The article makes it pretty clear that it isn't just some kid lying. The article only mentions dozens of numbers starting with 49 since that's the area code for Newcastle and the article was written for the newspaper in that area (has been picked up by other newspapers too). There are earlier articles dating back to the start of the month that cover the same thing. yikes! looks like i need a distraction :rolleyes: :thumbsup:

either that or the kid isnt telling his parents that hes wasting money on an online game and they think theyre getting falsely billed :wink:

ive tried it all including the phone number i used to pay for membership. i paid my sms. only thing i dont have is the pin they sent me because it was ages ago and the message had been deleted off my phone.

so i've been playing on and off for a couple of years now and recently decided to try logging in again. the 2 main accounts that i use being my main and my pure's passwords have been changed. i am absolutely certain that the password i tried is the correct one but i even tried a few other possibilities only to be unsuccessful. i tried logging into other accounts that i dont use as often and they worked fine so ive come to the conclusion ive been hacked. ive sent in numerous recovery requests but all of them have been denied. i keep getting a reply saying to add any further information to prove i am the original owner of the account to the box that says "additional information" and it also gives a list of things i could write in there. only problem with that is that i am only limited to 300 characters and no matter how much i try to abbreviate and fit in as much information as possible it just doesnt seem to be enough. so my question is, is there perhaps a different way of contacting jagex through email or what not with further information regarding my authenticity to the accounts?

i dont understand how u can have a 300m+ bank and not understand the general concept of the wildy..

im new to members and not sure what exactly it takes to get a fire cape in terms of skills and levels.. my levels are: 41 atk 87 str 20 def 91 range 44 prayer 85 magic 82 hp 1 summoning 75 cb... is that good enough to get a fire cape and if so what should i carry in my inventory in terms of potions and food? what tactics or tricks can i use to get it? all help is appreciated.. thanks in advance :D

im still leaning towards staying a lower lvl.. im in a clan atm and i dont want to go to far above the avg cb lvl.. i had my goals set on 78 cb, 99 str, 99 range, 99 magic, 99 hp, 44 prayer but i guess i cant do that now.. thanks for the help though i think i might start working on another 1 def pure

ok so i log out in the GE with 1 def, 40 atk, 82 str, 83 range, 85 magic, 79 hp, 44 prayer - 66 cb i wake up the next day and pay to become a member then log in to find my self with 41 atk and 13 def - 69 cb i was in a different location training on scorpians and came to the conclusion i was hacked.. thankfully no items were taken and no recovery questions or passwords were changed.. wat do i do now?? i am now a member and feel it is a bit of a waste now that my account isnt all wat i want it to be.. i no 13 def and 41 atk doesnt seem like much difference but it is to me :( any advice is greatly appreciated!! or is there anyway i can contact jagex and they miraculously change my stats back??

im sorry but how is this in any way a pker?? ur stats r that off a low lvl main.. tbh my pure is 77 str and with pot and prayer it hits hard on def and with a side of 82 range and 77 magic it has support for when tanks decide to change armour or pray...

i played rune scape classic late '03.. does that count? :rolleyes:
