  1. Probably days played, although I wouldn't be surprised if I got both.
  2. I will be attempting this on a second account, starting from scratch. Let me know any tips you guys have. Consider money a non-issue. Thanks
  3. Figured I'd shake things up a bit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oX3J15Ei9GA&feature=channel_video_title Appreciate it if you guys would read what I have to say in the comments before hating. Good luck to Suomi, Tezz, Foot, and everyone else with a goal of 200m all skills!
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3DhnCbgJtA&feature=feedlik My friend Pale White (current RSN = DonBoggis) told me about his idea to Dharok Cave Crawlers today. I had never heard of someone attempting that before, I didn't even know the smoke stopped dealing damage at 10 lp either. I'm not sure what the actual exp is (he's not much of an statistician) but the video is definitely worth checking out.
  5. Chris, I like you alot, and I am not trying to sound like a [bleep] here, but I think this needs to be said. Every time someone on this thread seems to post about a new idea regarding efficiency, you seem to try and take credit (usually in part) for having the idea yourself. I do not know if this is your intention, but the way you word things often makes it seem that way. I would suggest you try to avoid this. You are no doubt knowledgeable regarding efficiency, but that does not mean you have to discredit others. Regardless of whether or not you did the calcs on the idea, you were not the one who tested/proved it. In real life, an idea is not worth anything compared to the proven concept. I don't know if you remember Zarfot saying all the time that most of the ways he trained he did not come up with, but seeing how in many ways your youtube channel has replaced his for efficiency videos, you may do well to try and emulate him in that regard. A little humility goes a long way. I apologize if I offend you by posting this, but I hope you heed the advice. My Dad once gave me some really good advice, which I think you may benefit from. He said "never let the fruits of success bring about the illusion of wisdom". Everyone has something to learn, and everyone has new ideas to contribute. Admitting you hadn't heard of a certain method before is never a bad thing. 1. Not offended at all (: Youve been a friend for quite awhile and said it in a non trolling way. 2. Would have rather u pm'ed me lol. 3. Rs forum -> Time for 5b xp pretty sure some posts on there of discussion of talking about barraging/chinning crawlers awhile back with thai but neither of us could afford it so we were looking for someone to test. Never said the chinning was my idea up there ^ believe it was thais if I remember correctly. Also last discussion about a new efficient method was fm ing with pyrelord didnt take credit for that either so id like to at least see a bit of evidence with your post if your really going to say that.. Also my post was a set up to see who says something about them knowing elvis or talking to him about the method so I could ask them to get the kill p/h results as well to incorperate it eventually into a thread me and a friend are working on making. Lastly nowhere did I take credit in my post about barraging crawlers point of that sentence is according to the guestimates I had before, meleeing should> barraging or be very closed so again, want to get elvis'es results on barraging. Fair enough, I can look back for another post like this if you want, but I'll pm you the page its on rather than posting it here. Also, I have to do this. "Also my post was a set up to see who says something about them knowing elvis or talking to him about the method so I could ask them to get the kill p/h results as well to incorperate it eventually into a thread me and a friend are working on making."

  7. Awesome interview Suomi, really enjoyed it. Also grats to foot on 200m hunter, and Tezz as well. I was talking to Lemar last night and he pointed out that there has never been a player who is rich, a "tryhard" (by that he meant a very efficient player) and a nolifer. It is that combination which is required to be #1? If no one has ever done it, then has anyone ever been close? I would say Zarfot had the tryhard and rich part down, but his 6 hour a day average was far from nolifing. That said, he was playing alot more during the few months up until he quit. Interested in hearing people's thoughts. Also, off topic, but @DustinHoffmanIrl Shocked by your vocabulary and prophetic ramblings (if I may call them that), I still find it difficult to believe you are actually Dustin Hoffman, posting on a runescape fansite thread. Not that I am judging you for that, but just the unlikeliness of that occurring blows my mind lol. That said, Rainman is one of my favorite movies haha.
  8. That made me lol irl :P Tezz a day away from 200M hunter, interesting to see what he trains next. Btw, is Tezz to poor to farm or just very lazy? probably a combination of him being lazy, poor, and cheap.
  9. You know rs has crashed when there are suddenly 60 people reading this topic, lol.
  10. Plural/singular maybe? Many being more than one mani being singular idfk Yeah that probably makes sence, on his alog on rs site it said i killed many mithril dragons, probably irc being nub :P, wekk your reply to my post makes the topic go even more off topic, dont reply to it if you don't want to L. O.T. I'm not sure if theres a bit of competition there between Tezz and Foot in hunter but it's been good tracking them, well done to both when they reach 200M next week. Knowing both of them fairly well, I can say this: Tezz did not care if Foot beat him as long as Chilly did not (Lol) Foot wanted to beat Tezz initially, but he was so far behind it would have been incredible if he did. He has accepted that its not going to happen, but he did close about a 20m gap. Grats to both as you said. O.T. who else is excited about the Suomi interview next week?
