RuneScape Information

  1. You're thinking RuneFest. That's August. April is RS Gathering. Excl's invite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvEcDGq7Bj4 World/Time adjusted March 16th by him. Date: Sat. April 9th (2011) World: 152 (153, 154) F2P Time: 8pm GMT 9pm England time (+1 for daylight savings) 4pm Eastern US time (daylight savings time) 1pm Pacific US time (daylight savings time) 6am Austrailain time
  2. Perhaps it was bad timing for them to make the announcement the day before Bonus Experience Week. But now that's gone and over it's time to focus on the next big thing. Tehnoobshow's RuneScape Gathering 2011. Last year and this it is hosted by Excl with the help of Amber Meow. Thanks to the first fame to help spread the word to everyone -- Whatsupwithrs! Facebook event notice: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/event.php?eid=141509275915205
  3. I admire your honesty. Best of luck on requesting ban reisntatement (BAR) from Mod SteveW on the rs forums.

  4. Neocrosby: It's your lucky day! QFC: 250-251-3-62411000 Mod SteveW is leading the discussion accepting all users wishing to post for unbans. This "fee" has yet to be shown on any YouTube videos. But February 17th 2011 marks the first ever BAR (Banned Account Reinstatement). And I'm still ticked they didn't give me credit for inventing that name February 7th 2011 on my post to Taylor Swift's thread where all of the JMods were answering questions and stuff. I'm completely against this new policy but if it's Jagex they always do what they want without regard to what the players want. My ban lasted 3 years on Kire667. I earned it back FREE. They should continue NOT encouraging users to bot with new ways to get out of bans, and just accept that we all pay enough money for membership to fund rule enforcement. You don't see World of Warcraft opening up a page for "Click here to buy back your banned accounts". So why should Jagex? Hell. If they actually do this I'm should start botting and RWT right now and IF they catch me I'll buy back everything from them for a fraction of the price I bought them for. Have maxed every skill in under 1 year (which took me 8 years for 9 skill capes the legit method) and be the best thing that ever happened to this game. Hell! They may even make me player moderator since I'll bot my way to the top 10 ranks of game. *yesh* Nothing against you. We all consider the dark side at times. Some actually cross over into it. It's just they're going about this all the wrong way. You CAN'T promote unfair unbans to children and NOT expect them all to go bot crazy thinking long as there's cash in their pocket they can pay unban by simply POSTING for unban after they get denied. ntn: I was unfairly banned as well. I've posted my 13 perm ban videos on YouTube fully showing inbox after inbox from Jagex of where they claimed websites aren't allowed and now they unfiltered "Google" and allow "YouTube" and they even got their own list of URLs posted on the forum. 13 times it took being banned on Kire667 for them to give in and finally realize Rule 11 is misused. Not every website is bad. In fact they learned a hard lesson.. free advertisement is what made their game #1. And now they run their own 3 channels on YouTube and link to Twitter and Facebook through various spots on RS News and so forth. Never once paid for any of my appeals. I fully earned them after final chance got declined. It took 3 years for my longest perm ban. But it was well worth it for the rights and freedoms now given to everyone since 2009. We've moved out of the dark ages. All these new players take it for granted through -- years of hard struggle on the backs of all us Runescape rioters. This is merely another test of our will to stand together and stand strong against Jagex corruption! Say hell no to paying for what's free. The right to an appeal.
  5. Gathering Soft Clay The Sapphire Bracelet of Clay (696 gp on GE) makes any mined clay appear as soft clay. You may also mine at one of two locations for speed based on how much you're willing to spend (and later get back). Option 1) Varrock City clay north of Champions' Guild. Using the Sapphire Skills Necklace (14832 gp on GE) and any pickaxe begin mining the 2 clay rocks southwest of Varrock's wall. Rub the Skill Necklace, teleport to Cooking Guild. Head to Varrock west bank, restock 1 Bracelet of Clay every run, and 1 Skill Necklace every 4th run. Option 2) Draynor Village clay north of city limits. Using the Dragonstone Amulet of Glory (67067 gp on GE) and any pickaxe begin mining the 4 clay rocks north of Draynor Village (south of Draynor Manor). Rub the Amulet of Glory, teleport to Draynor Village. Head to Draynor Village bank, restock 1 Bracelet of Clay every run, and 1 Amulet of Glory every 4th run. Considering the current rate per soft clay on GE (over 200 per item) you can actually earn around 50k gp every 10-15 minutes using either method. Or you can make urns which don't sell on GE at current rate (once we know the street price then we will know the GE price). Crafting Urns There's a nearby pottery wheel north of Draynor Village bank. So far this is the quickest way to make urns.
