no steady account until now), and a membership now, first time, in early 2009. Do what I learned: Go member, there are truly no regrets, in my opinion.
