RuneScape Information

  1. I do bosses more than regular pvm, that's why I have the CLS. rapier or maul is better than cls on nearly every boss where melee is best, i dont see your point I understand where you're coming from, but what I'm saying is, CLS has a slash, which is what Bandos is weakest to, and Bandos is what I do normally. I chose the CLS for this reason. What I'm asking is not CLS or CR, it's which next, aside from Rapier.

  3. I'm debating on which Chaotic to get next. I've been wanting the CKS, but was told not to get it for a while. I then thought I should get the CS, which, since it's mage, it has no real use other than pvp, which is what I'd like to use it for, and for other things when combined with the Surgebox. Then there is the Rapier, which, since I already have the CLS, seems a bit out of the question. Which one should I get?
  4. What kind of router would support so many different internet connections?
  5. I did as you said, I shut off the PS3, and my sisters laptop. Right after my ping dropped from 1k to about 200 from the PS3, then from 200 to 60-100. I assume that means overload of Local Network?
  6. I have never had this problem before, and I seem to have no solution atm. Normally when I'm playing RuneScape, or just browsing the web, everything runs normally. Up until about a week ago, when it took me a lot longer to load everything, and while playing RuneScape, I had a delay of ~5 seconds. I decided to look at my ping, and the results were surprisingly high. I did the test in Command Prompt, and had a ping of 712ms being average, 387ms lowest, and 1088ms being highest. Two days ago, I ran the same test, and the highest was 2028ms, lowest being 1892ms. It has never been this high, normally I run at about 30-60ms. It's causing problems for me, as I can't do anything I want in RuneScape without having a massive delay. A few things to know: I have a PS3, which runs off of Wireless internet through a linksys router. My family normally uses it to watch movies on Netflix. We have an Xbox360, which my brother never shuts off, which runs on wired internet. (He literally has it on 24/7, which is bad for the Xbox.) We have 6 laptops, and 2 desktops, but normally only 1 desktop and 2 laptops are on at a time. Now, I've noticed that my ping is only high at about 1pm-2am ish. I can't be sure what's causing this, and I don't know how to fix it. Any suggestions, other than playing RuneScape from 3am-noon?
  7. Thanks for all of the help. I still get the message on start up, as I have yet to do anything. But, I did purchase a new Harddrive, and I can now at least start my OS and go online. When I get the time, I'll turn of Hard disk in the boot order in the BIOS, and continue to look at everything else that was said.
  8. Half solved, I have gotten rid of the second problem, thanks to Nyosuht, he told me to pull out non essentials, one of those I took out being the HDD, which ultimately stopped that problem, so I could enter the BIOS, and simply restore defaults. However, I still need to fix the Diskette error.
  9. Ah crap. I'ma try to get some of these to work, but if I don't get it to work, I'll send it in. Thanks all.
  10. I've been having some problems with my computer, one being that I cannot load anything because I get an error message saying: 1.0.7 Main processor: AMD Atholon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+ Memory testing: 41247744k OK+ 64m Shared memory(Installed memory 4194304k) SATA 0 : None SATA 1 : TSSTcorp CD-RW/DVD-ROM TS-H493B D200 SATA 2 : None SATA 3 : None Diskette drive 0 seek failure. Now, I know I can enter the BIOS to change setting around, but now I have a new problem, and whenever I try to enter the BIOS, or even turn on the computer, I get a message saying: MediaShield ROM BIOS 6.95 Copyright © 2006 NVIDIA Corp Detecting Array... Now, I looked at what that means, and I can fix this easily in the BIOS, but I can't enter the BIOS, or even turn on the computer without getting this screen, and I've waited to see if it can detect anything, but it can't. So, is there any way these two can be fixed?
  11. No need to sell just because of a virus. Absolute worst case scenario would be having to get a new Hard Drive. Try installing malwarebytes onto a memory stick from another computer and running in safe mode. It should be able to catch it. I would agree with trying to remove the virus before selling it. You'd get more for it. And well, the thing is he wanted to get a new one because it's ~11 years old. I have attempted to remove it the virus before hand, and it just came back. That, or it's a new virus. I've already purchased a new computer, and it's going to come in about a week. As for my current desktop, I'll format it, and sell it. I'm getting annoying with it, however, because it takes 20 minutes to start up, and formatting it might take a few hours. Sad thing is.. The time of purchase, it was around $400.. And the computer I just bought was $120, and it's 4x better with everything, RAM, Hard Drive, and Graphics card.
  12. My system is from about... ~2000, so it's pretty old. I've closed all programs, yet same result. I've just decided to purchase a new computer, a much better computer, yet for the same price I paid for this one 10 years ago. Lol. I've been unable to remove the virus, as, it seems to have blocked any way for me to use anti-virus software. But, it's an old computer and needs to be taken apart anyway.
  13. That's my main problem. I cannot use task manager due to a virus. The virus disabled it, and every way to get it back. :/ Otherwise I would do so. I'm probably going to end up selling this computer and buying a new one, as it's more than likely a problem with the computer itself.
  14. I have no problem while being on the internet. I used to play Asda Stories, but never had this problem.
  15. I have done all of the options in the RS problem post, yet still having a problem. When running the Downloaded client of RuneScape, at some point, it freezes, so I close the client, and it will not become unfrozen. So, I re-open the client, and it says "Loading Configuration - 0%" The entire time, with nothing loading. I also run the web client, and I get the game crash error every time I load the game, even in the lowest settings. I've allocated memory, cleared cache, everything like that, yet nothing has worked. Any suggestions?