  6. xpx: Why do you imagine the prices went down on GE for just about everything? It isn't the GE that's failing -- it's the net value per GP with RWT voted back into the game (by the people). Sadly nobody else was wise up to what Jagex did. They posted a vote and allowed botters to automated register e-mail addresses to accounts to vote "yes" 100k times per day. The 7% of those against RWT would be overrun with "yes" votes obvious. And now Jagex can take their cut of the RWT by selling appeals and second chances at RuneScape. And again.. to all those whom love saying it. Jagex runs the game they can do as they wish. But we pay to use the game and if we disagree with corruption we have the option to see how far they make it on their own if the game is only bots and RWT left. With nobody to sell to why ever would bots wish to pay to get their account returned? There wouldn't be that many to sell gold RWT to. And if it's for the 99s and 120.. who can bots show off to if all their human friends moved over to Warcraft? To trolls whom will say "so why do you play if you hate it?" The mere fact we're here discussing this rather than running away is full proof we care about the future of RuneScape and Jagex.
  7. Bladewing: It's nothing against you, nor against bots that get famous for botting so well. (Or else why would s/he get rolled back?) I simply despise dishonesty when it's evident the user botted according to Jagex punishing them part of the way for it. Using botted stats to earn an item and the stats reverted while the item remains is where I see a problem in "the end justifies the means." Taylor Swift: I have full knowledge of how disconnected Jagex and all of the FMods and PMods can be at times over the course of my 8 year account with RuneScape. Seen just about anything and everything. Ups and downs with each update and "claimed" offense against me accordingly. It's quite amusing honestly with the numerous players whom turned into Rant posters rather than Suggestion posters after 2007. I know it may take a while for them to pull their efforts together and actually spread word around Jagex HQ of what changes are taking place in 2011. Soon as they have it planned out they shall inform us, then we can work on spreading that word to everyone and anyone that still plays RuneScape.
  8. Taylor Swift: Woah? Somebody is scamming? By the way it's good to see you joined TipIt. This was the ONLY guide website around for RuneScape Classic. Great inspiration for most of my work on a personal website and etc. Any luck yet related to more posts/replies from Mod Mark H, Mod Poppy, or any of the others? Star_Fox: Yes it may be some time before rares would become a problem in this. And if items DO get rolled back alongside stats THEN it will make all of the rares rise in value due to less and less in supply and demand ever present. And yes it is only regarding bans during 2011 or after. As for any sort of money issues. It isn't that they're poor. And if they were to be involved as a company taking part in "profiting" through RWT that would make them far worse from a player perspective than they were with merely releasing an update before fully explaining it to us. ;) djpailo: I'm sorry I wasn't more specific. I meant in Mod Crow's thread "Account Review" it took me a couple weeks to get off ban. I honestly lost hope. Every friend told me my account was probably banned and I'll never get it back. After seeing first hand where tehnoobshow posted a thread advertising "YouTube" and "RuneScape Gathering" in the same paragraph and was praised by Jmods rather than forum or game banned.. it gave me hope so I tried once more to appeal my ban. Sure enough Rule-11 is gone back to how it use to be in classic "No scam website mentions." ring_world: RWT and Bot were things that Mod Andrew posted in the RS News back in December 2007. He stated why there needed to be GE and an extreme change to keep this game from going under indefinitely due to refunded/stolen credit card payment for memberships and other odds and ends related to crime lords somehow passing money off to gold selling sites so they get paid back in "clean" money that wouldn't be traced too well. It's all very complicated but I never bot and never shall. I know full well how RWT can be abused to cause bans with no marks or evidence however. I hosted 8m in Rune drops per 90 days to celebrate each holiday at world 14 between 2003 and 2007. My account NGoR1 (stands for my website. Nothing racist before anyone jumps to the conclusion that's what led to it's ban. It's a safe storage account for all donations from my site). The account was accused of and found guilty of RWT. Ban lasted a few years. When I returned to the account the only items someone "donated" to me were a couple runes and uncooked fish. Wasn't even that much of a donation but due to the fact perhaps this clan member took part in RWT Jagex was tracking his account and blindly accused anyone he traded for 0gp return value to ban also under such suspection. Regardless of the fact I has a clean record up until then. For your instance of no offenses and still punished. I can tell you it happens. Sometimes they don't give reason and sometimes mistakes do occur. I'd be sure to contact Jagex through another account and let them know the name so they may review any unpublished offenses pending. Bladewing: Perhaps he paid or lent the account to a friend to earn the cape for him. Jagex wouldn't have means to track it if they live around the same general world location. which is the case for MANY fire capes seen on players.
