  1. I agree 100% with the second article. Since the name update, i have constantly been wondering who is who on my friends list. I must confess that I did change my name once from Jedisquire to JediSquire. Oh and I call Commendations pest points still.
  2. The author of the second article does not like castle wars, even before the update. I have stopped playing castle wars when the clan wars came out, but like allot of people I checked out the update. It hardly changed anything it was still melee based, the rewards seem pointless (yes I think that the new armorer is ugly too), I still cant use my ava's accumulator, and most of the people there are just there for killing other people. As for the author wanting an auto balancing system, there is something like that now, but i believe that it is based on the amount of players not the levels. I would rather Jagex focus on some other aspect of the game rather than fix the balance of castle wars. As a side note and helpful hint, join the team that just lost. Odds are they are going to win. Something to do with noobs (low levels to be more politically correct) rushing to the winning side for the next game i think.
  3. For the second article, the author left out a point, that around 90% of people use melee. I like to range, and believe it or not I find my ability to kill mages adequate if not more so. But here is the rope, magic is expensive so there just is not all that many magers playing in a non profit mini game. Magic is great in pvp because of the vast amount of meleers. Rangers are unhappy because there is just not that many people for them to kill. For the first, I once saw a kingly imp, and posted it on the form. The guy who caught it got a crown, he was quite happy.
  4. I will say what many have said before, the second article was correct. I must add this though a little luck is added, drops and the like, and the lower level players do not have the same ability to gain money or levels as the high level players. The author gave me the impression that no matter what your level in RuneScape is you have equal opportunity, this is not true. A Fledgling will not have the pleasure of hopping between cities, chopping trees with ease, or snagging a shark. But the opportunity to gain those abilities are the same, that point he made clear. In a way the newcomer has it easier. Think of a poor player that got 99 prayer before the ecofungus or alters came out.
  5. Excl's and the line dancing were by far the best, in the end I voted the line dancing because of the amount of time editing. I Have no regrets that Excl is going to win.
  6. I personally thought that the wake up article was a rant of a jaded player. There has been mobilising armies, bounty worlds, Tracking, running update, multiple quests and soul wars! True this year has been full of fixing, but it has not been a boring year. Only without the BTS progress is harder to track. I am sure that just because they don't post their deadlines any more does not mean that they don't exist.
  7. After reading the second article I wondered what was he doing? I have never found randoms annoying and never had a ent eat my axe or a smoking rock explode in my face. I enjoyed most of the randoms and the ones I did not it was no biggy, wait, relax and look out the window till it went away.
  8. I loved the merchanting article Because I recently witnessed that happen with Pirate's hats I got one from a clue and I was pleasantly surprised to see that it had raised 120% in the last week! I promptly sold it and after this weekend I see that the prices are starting to drop. I wondered what could have caused this rise and drop and now I know! But I have already found out the did you know 2 days before sadly, I might add that you cant go from ardougne to edgeville that way.
  9. Well yes runescape is nerdy. But is not the nerdiest thing out there I go to a small nerdy school and only one buy in my class has never played.
