    Today...

I recently got a new phone and know exactly what you're talking about. It's like: Iphone 4: 50 dollars Contract: 3 years, 200 minutes, free evenings and weekends, free texting, 1 gig of data a month for 45 bucks 15 dollar activation fee 12 dollar/month for caller ID I just said "haha, are you kidding? [bleep] no". Has never been a problem. If someone calls me 12 times and doesn't think to text me "hey dude I need to talk to you" then it's their fault. I also don't screen which friend I feel like talking to because I'm not an [wagon], so I've never run into any problems with not knowing who's calling me.
  2. Has anyone played competitively recently? I stopped for about 8 months or so (after Blaziken was banned but before Excadrill was) and just decided to read about the recent trends. Some I don't understand though: Tentacruel: What does it accomplish this metagame that it didn't before? Is it just a Scizor check that can work on stall teams? Lucario: Did Excadrill being unbanned ruin its usage that much? Doesn't take advantage of weather, can be easily hard countered depending on the set, and just seems underwhelming. Infernape: Just a replacement for Blaziken? Donphan: Why is this thing good all of a sudden? Jellicent: How is this thing still OU? So underwhelming. I don't get why you would ever pick this thing with a well built team. It tries to do too many things at once and just fails. Really hate this Pokemon and don't get why it's popular when something like Slowbro is better (can't spin block though. Is it that important this metagame with a few rapid spinners in OU?). Blissey and Chansey: Recent usage has them at 32nd overall and 46th overall respectively. Why has the premier special wall gone so far down in usage? Mamoswine: I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Mamoswine. But really? It's still OU? Hydreigon: #36 in usage. Do other dragons outclass it that much? Gastrodon: Kind of makes sense seeing how few grass types there are in OU, but really? I thought it would die down after hearing about Blaziken/Excadrill getting the boot. What does it still do? Alakazam: This one is the biggest mind boggle to me. It got nothing this gen and Scizor/Tyranitar are still in the top 4 of OU. How is this thing OU? What does it do that Latios can't? I just don't get how this thing is OU this gen when there are more, and better Psychic types now available in OU. I just don't understand it. Dugtrio: Same question... really? Mostly just want answered: how do these things fit in the current meta? Is it still a weather war and (for example) Donphan/Tentacruel fit nicely on sun teams? Or has the weather war died down to where something like Lucario can still be a big threat without Gliscor/Ghost types in the mix.
  3. Just a scapegoat, like the majority of fired coaches are. I don't expect RC to make any significant difference. Randy Carlyle is a much better coach than Ron Wilson IMO. If Randy can't get the job done then I think Burke is next.

Yeah, the rulings are a bit ridiculous sometimes. Going to use Monster Reborn vs Thunder King as an example of your situation though. For Thunder King to negate Monster Reborn, it has to negate the spell, not the special summon itself. Even though Thunder King says it can negate special summons, it's trying to negate something that already successfully resolved. Very confusing, but some logic IS there. Yeah, that one can be worked out, but when I use Laval Laggio to negate a spec summon of Gorz and he says I can't that's friggin frustrating. Especially after I decided to just go by his word so he'd shut up, I reborned his Blue eyes and killed it next turn regardless. Then he quit saying he didn't have time to exlpain the rules to a noob. I've been playing yugioh longer than some of the players have been alive rofl. Also LOL @Rob Yeah Gorz has a really obscure ruling that I never remember either. It has to be negated it has to have a speed spell of 3 (counter trap) and be able to negate effects, with the only commonly played card being Solemn Warning (Divine Wrath, Debunk, and War Chariot work too). Such a pain. But the card is a necessity with the current meta.

  6. I thought he was referring to the game itself, not going to and from the game.
  7. 3 hours for the actual game. Generally you want to leave ahead of time to get good parking/buy whatever you want, and leaving may take another half hour depending on where you park and how the arena is set up. If you've been to any other sporting event it's roughly the same.
  8. Offers highest ad that doesn't require you to stack for it also gives second highest critical chance, all for one item slot. Lulz at Zhao and Vayne for going over critical limit. Vayne also, had no lifesteal. Which is why if you're worried about dying in that scenario, you go something like 1 IE 1 BC/LW (BC is only good on Corki for E and Vayne IMO) 1-3 PD if you're worried about dying a lot 1-3 BT Multiple IE is just a waste of a useful passive that doesn't stack. I've seen worse builds, but it could be so much better.
  9. Why would you ever stack Infinity Edge......................... Oh god that Vayne could have completely destroyed you guys with a proper build.
  10. Jets win a game! Feels good man. Pavelec finally showed the goalie he's capable of being and the defense played a lot better.
  11. There's no way we're making the playoffs with a defense that either gives up a turnover or tries to lead the rush only to give up odd man rushes the other way. They'll be fine in a few years. A lot of people are saying that we'll go back to an empty arena after the 3 year season tickets are up, but that will just mean people like me can finally get tickets. Oh well. Future is looking up for the Jets.

Bike or swim instead. Walking/running/jogging hurts the knees. no bike and it's too cold to swim. Plus I have weak lungs so swimming is out of the question for exercise. I was planning to try out the weights but the area was choc full of about 10 high school kids +3 others. and I'd rather not waltz in, confused as [bleep] and look stupid. Not in front of a large group like that anyway. Maybe I'll sneak out @ 12am and go. We all started somewhere. People at the gym are usually more than willing to help you with form/routines/diets if you just ask.
  13. I was too until, during draft day, they said it makes sense since Dale Hawerchuk coached him in Juniors and really said good things about him. With the praise that Dale gave him I really hope he does have the talent and personality to succeed, whether with Barrie or Winnipeg this year.

If the law is pointless, I don't see why not. Whether or not the law is pointless should not be any excuse though. You're still allowing them to break a law which could allow to further, worse consequences in the future. I cannot break laws myself then not let my son break laws, that's called hypocrisy and worse off to me than what a fat white man has written down. Can't argue with that.. It's also much safer to do it at home than out somewhere else. His parents logic is probably "if he doesn't do it here he'll do it somewhere else anyway".