  9. Pal2002: It isn't you chose the wrong game. It's the wrong game chose you. I had the same issue in Diablo 2 after playing 1998-2003. They made a poor move and added 200 new items more godly than the ones that took us elders years to earn. So new kids had the SAME drop rate chance as us elders to even become better at the game than us simply because of that. That's when I threw in the towel and came to Runescape. Been here ever since. Even after the false bans, the ups and downs of kids whining for this or that. I love this game because it is imperfect and incomplete -- just like me. If the game were finished and nothing left to change to fix. Well, what use would we the testers be for Jagex? They need us much as need them. And by the dumbfounded look on Mod Mark H's face when caught with his pants down during a hidden update to the ban system -- just that much more reason for us NOT to depart. The intent of this thread was not to shoo users away from the game but rather to open people's eyes and have us all provide a voice for the player base of this game. Let's tell Jagex no more hidden updates, no more closed doors. They have Twitter, Facebook, even YouTube. If they made the effort to even hint to what changes are taking place in the game we live in.. I'm sure it would easily spread from player to player until we were all caught up to speed on the situation and Jagex's Big Plan to rid the game of botters and RWT once and for all. N64jive: Same concern arises at every forum I've discussed this matter on. Mod Mark H stated in this thread on February 3rd 2011 the change only applied to bans during or after 2011. None prior. Bladewing: The stats are wiped. It's evidence items aren't wiped. YouTube name Symtec16 and see what I mean. Kid bots for fire cape. Jagex reset him to combat 4. Kid keeps fire cape @ combat 4. djpailo: No one stated they are perfect. I am the user with the most bans and the longest ban and the shortest ban in RuneScape history. (Kire667, 13 perm bans, 2 perm mutes, shortest was 24 hours, longest was 3 years.) So no. No one claimed perfect. In fact all of us are a little ****** up in some shape or fashion (some worse than others). Brazz: My point is they shouldn't charge us for an appeal. Extreme offenses of RWT and Bot would NEVER be given another chance if they already got a slap on the wrist with the first few reports and temp bans. Legit players whom earn stats and don't cheat are far from perfect. We are mature enough and have morals to know that karma is a ***** and will return to bite us in the ass if we cheat the system or go around scamming every person we come across. I know all the ins and outs of this game. I also memorized every rule to know when I've gone too far over a borderline and I know my rights as a player under their terms of use since 2003.. and oh how many times that AND the rules page have been altered or added upon. Fact remains. Payment for our right that's already given to us as player is wrong. If they needed extra money all they have to do is match the monthly cost of World of Warcraft. I personally am willing and able to fork over $15 per month. I already pay membership on 2-3 accounts per month due to ADHD and my lack of care to stick with a single stat for too long. And I also enjoy being both a main and a pure --and a clanchat on the side of all that. ring world: If ever you need another appeal after your final appeal and last chance appeal are exhausted -- head over to the "Account Review" thread posted by Mod Crow since March 2009. They close and re-open that thread from time to time to review a few more accounts and give second chances to everyone (except botters). This is why if you bot never admit to it. You've no idea how many botters come to me on game or YouTube and ask how to get out of ban after they've already been found guilty or openly admitted in chatlog to offense. If your offense is mere forum ban. Pay for a new account or hop on one with over 350 skill total. Make a reply to Mod Crow's thread. Takes roughly 12-14 days for inbox ON the account name posted for review in the thread.