  11. I like the slayer day idea, but I'd rather start with a small amount (say 10m) staking, and go from there because that would probably end up being a larger amount for suomi. And I find staking more enjoyable than slayer anyways. I may actually vid it and do like a documentary =P. Obviously though, not everyone could do this because not everyone is a successful staker, lol.
  12. Anyone else notice the scary accuracy of Revan's post lol?
  13. I am shocked at the ratio of no voters to yes voters posting on this thread. I knew there would be more than 10% no voters, but its probably close to 60% no's and 40% yes on this thread atm. Then again, "I told you so" is a lot easier to post about. I think it is important to distinguish between botting and rwt as well. Many players are using the argument that both existed pre-free trade. That is true, but the extent to which they existed is incomparable. It is like saying "well there was ice before the ice age, so its not all that different". Pre free trade, the majority of bots were operated by people seeking to gain levels but too lazy to train themselves. Now, the vast majority of bots are operated by people seeking to gain real life profit by farming gold and selling it. This is a huge change. But the actually RWT is a completely separate issue from botting, although they are tied because bots are essential to many RWTers. Therefore, because it is evident jagex is not able to combat botters, they must turn to stopping RWT, which in turn, will cause bots to disappear. This was the case in 2007 with the initial update. But the problem now is, they are likely benefiting from RWT financially. They evidently got better lawyers to take care of the legal issues present with RWT and now they mostly enjoy the benefits of hundreds of thousands of new member accounts which are botted on. So I do not see them making any significant efforts to stop RWTing at this time, which is sad, although, because they are a after all a company, understandable.
  14. Now that it has been more than 4 months since the return of the wilderness and free trade, and the game (and its players) has had ample time to adapt to the change, I decided its time to make a thread asking how people are feeling now compared to about five months ago. Feel free to post whatever you like, what your vote was, whether or not you regret it based on what came with free trade, jagex (in)sincerity in the reasoning behind the update, etc. My two cents: I was in the minority of players who voted against the return of free trade and the wilderness. I am not, and have never been, a pker, and thus the wilderness aspect didn't really come into play for me (I didn't care one way or the other). But free trade, I was convinced, would be a terrible change for this game. Unfortunately, I believe I was spot on. In many ways, I am better off now than before free trade. I have amassed a small fortune staking (although I have had my fair share of losses), I have benefited from the relaxed prices on the grand exchange in that I have been able to purchase skilling items much more easily, and I now have the ability to help out friends with gp/item lends if they need them. But I wish it was never changed. Gp now has an attached monetary value, and thus greed (which was always present even when real world trading was not rampant) has gone through the roof. Scamming and hacking are now much more common, and new and creative ways to trick naive players out of their cash have arisen, such as dicing and flower games. And obviously, botting is out of control. Whatever it was pre-trade limit in 2007, it is 100x worse. It is actually affecting the vast majority of players ability to play and enjoy the game. How many training spots have you tried, only to find them filled with bots? I am extremely disappointed in jagex's decision making over these last few months. As many have pointed out, they have been profit driven and have been spoiling the game to achieve financial success. Their assurance of "state of the art" bot detection programs was a complete joke. Maybe they would have been perfect for stopping 07 bots, but guess what, bot programmers improved too, and evidently even more than the bot detection systems did. That said, I nonetheless decided to return to the game after a 2 month hiatus between mid february to mid april. After thinking it through, I decided to stick with the game through thick and thin. I enjoy it too much, and have invested considerable time into it, and bad decisions made by the company now running it does not offset the great game and community they have created for me to enjoy. However, botting (particularly for the purpose of rwting) needs to be dealt with swiftly, universally, and permanently, else I do not think I, or anyone else, will be able to continue to play. I do not at all regret my vote, and I highly doubt anyone else who voted no does. I doubt the same can be said for the other 91% of you. Please note: I don't really care if you disagree with my opinion, and I don't want you to counter my argument. Firstly, because I am right and I told you so...just kidding (or am I?), but please don't turn this into a flame filled post full of disagreement. Just post your own point of view and personal reflection on the issue.
  15. Not sure why Tezz's absence has stirred up so much controversy. Though, having known him for a long time, I can say that his not playing for a couple days is unusual, it is not unheard of. I still remember him going on vacation the very week godwars was released, and raging upon his return because he missed out on crazy profits (at the time) from dboots, lol. I haven't been in touch with him recently, so I don't know where he has gone, but Makilio's post a few pages back explains it, and should settle it because Mak's known him longer than I have, and I don't see why he'd have any reason to lie. Oh, and inb4 Foot out nolifes Suomi, Tezz, and all the rest of front page this summer for way more exp than anyone would expect him to get. The kids crazy, gl fut ;)
