Man, this is like the release of Construction all over again, except this time, the skill in question is EVEN MORE arbitrary in usefulness and training methods.

I'm sure there's some useful perks to be had amid the sea of garbage ones Jagex have made, but unlocking them just isn't worth the time/resource/monetary investment.

A chimp with no knowledge of RuneScape's economy would have better balanced the catastrophe that is this poor attempt at an item sink.

That and the current state of the game is clearly of one in decline.

I am pretty sure that has been said for 12-13 years now, and the game is still going - with existing and incoming players.
(Of course, at some point someone will be right when they "foresee" the doomsday of RS.)

Decline doesn't necessarily mean they think the game is on Death's doorstep.

I'm sure RuneScape will keep going for a few years yet, but there's no denying the player base and content quality has declined sharply.

In case people were curious on how much all the additions that cost GP (from Slayer Masters) are:

Salt Shaker - 30k
Rock Hammer - 500 gp
Explosive Shaker - 50k
Super Explosive Flask - 50k
Ice Shaker - 40k
Fungicide Shaker - 60k
Slayer Bell - 150 gp

As if people doing slayer these days even kill those outdated and obsolete monsters anymore. Still boggles the mind that this update was voted for in Runelabs. This is sort of what happens when you let noobs vote in Runelabs.

Implying that your vote is more important because you've already surpassed low level content. Nice.

News flash: not everything has to cater to your wants or needs.

I personally can't stand "runecoins".

Jagex needs to realize that not all of us can afford to pay 100s of real life dollars. Those of us who have limited money can't buy even half of these overrides.

Which does bother me. Yes, I like to wear my dragon armor 24/7, but I'd like to at least try the other overrides for sale.

Whether you like it or not, it's not Jagex's fault that you can't afford runecoins. You don't need anything sold in SGS to play the game and you should be glad that that's still the case.

And you can try the overrides that they sell: you can preview all of them with the wardrobe.

Dreadful ideas that won here. Most of these are tiny updates that would appear in the patch notes if anything. The only thing I'd actually be excited about are the dragons.

Awful start to kick off the whole Runelabs crap.

Agreed. Addy and Rune dragons would be what I would vote for, purely because it's the only option that constitutes actual content.

Not just you, thought it was great. It wasn't 'scary' at all, but it had great pacing and atmosphere.

Length wasn't bad either.

There's so many things wrong with this post that I can't help but think it's a troll.

1. Asking all gay male players to wear pink and female to wear blue is already a huge stereotype in itself. Not all gay people like to associate themselves with connotations.

2. Why are you advocating self-imposed segregation? If I were gay, the last thing I'd want to do is play on a world populated only by gay people. Not only is it backward-thinking, it's also hypocritical. If a straight person were to ask for heterosexual only worlds, the gay community would go apeshit.

3. You insult people by assuming they're all ignorant homophobes. Every person with more than a single brain cell knows that being gay isn't a choice. Don't act like they don't.

I'd say the collector's insignia is worth it. It's a pocket slot item that acts as a ring of wealth with added benefits. It also frees up your ring slot for something more useful.

For anyone who finds RS too hard to boss on I challenge you to play Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. Now THOSE bosses are hard.

Not a fair comparison. Those games have more responsive and intuitive controls and mechanics. :twss:

Yeah, that's like comparing apples and oranges. I've completed all the Souls games, yet I've never even attempted Vorago/RotS/KK/Araxxor. Not because I don't think I could do them, but I just cbf to learn a bunch of alternating mechanics and then try to put them into practice in a point and click MMO.

Bossing is part of the endgame, not the whole of it. The Comp Cape, needless to say, also has very high (the highest in fact) skilling requirements. A lot of the complaining about this update is from Comp Cape owners who were exclusively skillers and had grown complacent and felt enetitled to have their Comp Capes for all eternity. For them, Comp Cape should only have skilling requirements, and quest requirements, and things that they can do effortlessly or in a predictable and safe grind-like manner. The moment the Comp Cape was changed to actually include requirements about a very important aspect of RS that had hitherto not been represented in the Comp Cape, these people just lost their collective shit.

I mean you never saw PvMers who were Comp Capers complain about the fact that they had to do so much damn skilling to get the Comp Cape.

I don't give a shit about who's entitled or whiny or whatever other buzzwords we're required to have in our posts here, I'm just suggesting that Jagex isn't helping. If they want bossing to count toward completionism, that's their right, but don't tell us that it was our idea when the players it affects the most are up in arms about it.

Because every comp caper hates the idea of bossing, right? Don't just assume that just because a group of players doesn't want to learn how to kill some bosses that nobody wants to.