  10. foursideking: Just give it until 2012. Once they work out the bugs we all could just buy rares from sites, and run the risk of ban. If caught we can buy back those RWT items and the account from Jagex for slightly less than we paid for the rares and all is well. At least that's the sense Jagex is instilling on their game this month. About people thinking this is due to some sort of lacked funds on Jagex behalf... let's think about this. I doubt they have any sort of budget issues being the largest F2P MMORPG in the world. They're 2nd only to World of Warcraft or they'd be the largest P2P MMORPG as well. They have plenty of money mooched off players to offer free $10000 cash prize to people that do nothing more than pay for membership monthly. We've paid this for the past 7 years and never had a lottery to win $10000 a year. But I still see no need to hand out money for doing nothing at all. Maybe give that $10000 to the Player Moderator of the month that makes the most reports with the least false bans/mutes taking place on their fault. THAT would make this the ultimate policed game in the world. Does ANYONE ELSE recall a post last year claiming free $10000 to people that pay membership? Who knew that money would come from bots and RWT buying back accounts? Fook: And when have they been known to play anything right? They failed to advertise RuneFest much and that was a massive money maker for us loyals. They had Mod Andrew post in 2007 claiming botting and RWT is a growing problem that had to be dealt with or the game would fall apart. Then he hands it over to Mod MMG who rolls back everything Andrew ever said. RWT was majority voted in by bot accounts on F2P with the ability to auto spam votes like they auto spam forums. And claim it a legit vote when it should have been for P2P strictly because bots are less inclined to pay per vote to win their favor. And soon they will accept cash to keep your ban hushed while restoring your items/stats/account. The offense isn't kept on record. Nobody will know you ever botted or RWT. They already keep the first payment for membership. They want even more money to pay for the restored account. Not all bans will be offered this. If Jagex is in dire need of funds they will accept more payments. Rollbacks are done to bots. But if you RWT you are not only rolledback but you also lose items and get banned. Who's to say it isn't better/cheaper to simply buy a new/better account? Jagex now indirectly encourages this. Adjusted? To what degree? Back to everything 1/1 or only since they're found guilty for botting/RWT?
  11. Oh hey. Thanks for the feedback about the new Bans and Mutes page update at Jagex.

Not sure you remember me. But you commented on that pre-RuneFest video on YouTube I made. ;) Wanted to say thanksk.

  12. Pal2002: Now you see why Zezima and Athymy quit? And that's merely a few of the top names. Many player mods have relinquished their powers over this hidden update. And watch when LogDotZip and Excl return to the game... I can only imagine what NightmareRh will have to say when he discovered the biggest corruption exposure ever. Tripsis: Not so much they would want to buy back the account if rolled back stats and items. They will DEFINITELY buy a new account STILL leaving Jagex with a lack of funds from the process. I can't believe they're not reading a damn thing anyone posted on their site or any site for this matter. They haven't answered any posted questions on the forum thread "Ban Appeal Reinstatement" where several Forum and Player mods have already gathered to attempt to back reasons they themselves obviously don't fully understand. Jagex finally discusses this secret update. Thanks to Mod Mark H. Still no specifics on which rules this works for. QFC: 250-251-685-62305961 Apparently it's only cheaters that need to be concerned. Throwing RWT rares and riches back into the mix that have been banned from game doesn't concern any of us unless we're the ones buying/selling the items IRL. Amusing. QFC: 129-130-874-62301629 Fake girl has this to add.
  13. The Jagex official clan chat of world 9.

Jagex listed "World 9 Headquarters" thread "catherby_9" cc.

  14. Triquos: You're as shocked as I. I've been here 2003-2011. I got banned August 2005 for mention of my YouTube channel. I've never been famous like Excl but I've been on YouTube longer than Zezima's join date. And yet I get the banhammer. I didn't pay Jagex because we didn't have that option until 2011. I had to sit and wait while my final chance was declined. 2009 rolls around. Tehnoobshow says "Let's have a YouTube gathering" on the forums and suddenly all is forgiven. I get my account back as Rule-11 is removed forever! The moral of the story goes.. those whom break KNOWN rules as I have under old Rule-11 changed from "No Scam Websites" to just "No Websites" back in 2005 year start was my fault. And I have paid the price in years not money. Offering money to let offenders of FAR WORSE offense off with a mere slap on the wrist and 24-hour "perm ban" isn't acceptable. If Mod Andrew were still around this game would run FAR better. He always had a zero-tolerance policy when it came to bots. All Mod MMG and Mod SteveW do is roll them around.
