RuneScape Information

  1. In response to the multitasking article, I see where players get the urge to multi-task by browsing the forums or watching tv or a movie. I do this too. Its not that I don't like runescape. I mean I like the content, leveling up my skills, the simple game play. What runescape doesn't do and probably will never do is offer a comparable gaming experience where the player is completely immersed in their surroundings. Its a game where you can play as intensively as you want, or you can kick back and fish while watching iron man. You can't watch tv while playing xbox or playstation (well you can but it'd be rather difficult).
  2. Oh and the game is hella easy these days compared to "way back when" lol
  3. I've been playing since a couple months after the christmas cracker drop (March I think and not on this account). I don't think "old school" quite equates to "Do it yourself". I try to play in the most efficient manner but I also try to make money with most of the things I do so not quite DIY but I don't throw my cash around just to raise a skill as quickly as possible.
  4. I think this idea is brilliant! Really I do. Smithing and mining are long over due for booster shot! Excellent concept art too! There is only one problem I have with it though. Mining the ores seems a little too difficult. Whats the purpose of the elemental attacking you while you mine?
  5. I would have preferred that they didn't remove the old armor and only kept it for decorative purposes. I always thought that it looked pretty damn good lol.
  6. *sigh* I was quite partial to the blue and white armor set. Farewell!
  7. I completely agree. Especially with a multitude of older players to choose from, they can avoid most of the bugs/balancing issues. And I bet that they could keep it secret someway or another. I have no experience in this field so I don't know logistics. I don't know how feasible this would be but it would definitely be beneficial for major updates such as skills, mini games, major graphical improvements, and the like. There is only so much in house testing you can do,
  8. Not really but its too ingrained in the system already. It would be too much of a hassle to remove at this point. The only way to take pure ess out of the game now is to replace it with an equivalent amount of regular ess based on the current prices (that is, for every pure ess you have, you would receive multiple regular ess). But it wouldn't be worth it anyway.
  9. Zezima, The Old Nite, N0valyfe, Gearshifter, Bluerose13x, and lilyuffie99 (right? I can never spell that correctly lol)
  10. slayer was excellent, so was farming, hunter, runecrafting, and construction (and agility if you remember that far back). Summoning needed tweaks as will dungeoneering. Naw I'd say they do a pretty good job releasing skills and as we have seen with summoning, they do a good job tweaking them and making changes.
  11. To my knowledge, RS2 was the only "update" that Jagex has ever released a beta for. They do internal beta testing but that can only help just so much. Usually Jagex does very well with releasing updates that the large majority of the community likes. Until you release the new skill or update to the main game, there is now knowing how the community will react so naturally they won't get it right every time. It just so happens that recently they have had some trouble releasing skills that could really have benefited from beta testing.
  12. Awesome! I'll rate the 99 but keep working your almost there!
  13. Supported!! Wonderful idea! I really think that f2p needs a boss monster. That would be fantastico! I do have some beef with this idea though. I like the draconic armor idea and the evlarg boss idea but I think it may be up to jagex to fine tune the combat level and drop counters. I think that the combat level may be too high and there seems to be a whole lot of drops for just one monster. I really don't have any suggestions on this part; its just my opinion.
  14. By the time they will run out of ideas, they will probably have another mmorpg up and running. As long as they space out big updates they'll be fine. People will probably play runescape forever lol. They can always expand the map and add new quests and stuff.
  15. I found War of Legends fun but its not worth the microtransactions that they implemented. They need to remove that aspect of the game or I'm not playing. Monthly subscriptions are the way to go.
